Livi-isms

Drinking juice

I have to tell you guys about the scary face. I’m thisclose to posting a picture of it, but then someone would have to make a meme and my child would be forever known as “evil toddler” or something like that. One day, out of the blue, she looked at us, slightly tilted her head down, and glared up with her little dark eyes. It was the creepiest thing we’ve ever seen, and Tom and I basically died laughing. So, naturally, she learned that the “scary face” is hilarious and will do it opportune times throughout the day. Oh man.

Tom told me that while they were driving, and I was following them in our other car, she was saying, “Mom.. where are you? MOM? Where are you? GINA? Where are you, Gina?”

“Frosty… SNOWMAN! Uh, jolly happy SOUL. Corn cob pipe button nose…. SNOW! Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle alllll WAY! Frosty. SNOWMAN”

Me: “Livi, did you see your cousins?”

Livi: “The hula girls. Yes”

“Dada, I want to go to Minnie Mouse house.”

Me: “Livi, what do you want for breakfast?”

Livi: “Ummmm…. PIZZA”

Weekend mornings, Tom or myself will get Livi from her crib when she’s awake and bring her into our bed to see the dogs and finish and waking up. He brought her in one morning, she curled up with me and said, “Mama! I missed you all day.” And then my heart exploded.

    Love this…beyond words.

I need to start a Baylie-isms notebook since I don’t have a blog. Latest on that would be from last night… It was her first time watching her daddy play basketball (she’s 17 months). She learned that people cheer at “random” times. So she began saying “yaaaayyyy daddy!!” over an over again. My heart looks like the scene from the Grinch when it bursts out of his chest cavity. And I’m pretty sure daddy is still cleaning up the puddle that he melted into when he heard her.

I used to say “baa baa black sheep, packy packy wool!!!” when I was Liv’s age! My parents and brothers would DIE laughing!

So cute! And she has such a big vocab for a two year old!
Most people have to translate what their toddlers say for me and look at me like “DUH! She said *huge long sentence*” and all I hear is “blahblahblahblahcookieblah”
So I’ve mastered the big eyed “Oh wow! How cool!” – seems to make the little ones happy haha!

I love this. You should pick up the Quotable Kids journal to keep these things in.

I can’t wait until my boy starts talking. He babbles away all day long and I’m so curious as to what kinds of things he has to say.

Pizza for breakfast? We might be related. With those beautiful dark eyes, I’m sure she has a good scary face! Haha…yes write down the things she says because you will laugh at them for years! We still laugh at stuff that my 7 year old nephew said when he was 2.

    Too cute!

The singing is so cute! I love when they call us by name, haha. My son calls my husband by name sometimes and thinks it’s funny, but he doesn’t usually do it with me.

And when they say they miss us or love us, it’s basically the best thing ever. You will love love love when you have another one someday and Livi tells her sibling she loves him/her. Melts my heart every time my son says it to my daughter.

  24. Cassie on December 22, 2013 at 1:41 pm

Awwww! Even my heart is a puddle now 😀
