Keep Calm

shopping

Well, if you insist….

heh heh. Winking smile

How’s your day going? I’m so glad y’all got a crack out of the foodgasm face. Hilare.

In between moving shenanigans, I met with two of my squadron wife friends for sushi. They were stationed in Valdizzy when we were stationed there, and it was so nice to catch up with them!

The rest of the afternoon was spent shopping with my little cute nana. <3

Fun purchases to make the house more home-y, including:

kitchen (2)

Sieve, eco-friendly oatmeal pot, cooking utensils,

and the CUTEST little pancake pan and flipper:

The roomies already have furniture (bonus!), and I’m contributing wall art, flowers and a futon from the parentals.

I have no idea how these got in there Winking smile

Afternoon snackage:

Beast with arugula, spinach, hummus, balsamic and chickpeas

Almond butter on brown rice bread:

With a side of sleeping Viesa:

Tonight, my madre and I are going to go run errands before I meet up with some friends for a dance class.

Hope you have a lovely evening and I’ll see ya in the morning!

Keep Calm and Sleep On. To this day, I get cranky when I’m starting to become tired just like a kid. Sometimes I just need stop everything and take a nap haha.

I’m glad you are settling it with the puppers and everything. Snowmen dishtowels just make everything more homey 🙂

  9. Heidi on December 15, 2010 at 9:57 pm

I am sure you have answered this numerous times, but what breed is Viesa? She’s absolutely stunning and my hubby wouldn’t believe me when I told him that she’s not a fox.

I bought 2 of those prints after seeing them on Tina’s blog – Keep Calm & Drink Wine and Keep Calm & Eat Cupcakes. Both are appropriate and necessary I think 🙂

  12. Averie (LoveVeggiesandYoga) on December 15, 2010 at 10:09 pm

“This too shall pass”. That’s what I say when the sh*t is hitting the fan. Of which I have major of right now..not that I am blogging about it, but yeah, I am praying, and begging with the Universe for things to work out..and in the meantime, reminding myself that this too shall pass 🙂

As for your apt and roommates and the great serendipity and great fortune of it all…said it on the other post today, but so happy for you!!!!! Truly. I hope you can make your new house a home and love where you’re living. You deserve it. We all do 🙂

  13. Missy on December 15, 2010 at 10:15 pm

  16. Holly @ couchpotatoathlete on December 15, 2010 at 10:28 pm

Keep calm & relax. I get so wound up about the smallest thing that I usually need to remind myself to relax and stay calm!!!

I have a ton of kitchen stuff that has that little egg guy!!! He is so damn cute.

  17. Christin@purplebirdblog on December 15, 2010 at 10:32 pm

Mine would have to be “Keep Calm and Hug Doggies” 🙂

  18. Mara @ What's For Dinner? on December 15, 2010 at 10:40 pm

  21. Lindsay on December 15, 2010 at 11:01 pm

My favorite “Keep Calm” is the original “Keep Calm And Carry On”… I even have it framed and sitting on my end table!

  22. Alison (Fueling for Fitness) on December 15, 2010 at 11:24 pm

Which this was available to us in Canada..but I have feeling not?

  23. Alison (Fueling for Fitness) on December 15, 2010 at 11:25 pm

    I meant to say *wish!

  24. Jill on December 15, 2010 at 11:36 pm

Keep Calm and Drink Tea.. Keep Calm and Read On! Those would be for me. I drink a ridiculous amount of tea. There is very limited cupboard space in my apartment but I still had to dedicate almost an entire cupboard to my tea collection, so that’s valuable real estate. And I read like nobody’s business! Friday is my last exam EVER in university, and my first act as a university graduate will be to read all my Harry Potter books, but I’m not sure what I’ll do the day after that. 😉

  25. Janna on December 15, 2010 at 11:54 pm

Mine would totally say “Keep Calm and Procrastinate On” Ha!

I love the parody ones too “Freak Out and Throw Stuff” hahaha.

  26. Mama Pea on December 15, 2010 at 11:56 pm

I want one that says “Keep Calm and Eat Peas”

But the throwing stuff one is more like me.

  27. Elisabeth on December 16, 2010 at 12:04 am

Definitely “Keep Calm and Eat a Cupcake” for me. We have the cutest pink notebooks with this on them where I work… Must resist urge to buy presents for myself at this time of year though!

  28. Jacquie on December 16, 2010 at 12:25 am

“Keep Calm and Bake Cookies” would be mine. I bake every time I’m stressed as stirring, kneading and folding relieves all the stress from my body and puts it into something loving.

However, I do agree with Gabriela too because I eat chocolate multiple times a day and that saying could easily work too 🙂

  29. Ilana on December 16, 2010 at 12:28 am

“Freak out … and bust a move.”

  30. Whitney on December 16, 2010 at 4:20 am

    Gina–
Congrats on the move. I follow your blog but this is my first comment… You mentioned that you have roommates now. What happens when your husband returns from active? Are you going to go to Flordia to visit him?

    Congrats again!

  31. Katie on December 16, 2010 at 6:53 am

Yay for sushi with your friends! I need some sushi in my life soon!

Hmmmmmmmmm I def like the Keep Calm and Shop On, but I also Like Keep Calm and Rock on !

  32. ashley nicole on December 16, 2010 at 7:58 am

i’ve always like the Keep Calm and Have a Cupcake 😉

  33. Baking 'n' Books on December 16, 2010 at 8:29 am

I’m not a big shopper – because I don’t have the money! – but I think I would use that one “Keep calm and go shopping” – simply because it just gives the sense that you can at least go, forget about things while walking around the mall, wandering in and out of stores looking at the clothes (ahem, trying some one – y’know just in case 😉 ), browsing through books (my favorite!), reading Holiday cards…and stopping for a Caramello Coffee and maybe a giant white chocolate macadamia nut cookie.

    Y’know, maybe.

    🙂

  34. Elizabeth on December 16, 2010 at 9:24 am

I saw a version that said “Freak Out and Throw Things” (but was done with the same font and the crown and everything)…made my day!!

  35. Katie on December 16, 2010 at 9:51 am

Mine would be “Keep Calm and Go Clean Something”. But one that’s more fun “Keep Calm and Dance Around the Condo Like You’re at the Club”. 🙂

    • Fitnessista on December 16, 2010 at 10:49 am

      haha!

  36. Pam on December 16, 2010 at 10:16 am

    Gina,

I ordered your Sun Warrior Deal….very sweet….thank you!

Have never tried it before….so very excited!

    Happy Holidays!

    • Fitnessista on December 16, 2010 at 10:49 am

      you will love it 🙂

  37. Kayla on December 16, 2010 at 10:31 am

I TOTALLY have that pan and flipper. My mom bought them for me a few years ago, and they are SO cute!

  38. Lauren @ Fun, Fit and Fabulous! on December 16, 2010 at 10:47 am

Mine would definitely have to be “keep calm and go running.” I would be a total basket case if I didn’t run to release me stress!! I’m glad the move is going well!

  39. Meaghan on December 16, 2010 at 10:50 am

I have a Keep Calm and Drink Coffee sign hanging in my kitchen. I lurve coffee so it’s a good one for me. I got at Homegoods and they also had one of the Now Panic and Freak Out signs which I found pretty hilar.

  40. Chelsea @ One Healthy Munchkin on December 16, 2010 at 11:34 am

Haha “Keep calm and go shopping” sounds like my perfect motto! There’s nothing like a little retail therapy to destress. 😉

  41. Ryan on December 17, 2010 at 9:56 am

I have a sign that says “Keep Calm and Love Dachshunds”. LOVE!

PS–my husband swears that Viesa is a wolf 🙂
