New goat cheese lurve

Heyyyy 😀 How are ya? Hope you’ve had a great day so far <3 I loved reading your breaking up with trainer stories. Not going to lie- as a trainer, quite a few of them scared me. Definitely use your instincts when you’re paying someone to affect your health/fitness… if it’s not working, you’ll know.

This morning, I went to pump some crazy iron and totally forgot my headphones at home. So instead of wah-wah-ing, I left my iPhone in the car and enjoyed a totally technology-less workout. It was actually a nice change to workout without a podcast or song playing- very nice 🙂

Post-workout snack:

apple

Organic apple with TJs honey goat gouda, which my be my new goat cheese love

+ seaweed snacks

snacks

+ a mountain of popcorn.

I finally saw The Help today, and it was AMAZING.

Today was going to be a 100% chore, clean, errand, plan out my life day, but when my nana called asking if I’d join them on a movie date (nana, madre, a cousin and a family friend), I couldn’t resist.

I read the book last summer –couldn’t put it down- and the movie was so very well done. The casting was perfect for the roles and I cried about 4 times during the movie. Definitely bring a tissue with you if you decide to go 😉 [and read the book first- it’s one of my faves!]

Lunch:

lunch

An egg-rito on a teff tortilla with salsa + steamed broccoli with sea salt and nutritional yeast

lunch (2)

The Pilot just got home from work, dinner is simmering away on the stove

dinner

(love one-pot wonders)

and we’re going to try to figure out if we can fix this…

plant

That used to be attached to the wall, but apparently some crazy storm detached it while we were gone this weekend?

Poor plant.

Cardio time over here- see ya in the morning <3

xoxo

Something to talk about: What are you most excited for about fall? I know summer is still here for a while (104 here today!), but I can’t help but dream about pumpkin everything 🙂 Also up there: [vegan] hot cocoa, sweaters + leggings + boots, and Halloween 😀

I am definitely going to miss summer, but at this time of year I start to get so excited for fall! One big thing is, I have my birthday to look forward to (October 19th!), but most of all, it is the beginning of a new school year. A brand new batch of kids to get to know!
I also can’t wait for Halloween!!!!!! My husband and I throw a party ever year. I’m a little bummed, because I don’t think we will be having one this year, so I’m hoping a friend does! 🙂

Goat Gouda look so good! I’ll have to try that. Also, I really want to see the Help! I’ve read the book and have been dying to watch it. Everyone I speak to gives it rave reviews!!

I didn’t have a tissue on me when I saw The Help this past Sunday and I couldn’t bare to leave the theater to get a tissue in case I missed something so I was forced to use my sweater. Gross I know but it was too good!

Where do you find all of those delicious sounding goat cheeses?! I’ve only seen the typical soft goat cheese- which is still good, don’t get me wrong- I’m ready to expand my horizons!

I’m psyched for the fall- first year teaching and wedding planning!

    Hi!

I’m sure you may have chatted about this elsewhere, but I am new to your blog and am very curious about nutritional yeast!! I’m just trying to get my healthy life back on track and this is very food/ingredient is new to me, what is it?? What does it taste like?! How nutritional is nutritional yeast! Ps… As I’m changing pretty much all my daily habits, I really find your blog and other similar blogs super helpful for staying on track and making as many good decisions as possible, so thanks for sharing 🙂

GAh Gouda is my favorite cheese – there is a goat version?!?

I am SO excited for fall clothes – boots, light sweaters, layers – and the smell of fall, I love it! It’s my favorite season!

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go to TJ’s and buy some goat gouda!

I saw that honey goat gouda on Trader Joe’s website, and it almost made me want to drive across the boarder just to try it out.
