On set

This afternoon, Sasha and I had the opportunity to get some photos taken by the amazing James Patrick. He’s well-known for his work in the fitness industry -he does a lot of fitness magazine and Bodybuilding shoots- and we asked him to help take pics for our YouTube channel.

The photos took a couple of hours, and afterwards, we filmed some new Zumba dances to share on our channel.

After we were finished, I came back home to eat everything in the world (photos went right through lunch time) and relax with nana and Liv. Nana brought over some hearts and flowers plants from my great-grandmother’s house, and we planted them in the backyard. Here’s hoping it flourishes and grows; it’s amazing to have a piece of nana’s history here at our own house. She’s always had a super green thumb -when she touches a plant, the flowers bloom and butterflies pop out- and with every plant I successfully keep alive, it helps me to feel a little bit more like her 😉

No workout plans on the agenda tonight, but since it’s technically my Sunday, I want to get some new stuff together for my classes this week. We start teaching Aqua Zumba and i”m pretty stoked about it.

Has anyone seen Great Gatsby yet?! I think my friend Ashley and I are going on Friday.

Love the outfits! I’m really looking forward to these videos. I never did try Zumba before (and was a little intimidated to), but your youtube workout (Pegate) had me trying it for the first time. And I LOVED it! I’m hoping to actually take a class, but youtube will do for the meantime. 😉

I can only wish for a green thumb like your great grandmother. I am already on my second planting of one pot, because the first planting died. So far they are still alive. My garden veggies are all living yet also.
Good luck with your new plantings.

I saw Great Gatsby last week and loved it! Leo is great, and Carey Mulligan was excellent. It’s a fun movie I hope you get to check it out!

I love your outfits and you look adorable!! I did not see the Great Gatsby yet, can not wait to!

  12. Sandra on May 22, 2013 at 8:34 am

I am super keen to see The Great Gatsby! The Aus premier is on tonight over in Sydney yet it’s not released here until next week 🙁 I’m sure I’ll survive the wait.
What do you guys snack on when you go to the movies? No matter how healthy I am trying to be I absolutely must, without fail get a large popcorn and coke although I have been able to go one or twice with a large popcorn and a water. The popcorn is not negotiable!

I’m amazed at how you do it all! Your day must have more than 24 hours 🙂 Your upbeat posts inspire & motivate me constantly – thank you!

Saying hello from half a world away (Germany),

I saw the Great Gatsby on mother’s day. I thought it was well done; just not a “feel good movie.” But, if you know what it’s about then you know that already.

Zach Sobiech is from here in MN. It was a big local story when the Clouds song came out and major tragedy when he passed Monday morning.

    Heres a local article – http://blog.thecurrent.org/2013/05/zach-sobiech/

I was gladly surprised its had such a big effect, that’s why i was glad to see it on your blog. Thanks for sharing!

thank you for sharing the article. watching his video.. i haven’t cried that hard in a long time, especially after hearing of all of the people that were killed in the oklahoma disaster. it made me happy to think that all of the kids that we so afraid up until the end.\, were with zach, and he could tell them not to be afraid anymore <3 he is a brave and beautiful soul -- a great reminder to LIVE and make the most of each day

Still completely in love with your map scarf!

  17. Jay on May 22, 2013 at 12:45 pm

    You guys look great!

  18. Andy on May 22, 2013 at 2:44 pm

Great outfits ladies! You both remind me of gypsy women. My heart goes out to Oklahoma. I can’t believe the lives of so many little ones were taken before their time. It’s so hard to not cry when reading about the disaster or watching the videos. Thanks for spreading your positivity. I really enjoy your blog, keep up the good work.

I saw the Great Gatsby last week. I am not sure if I really liked it. The whole mixture of modern music and 30ties..I know it should be artistic, but somehow I can’t stand plastic air mattress in the middle of the 30ties pool. Leonardo was also very strange when playing inseccure guy, but Carrey Mulligan rocked it as always!

I’m so excited that you’re teaming up with Sasha for this new channel! You guys are both such great dancers and your passion is infectious. Sasha is so freaking amazing…I remember being totally in awe of her whenever I got to take class with her at A Tucson Dance Company (before it became BreakOut)!! Definitely looking forward to seeing what else you ladies cook up. 🙂

  23. Nicole on May 23, 2013 at 9:23 am
