Not As Planned

Hi guys! 😀 How’s your weekend been?

Thanks for your support on my breakup with running. I shed a few [very small] tears but am glad I broke it off- he was kind of flaky and showed definitely creeper potential.

So yesterday, I made brown rice burgers for lunch.

brown rice burger

I know what you’re thinking..

“That doesn’t look like brown rice burgers”

You’re exactly right. Recipe from my brain didn’t translate well to the real world.

I just ate salmon for dinner.

salmon

With a maple dijon sauce. It was good.. but not as good as the one I had in Orlando:

salmon

Everything is better in Orlando.

Anyway, the reason I just had salmon (no veg, no salad) was because I ruined my dinner with this:

moonie pie

My final Moonie Pie for Heather’s contest.

And THIS:

puff

A large quantity of peanut butter puffs. Sorry I killed your stash, pilot 😉 I really wish it were customary to eat cereal for every single meal. I’d be all over that 😀

After my really weird dinner, Ashley and I went to see Date Night. It was hilarious and definitely worth seeing in the theatre.

I came home, crashed out and was woken up by this one…

viesser

Getting sick… on the bed. Nothing like washing all the bedding at 3am. I guess I better get used to it if we want to have youngins one of these days 😉

Time for this girl to train a client and then I’ll be putting together all of the Show Me Your Smoothie submissions. If you’d like to add a fun smoothie recipe to the mix, please send it with a pic to fitnessista at gmail dot com.

See ya in the morning <3

I think its fabulous that you have decided to focus on the activities that make you happy 🙂 Sometimes random meals are the best (and exactly what you want). Sorry the puppers got sick. Frank has definitely done that to us before as well. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday

I would eat cereal all day every day if I could. Especially peanut butter puffins or something of the sort.

  9. VeggieGirl on April 18, 2010 at 6:57 pm

Cereal is always daily over here 😀 I’m addicted to the One Lucky Duck raw buckwheat crispies cereal.

I used to have cereal for dinner all the time in college when nothing from the dining hall looked appealing. No shame in breaking into that once in a while. 😉

    • Fitnessista on April 18, 2010 at 7:04 pm

for real- in college i ate cereal ALL the time. and it was amazing

Your moon pie looks yummy!! I used to love eating cereal for every meal…man I miss those days, haha.

I have not run in so long either…I have been enjoying more weigh lifing and yoga! oh and regards to Shiva Rea new dvd you reviewed…I have to agree that Lori and I found it to be a bit much. At first I loved it, but then it was just hard for me to stick to it. A little beyond me I guess, but something fun when I need something different I guess.

Hope you are doing well!! xoxo and we have to get together soon!! miss u

Mmmm…I’ve never had this peanut butter cereal. I need to invest in some of that!

And I’m sorry Viesa got sick. I hate it when my chihuahua gets sick!

  18. Lauren @ eater not a runner on April 18, 2010 at 9:19 pm

  19. jen trinque on April 18, 2010 at 9:32 pm

I love it when you eat tons of salad beasts and I love it when you eat moon pies and peanut butter cereal! A good example of eating in the real world 🙂 I hope your puppy dog is feeling better, too.

  23. Molly on April 18, 2010 at 11:16 pm

good for you for sticking with the activities you enjoy! running is definitely my “thing” and has been since kindergarten (it’s so weird to say that but true! kindergarten was my first track meet!) but I’ve always said that everyone has an activity that they love- it doesn’t have to be running!

And cereal is aaaamazing! Love it!

  24. brittany on April 19, 2010 at 12:23 am

could one of these days mean SOON about having some YOUNGINS around?!? 😀

  25. Kilee on April 19, 2010 at 12:24 am

Yah! I’m so excited to see everyone’s smoothies! It sounds like you had a nice weekend. Your salmon looks delish. I really want you to try my two new raw macaroon recipes! I just posted them on my new blog. Have a great night!

  26. Anna on April 19, 2010 at 12:59 am

Ok, seriously, I have been DOWNING those peanutbutter puffs like crack lately. I’m glad to see someone else is as addicted to cereal as me, although I have been trying to limit my panda puff-intake. It’s a love/hate relationship.

  27. The Pilot on April 19, 2010 at 1:37 am

My Puffs! Oh well, you deserve it for taking care of the little trouble maker last night. Love you!

  28. MizFit on April 19, 2010 at 6:28 am

I’m sure the brown rice ‘burger’ tasted good! And that salmon and moonie pie look AWESOME… drooool. I wish cereal for dinner were acceptable, too. I guess it is, but I think the food blogging community might think I was weird. Or maybe I’d start a trend 😉

start a trend please- i’ll be right there with you!

  30. Christina on April 19, 2010 at 9:03 am

I love cereal – Especially those puffs! I don’t think it’s weird to have for dinner but the combo of salmon and cereal does sound a little weird!
