Run the crazy away

Hiiiii 😀 Happy Friday! How’s your day going?

Mine has been good so far. No one showed for my early as ballz YogaTone class- morning classes are rough, especially this time of the year (school winding down, sleeping in, vacations, etc). So I didn’t waste a trip, I had to stop at Ike’s for a latte on the way back 😉

Ike’s, I love you so much for having rice milk. For this reason, Ike’s > Starbucks.

I also grabbed a vanilla chai for the Pilot (and a cherry Danish) and picked them up so we could head to the dog park.

Bella has had a tough go at it lately.

photo (32)

First, her friend Tucker (my mom’s lab) ate her lamb and she chased him around trying to save it,

…..

then she was busted for eating a cookie on my brother’s bed. [Thank goodness it wasn’t chocolate chip!]

We figured she could use a trip to the dog park to get some of the crazies out 😉

photo (33)

She loved socializing with the other dogs (and their owners) and chasing the big dogs on the other side of the fence.

She’s crashed out on the tile, and I made a quick breakfast.

waffles

Gluten-free waffle with almond butter, jelly and cinnamon – x2 🙂

I’m off to get some errands done and start ninja-kicking the to-do list.. and later this afternoon, have to get a TB test for work. Dreading it :/

Enjoy your Friday and I’ll see ya this afternoon!

xoxo

Gina

I wish more places in NYC had non-soy milk options. So far I only know that Whole Foods does, but I don’t live near any. Starbucks needs to get on that!

    • Fitnessista on May 27, 2011 at 12:49 pm

right? if they had almond milk, i would go everyday

  2. Carrie (Moves 'N Munchies) on May 27, 2011 at 12:47 pm

    • Fitnessista on May 27, 2011 at 12:48 pm

      usually grilling is involved 🙂

  3. Katie @ Nourishing Flourishing on May 27, 2011 at 12:49 pm

LOVE when coffee shops actually have non-soy, non-dairy options 🙂

  4. Averie (LoveVeggiesandYoga) on May 27, 2011 at 12:50 pm

Oh that poor little lamb-ey. Awww! But hopefully Bella’s weekend brightens up. If I was feeling bummed, I’d sneak a cookie in bed too 🙂

I love most any kind of coffee over Starbucks. I just did a big coffee post earlier today. I love coffee, ice, hot, coffee reviews, you name it, I am Coffee Girl. Jitters and all…haha!

Sorry no one came to your class..that’s disappointing to wake up, get psyched up to teach and have the crickets. Hopefully soon everyone will be pouring in!

  6. MMiller on May 27, 2011 at 12:54 pm

Bella just needs some extra attention! First you started working more, then the pilot came home and took more of “her” attention! And you will be moving again! She will settle down when there is a new normal in her life!

    • Fitnessista on May 27, 2011 at 12:57 pm

that’s very true… everything is so weird right now, i don’t blame her for trying to eat a cookie

      • Leanne (Bride to Mrs.) on May 27, 2011 at 1:19 pm

        ” i don’t blame her for trying to eat a cookie ”

Hahahaha, this made me laugh 🙂

  7. Kelly on May 27, 2011 at 12:56 pm

Poor Bella!! Her toy lamb looks so sad…
Memorial Day plans are to go to the Mariners’ baseball game! And it’s the week before Finals.. so studying. And a seven mile run to keep on track for my half marathon.
Another video?? Yes please. You two are hilarious and an inspiration! Have a great Friday!

  8. Holly @ The Runny Egg on May 27, 2011 at 12:57 pm

I can’t wait for your next video! The last one was great.

Poor Bella — her lamb has no face!

Plans for the weekend – 20 mile run tomorrow (!!!), then my dad is coming over to help us plant some veggies!

    • Fitnessista on May 27, 2011 at 12:57 pm

20 miles?! you are a machine

  9. Allison @ Food For Healing on May 27, 2011 at 1:02 pm

i’m in canada so its not a long weekend here, we had our holiday this past monday.
This weekends plans are a wedding tomorrow, of a friend from high school, and probably just hanging out, getting to the gym and maybe throw some stuff in the dehydrator.

  10. Jaci on May 27, 2011 at 1:13 pm

Hey Gina! I noticed in the Pilot’s post that your waffles are from TJ’s. I’m obsessed with those and eat them evvvvery morning. BUT I feel like they get hard very quickly after they are done toasting and I can’t consume them before this happens! Have you had this problem?!

  11. Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat on May 27, 2011 at 1:14 pm

Unfortunately our long weekend here in Canada was last weekend, so it’s just a regular one, but I am looking forward to it! I’m going to be heading to a BBQ with some of my university friends that I haven’t seen for about 6 months so I’m pumped! Have a great afternoon Gina, and I can’t wait to see your video!

  12. Chloe (South Beach Girl) on May 27, 2011 at 1:16 pm

My Friday is also going well – I found a free parking spot even though I got to work a little late and am ready to start my weekend as soon as my work is done! I’m so pumped I get 3 days off 🙂

  13. Leanne (Bride to Mrs.) on May 27, 2011 at 1:18 pm

    • Fitnessista on May 27, 2011 at 7:52 pm

  14. Mara @ What's For Dinner? on May 27, 2011 at 1:24 pm

We’ve got to get our dogs to a dog park, or at least a fenced-in yard…they’re driving us crazy!!
Weekend plans? Mi madre and a few other people are coming over for a BBQ 🙂 Wish you could come too!

