Lovely Day for a Tea Giveaway

Hellooooooo 😀 How are ya?? I’m so glad ya’ll are liking the Winter Shape Up workouts! Keep up the amazing work and update me with how you’re doing! I’ve already heard some awesome feedback from this week’s workout. Check it out, yo 😉

Today has been a chocolatey day.

It all started with this beast:

bfast cookie

An ooey, gooey chocolate bfast cookie.

-1/2 cup multigrain oats

-1 smashed banana

-almond milk

-raw cacao powder

-1 T almond butter

-1/2 scoop vanilla Sun Warrior

-drizzle of the agave cacao syrup Katie sent me

I am a hardcore chocolate lover, and this was almost a little too much sweet for breakfast.

You never would have guessed from my mid-morning snack:

bar

Bahah. More chocolate 😉

Guess lots of veggies are in my lunch future.

I also had a shot of “C”:

emergen c

(Tip: when you use less water, it tastes WAY better)

And LOTS of tea.

tea

(Thank you again to Celestial Seasonings for the sample!)

Whatever this weird ick is, I’m still fighting it 🙂

I spent the morning cleaning the casa then took these little monkeys to the vet.

dogs

Viesa had to get her bordatella, and Bella cowered in the corner the whole time even though she didn’t need to get anything today. They both got ice cream afterwards, though 😉

I’m about to take them for a walk, then meeting Jeni at the gym.

I told you guys that this week I’d let you know about the craziness that’s going on in my life (it’s all good stuff) so I thought I’d start with a little hint.

I’ll be wearing these again:

shoes

😉

Have a wonderful day and I’ll see you soon!

xoxo,

Gina

I’m such a fan of EmergenC! I swear that combined with a green juice or smoothie can be the perfect cold/flu/anything remedy.

I just saw your edit about the comments. Please don’t enter me in the giveaway – I don’t drink tea so I don’t want to take away someone else’s chances of winning. Thanks!!

this is one exciting giveaway! i love celestial seasonings, but my grad student budget doesn’t always allow for it. I’ve definitely been feeling bloated and in general unhappy with my digestion so I would LOVE to try the Tummy Mint!

haha i have no idea what those shoes go to, guess i’ll have to find out.

also, as a sidenote/question, my gym is closed because of the east coast snow. is there anything i can use besides weights and a stability ball to do the WSU in my apartment? i have textbooks and cans for the free weights, but i’m not totally sure i can replicate the ball, haha.

Ooo cliffhanger!! Haha can’t wait to find out what’s going on! I did your Winter Shape-up workout today, it was great! Thanks so much!

  18. Emily on February 8, 2010 at 11:31 pm

i love tea! better for me than coffee for late night studying!
also i did the shoulder and chest workout for the intro to weights and when i did push-ups on the stability ball, my lower back really started to hurt. Is there something I’m doing wrong? Thanks Gina!

  19. Erica Rose on February 9, 2010 at 1:25 am

I’ve been sick for 3 weeks now! Sniffling, coughing, feeling like crap. Tea makes me feel better no matter what, so I’d be super excited to get any of it!!

  20. Romy on February 9, 2010 at 1:39 am

Hm, those shoes remind of cooking classes 😀

  21. Ashley on February 9, 2010 at 8:09 am

hey Gina! I know this is totally random and unrelated but I would really appreciate any help you can give me! I saw you just did a 10 miler and that is awesome! 🙂 I am just getting back to running after recovering from an injury and I was wondering what pace you ran at for that 10 miler? do you recommend a certain time for runners starting back up again for the first few weeks? I used to run 8:00-8:30 min miles and now Im not sure what to run at…I know it should be slower, but what? like 9 min/mile?? Thanks so much!

    • Fitnessista on February 9, 2010 at 8:17 am

      hey ashley,
my pace for each mile is on that post: http://fitnessista.com/?p=5412
i’d say if you’re getting back into it, to start at lower mileage (4 or 5) and add some on each week to your long run
