Guess who’s been a lazy bum tonight?? *raises hand* ME! To be honest, I’m not feelin’ so hot but more on that in a second :/

In happier news, I received the most lovely package from Katie today!

I asked for something fun from One Lucky Duck in exchange for some raw macaroons and she surprised me with a boatload of glorious goodies.

package

Cinnamon crispies from One Lucky Duck:

crispies

A nougat bar for the pilot:

bar

CHOCOLATE AGAVE SAUCE (foodgasms in the near future.. I can already tell)

chocagave

And a new book!

book

Pretty amazing, right?

Thank you again, so much Katie <3

So to be honest with ya’ll, not too much happened according to the grand plan for the day. No run, no tart-making, nada. I often get asked how I don’t get burned out with all of the things I do (four jobs is a lot, haha). The only thing that keeps me going is when on nights like tonight, when I start to feel a little exhausted, worn down, or kinda sick, I lay low for the night. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, I take a little break.

Off to continue my bum night and I”ll see ya in the morning, refreshed and doing the Friday dance.

xoxo,

Gina

I hear ya, gina….it’s days like these that help us recoup our energy and strength. Our body is an amazingly designed machine…often people don’t listen to their bodies; honor your body, your strengths and weaknesses and go with the flow.
I have a question for you- what is your facial skin care regimen?…what cleansing and moisturizing products do you use?..do you use your coconut oil on your face?
Enjoy!… we are having a winter snowstorm…18 to 24 inches of snow expected over today and tomorrow.

Vegging out is a cure all – that’s what I’ve been doing since last night. Coming home from my business trip coupled with more work and school made K a very unhappy person. What a lovely gift from Katie! She’s such a doll 🙂

    Happy Friday, G$!

That’s an AWESOME book and totally got me into eating local…or trying to a bit. Don’t know how easy that will be in Valdosta. I’m not even sure where Valdosta is…hahah.

  46. Katie on February 5, 2010 at 2:35 pm

Good for you for taking a much-needed night off. Nothing wrong with veging! I’m doing that tomorrow during the day, and can’t WAIT.

  47. Bridget on February 5, 2010 at 6:51 pm

I am in need of some expert advice on weight lifting! First of all let me say that you have inspired me to lift weights with your shape up plan! See my problem is that I run… and only run! I have been trying to follow your shape up plan and work my abs regularly, however, I feel like my lower back/muffin top is not going away. Do you have any tips on how to work this particular area? I thought that doing intervals on the treadmill would have an impact, but I’m not seeing it. Perhaps I’m impatient!

    • Fitnessista on February 5, 2010 at 6:57 pm

      hey bridget,
      here’s a post i did all about abs: http://fitnessista.com/?p=4136
😀 hang in there and eventually you’ll see the results you’re looking for!
