Nothing Can Keep Me Away

From the Indian food buffet 😉

indian

Heh heh.

The pilot got home last night and I think he could tell from looking at me that I needed to get out of the house. I was pale, in the same jammies I had slept in the night before (nice, right? haha), watching House Bunny for the second time, and clutching a box of tissues. I had been sick and cooped up all day!

He was so sweet and took me on a little field trip- I even braided my hair and put on a different outfit 🙂

We went to Bizzle:

bizzle

(grande Refresh tea)

and to get Indian for dinner.

I pointed out what I wanted and the pilot scooped it into the To-Go container… I didn’t want to get the serving spoons all germy.

indian

+ a giant piece of roti (the puppers got the other half)

roti

Perfection 😀

I watched SYTYCD while the pilot did work stuff, then we called it a night 🙂

This morning’s bfast was the usual bfast cookie dough cereal.

cookie dough

I’m obsessed 😀

The plan for the day:

-GTL = Groceries, TurboFire (if I feel up to it), Laundry

-Training appointments (if I don’t have to cancel them again—I really don’t want to get anyone sick)

-Blog post on how to clean-up a recipe (I’ve gotten requests for Mexican recipes and carrot cake—anything else you’d like to see?)

Have a wonderful day!

G

Today’s tip: Shipping is FREE at OpenSky today! If you’ve been looking to get some Sun Warrior, Glass straws, Garlic Gold or other goodies- today’s your lucky day 🙂

Something to do: Please take a second out of your busy day to *vote here* for Modest Needs Foundation (my friend Brittney works for them)—they are participating in a Pepsi grant contest for $250,000. If they win, the funds will be used to help victims of the Gulf oil spill who have lost their jobs. <3

Hope you feel better soon ma dear! 🙂 When I have a cold I almost ALWAYS lose my sense of taste. What a shame it would have been if that happened just before your Indian food feast!!!

Aw, being sick is no fun! But the pilot is so sweet to take care of you. 🙂 I just imagined you braiding your hair in pigtails like a little girl! (that’s what I used to do, anyway!)

    • Fitnessista on August 5, 2010 at 10:12 am

it was a side braid, but close 🙂

  7. Jenna on August 5, 2010 at 10:11 am

Yayy! I hope you continue to feel better 🙂 I definitely have those days sometimes where you can just tell I’ve been cooped up in the house too long. Haha. I’ve also really wanted to try indian food since I’ve been seeing it on your blog weekly, but there are no restaurants around me! I guess it’s time I whip up some recipes or buy some Amy’s indian food! Maybe you’ll see me next wednesday 😉 Also, could you try & do a “clean up” on a cinnamon roll recipe? I think that’d be really cool! Try to make it vegan if you can, or make vegan substitutions. Thanks! 🙂

What a good hubby! I have a giant craving for Indian lately…all because of you! I guess I will have to give in soon ;).

What about a clean up post about sandwiches? And even salads could be good! Or eating out. You always seem to know exactly what to order to eat healthy when eating out and I wish I did!

  30. Liz @ Tip Top Shape on August 5, 2010 at 1:16 pm

Wasn’t SYTYCD amazing last night??? I thought Kent and Neil’s contemporary was amazing. Everyone has had a friend that soured and the emotions throughout were perfect. Travis has definitely become my favorite choreographer. Well..after Nap and Tabs 😀

Hope you’re feeling better!! I’m sure the Indian helped 🙂

So for the breakfast cookie dough cereal, you just add milk and sliced banana to the already made cookie?

    • Fitnessista on August 6, 2010 at 9:39 am

yes but when i make the cookie, i don’t use the smashed banana. just oats, protein and almond butter, then add lots of milk and sliced banana
