Oh, Fries Glow

Hi guys 😀 How’s your Monday treating ya? Hope it’s been bueno <3

Thanks SO much for all of the moving tips!

Here’s a round-up of what most of you said:

DONATE and trash stuff that you don’t use anymore (check)

-Hit up liquor stores for boxes – genius idea; we’ve also hit up Wal-Mart at 11pm because it’s when they re-stock and leave boxes in the aisles for whomever wants them

Label everything!

Whatever can go in a box, put into a box

-Put the things you’ll need right away in an accessible and well-labeled place

We haven’t officially started packing yet –still organizing- but I know these tips will definitely come in handy 🙂

Since bfast was super filling today, I wanted something light and fresh for lunch.

Enter THESE beauties:

raw wraps

Savory lettuce wraps!

Chopped organic mushrooms, carrots and onion, dressed with Nama shoyu, olive oil, nutritional yeast, savory, and garlic gold; Served on some romaine leaves that had been topped with sauerkraut

This is what some raw restaurants would call “a burger.” And I would laugh.

I’d still eat it, though, because the flavors were amazing 😉

burger

As face-rocking as the lettuce wraps were, the star of the show was THESE:

fries (2)

Angela’s Nut Butter Crusted Parsnip fries.

Why am I so late to get on the nut butter fry boat?! Why, why, whyyyyy??

I could have spent this entire time drowning in nut butter fry delight 🙂

If you haven’t made these yet, I highly recommend it…..

fries

So. Insanely. Good.

I spent most of this morning getting my clothes to sell pile together and hit up the consignment store, which was closed, went to Targizzle and trained clients. After a 45 minute treadmill sesh, I’m about to take a shower, drink this smoothie:

smoothie

(1 C almond milk, 1 C blueberries, 1 t spirulina, 1 scoop chocolate Vega, 1 banana, ice + a lil water)

and head back to work.

See ya in the morning with a bfast cookie dough cereal how-to  😀

xoxo,

Gina

Something to talk about: Have you tried a blog food phenomenon recently? What else am I missing out on? Haha 🙂 Have you experimented with a fun new-to-you ingredient lately?

Those fries look so good, though I’ve never tried ’em. Why oh why? I did try Someone’s flaxmeal-covered sweet potato fries, which were awesome. I wish I could remember where I saw them–maybe from Angela.

Oh my – just thought of one more tip – keep a roll of toilet paper handy and put it in your new bathroom right away! You’d hate to have to search for it when you have to go!

    Have a good Tuesday.

I haven’t heard of the nut butter fries, so I’m off to follow the link! Speaking of nut butter, I just tried Justin’s for the first time. The maple almond is fab!

I loved the nut butter fries when I tried them a while back. Overnight oats are one of my favorite blogging phenomenons. Have you tried those yet?

Those fries look amazing! I just linked to your post and the recipe in my own blog and printed a copy for myself. Sounds like a great Labor Day Weekend BBQ recipe to me!

As for moving tips, as an Air Force Brat, the best moving tip my family followed was keeping a carry-on bag with us that had easily-forgotten essentials – toilet paper, a roll of paper towels, an all-purpose cleanser (for countertops and bathrooms), and copies of important documents (transfer orders, inventory from the movers, etc.). Good luck with the move!

As usual, roomstar, we rock the same. page. I have a lettuce wrap recipe coming up — though I daresay yours may put it to shame!

I deff. have to try those fries! Look amazing 🙂
I just made kale chips in the dehydrator, just kale pieces with a raw sauce, and crumbled sunny seeds on top! Yum 🙂

ooo I LOVE the nut butter fries. When I first found those in the middle of the summer I enjoyed nut butter fries almost EVERYDAY for two weeks. I also Made butternut squash almond butter fries. And thinking about it now Sunflower butter would probably be quite good. I guess those two Sweet Potatos are calling my name, maybe even fries for breakfast;)