    • Fitnessista on May 27, 2011 at 7:52 pm

  15. Namaste Gurl on May 27, 2011 at 1:30 pm

  16. Sonia (the Mexigarian) on May 27, 2011 at 1:33 pm

Hahahha! Bella’s toy looks a lot like my cats recent attack on their favorite mouse. Memorial Day plans include celebrating my gf’s MA graduation, taking my road bike out for a spin for the first time ever!! Scary, and finishing my novel before the 1st or I owe a bottle of Dom Perginon to another gf. The second big plan is to drive 3 hours to visit husbands grandparents and. . .see some puppies!! I am hoping Hubby will find the puppy he is searching for -crosses fingers-

    • Fitnessista on May 27, 2011 at 7:51 pm

wow way to go on the novel!

  17. Lyndi on May 27, 2011 at 1:37 pm

Goodness, your dog is too cute! I am going to stick to my 2miles right now. 20 I see sometime in the far off future.

  18. fittingbackin on May 27, 2011 at 1:41 pm

LOL poor lamb! Cool about rice milk – I wonder how long until starbucks offers it?!

We’re off to the lake – woo!

  19. Lindsay on May 27, 2011 at 1:56 pm

Good luck with the tb test! I had to get a 2 step for my job and they gave it in the wrong spot of my arm at my dr’s office… When I came back, it was still bruised/hurting and they were like hmm this is questionable and made me to to the tb clinic!!! The people at the clinic looked at my arm, were laughing hysterically, said I was fine and gave me the 2nd one 🙂 Since I’ve started going to acupuncture, I’ve noticed that I barely feel shots at all anymore… so maybe that will happen to you too!

  20. Jessica @Fruit and Veggie Tales on May 27, 2011 at 1:59 pm

🙂 My daughter eats gluten free waffles the same way! She loves them! Except she calls jelly…..jolly! Cute! Have a great holiday weekend with your Pilot! I am hoping the husband and I will get to go on a date and see the 4th Pirates movie this weekend and we may try to go to the zoo with the kids on Monday!

  21. Jackie on May 27, 2011 at 2:06 pm

I promise you the TB test isn’t nearly as bad as it seems!! I know needles aren’t awesome, but this one is tiny (so much smaller than those used to take blood)…and its quick. And it doesn’t hurt once the quick test is done!! I get them done yearly due to my job, and trust me, i’d much rather that than have my blood taken. 🙂

  22. Julie (A Case of the Runs) on May 27, 2011 at 2:29 pm

I hate paying 60 cents for soy milk! =(

  23. kristi (sweet cheeks) on May 27, 2011 at 3:26 pm

I’ve gotten a TB test before and was freaked out. It was all in my head though. really its not bad. 😀

  24. kelly marie christiansen on May 27, 2011 at 4:53 pm

I <3 the dog park with my pup!

  25. Katie~ Run For The Bikini on May 27, 2011 at 4:56 pm

Lol I always run my crazies away 😀

I start lifeguarding at the beach this weekend, I can’t wait to see all my co-workers I haven’t seen since August/ September. And there are a few afterwork BBQs involved 🙂

  26. Moni'sMeals on May 27, 2011 at 5:01 pm

Gina, Bella is just so cute, everytime I see a picture, awww I love her– It has got to be the bows! I want to do that to my English Bulldogs, but it may be too much, what do you think!?

The post from the Pilot=melt my heart now!

Happy Weekend, sorry no one made it to your class. Oh well, soon enough. 🙂

    • Fitnessista on May 27, 2011 at 7:49 pm

i totally think she could rock it

  27. Emma on May 27, 2011 at 5:02 pm

I am a CNA and have to get TB tests and was soo freaked out. My doctors office was super cool and had me in and out and it didnt hurt at all. Maybe a little weird cause they put the fluid RIGHT under the skin so i could see it bubble up and was a little creeped out.

  28. Chelsa on May 27, 2011 at 6:02 pm

    Bella is such a cutie

  29. jen on May 27, 2011 at 6:42 pm

savaya coffee market next to pita jungle has almond milk for no extra charge; $4 even for a chai. i like their regular chai but they have ginger chai too 🙂

    • Fitnessista on May 27, 2011 at 7:48 pm

wahoo!!! that’s closer to me, so i’m very excited. thanks for letting me know!

  30. Lisa on May 27, 2011 at 6:51 pm

The TB test is quick. Nothing like drawing blood. I love coffee as much as Averie too!

  31. Kathy on May 27, 2011 at 7:35 pm

Question idea for video: What reno / home improvement projects top your list after you guys move in and “can do anything you want”? (After moving and setting up of course – setting up doesn’t count. I mean what gets painted, replaced, updated, gutted, built? etc)

I had a great time dreaming up this list when I moved in to my place – and I have even done some of them already!

  32. Chelsea @ One Healthy Munchkin on May 27, 2011 at 9:04 pm

That’s such a bummer that you got up early for nothing! I guess people just don’t know how awesome your classes are yet. 😉

  33. Danielle (Shrinking and Studying) on May 27, 2011 at 11:01 pm

Haha Bella’s poor lamb! I can just picture her chasing a big dog around the yard trying to save it!

I’m Canadian so we don’t have memorial day but we had Victoria Day last weekend and I drove home to visit my family!

For your video: I know you guys have a TON of stuff in the POD, but what are you two most excited to purchase for your new house??
