Girls Night and Eye Candy

Hi guys! Happy Indian Food Wednesday! Who’s celebrating??? We’re heading to Atlanta later today but I’m going to see if the pilot wants to stop and get Indian to munch on the road 🙂

Last night, the pilot was working late (again) so I met up with the girls for dinner and drinks at Two Friends. Having a girls night was way more fun that making an omelet and chilling at home 😉

I had a glass of Riesling the size of my face,

and ordered the Ahi Tuna with asparagus for my entree.

We were in the mood for dessert, so we each ordered a dessert and shared 😀

I rolled with the tiramisu

and also had bites of the bread pudding (which is foodgasmic) and chocolate mascarpone cheesecake.

We closed the place down! It was lovely 🙂

Here’s the plan for today:

-Weights

-Pack (I made a list but just need to get everything together)

-TurboFire (45 EZ today)

-Drop off the puppers

-Beg Best Buy for my computer (they quoted me two weeks and have had it for 17 days….)

-Get on the road!

See ya this afternoon <3

Ahhhhhhhhh all the Indian Food is making me hungry!!!!! Yummy! I hope you and the pilot get your indian food in tonight before heading off to Atlanta!

I feel your stress on the computer, my fiance had his computer at Best Buy to be fixed as well, they told him 2 weeks and then it turned into a month, and then after almost two months, I kid you not, he calls and they tell him, Oh it cant be fixed, so they replaced it with a new computer, was nice they gave him a new laptop, BUT he didnt get his old laptop back and he had things on there he wanted and a cd in his laptop he forgot to take out of his cd drive too, so it was not a good experience, Best Buy really really stinks with their cusomer service!!!!!!

I hope you get yours back !

  5. Sandra on July 28, 2010 at 10:10 am

Thanks Gina. Now I’m drooling 🙂

      you are welcome 🙂

  6. Holly @ couchpotatoathlete on July 28, 2010 at 10:11 am

Michelle’s homemade naan is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen! Wow. Good luck with Best Buy — I’ve never had any problems with them and their customer service is usually stellar, so I hope it all works out today. I’m sure they are taking good care of Pinkie and getting her all fixed up.

I think it is the unwritten rule that you have to get dessert on a girls night dinner!

    • Fitnessista on July 28, 2010 at 10:25 am

they just called- pinkie is fixed and ready to be picked up!! wahoo!!!!!

  7. April @ Crazy Fabulous Life on July 28, 2010 at 10:15 am

Tiramasu is the best! I have never eaten Indian food, but your blog has made me extremely curious. What do you think would be a good Indian dish for a first timer?

  12. Courtney @ Sweet Tooth, Sweet Life on July 28, 2010 at 10:40 am

Mmmm, tiramisu is great! Unfortunately, the bakery that made my absolute favorite one of ALL TIME closed down, and I have yet to find a replacement that lives up to the old one.

  13. Shanna @ Shanna LIke Banana on July 28, 2010 at 10:59 am

That tiramisu is a beauty! I’ve never seen it made in that fashion. Please send me your leftovers asap 😉

    • Fitnessista on July 28, 2010 at 12:25 pm

      leftovers?? what’s that??

  14. Andrea @ Thin Thighs & Sweet Potato Fries on July 28, 2010 at 10:59 am

OMG, that naan looks divine! Breads are my weakness, especially ones that look as doughy as that one! 😀

How are you liking Turbo Fire, btw? I had a chance to sample it before it came out, but haven’t yet decided if I want to order it. Would love to get your thoughts!

    • Fitnessista on July 28, 2010 at 12:22 pm

i’ve done a few posts about it, but i absolutely love it. so much fun and perfectly challenging 🙂

  18. Tracey @ I'm Not Superhuman on July 28, 2010 at 11:28 am

Eh, tiramisu just doesn’t do it for me. But bread pudding? There’s not even a photo and I’m drooling.

    • Fitnessista on July 28, 2010 at 12:21 pm

Also, I have 8 giveaways going on on my blog right now if anyone wants to check em out!

  20. RhodeyGirl on July 28, 2010 at 11:45 am

Did you ever make any fake tiramisu while on South Beach? I distinctly remember loving a recipe with mascarpone, vanilla, and some chocolate chips!

    • Fitnessista on July 28, 2010 at 12:20 pm

no! i have never heard of that recipe but it sounds awesome 🙂 i used to have the chocolate ricotta pudding every night though (ricotta, cocoa powder and splenda)

  21. Jessica (Fit and Clean) on July 28, 2010 at 12:04 pm

Best Buy quoted me 10 days and they had it for 15 or 16! At least I was out of town while they had it…or I would have been calling every day! 😉

  24. Danielle (Runs on Green) on July 28, 2010 at 12:48 pm

I must re-stock my Indian food! After looking at your pics, I’m going through naan withdrawls

  25. Megan @ Healthy Hoggin' on July 28, 2010 at 12:48 pm

I love tiramisu! And bread pudding is one of my favorites!! I had a “banana bread” bread pudding a couple weeks ago, and it was maybe the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life!

I love Indian Food, but my husband and I can only eat it about once a month– it does a number on our stomachs! It’s so tasty, though, it’s kinda worth it. 😉

Have a fun trip to Atlanta!!

  26. Tina on July 28, 2010 at 12:48 pm

Have a safe trip!!! I hope you find a way to get your Indian food Wed in.

  38. How are you liking the turbo fire? Is it worth getting? I take turbo kickboxing classes at the gym and it would be nice to have a video for at home, but I’m not sure if it’s going to be intense enough?
