Special Dessert Visitor

Hi friends! How are you? Hope you had a very happy Sunday 🙂

vies

We’re spent the day catching up with the fam and just got back from dinner at my dadoo’s house– it was a gorgeous day in Tucson.

We dined al fresco on the patio:

and it was glorious.

My stepmom (who always makes incredible meals) apologized for the lack of “Gina food”, but I was absolutely happy with salad, broccoli, mashed potatoes.

Everyone else dined on chicken-fried steak, gravy, the same things I enjoyed (mashed potatoes, salad, broccoli), corn, green beans + fluffy biscuits

Abby wished and hoped for someone to drop something…

After dinner, we went down to Frost for a gelato fix.

As amazing as my small Tiramisu gelato was,

the best part was seeing THIS little lady:

VIESA!

[After a 2 week bang complex, front bangs have been brought back]

Ashley was so sweet to bring Vies to hang out with us at Frost, since they’re in town this week. We loved chatting with Ash and seeing Viesa’s furry face 🙂 Also, holler to Mindy who came over to say hi while we were feasting! <3

I’m going to call it a night since I have to teach early tomorrow, but I’ll see ya in the morning with that post on plateaus 🙂

Have a fabulous night <3

xoxo

Gina

Awe! yay for Viesa – she always looks so excited to see you in the pics 🙂 Tiramisu gelato? Yum! That sounds amazing! Glad you are enjoying your time with the Pilot and can’t wait to read your post on plateaus. I’ve been stuck on one for about two months now and it kills me! I’m definitely not willing to eat less (no thanks) and I already work out enough – so some kind of change is needed. Different workouts perhaps? We’ll see. I’ve already lost 110 pounds – I would like to lose a bit more, but maybe my body is just happy where it is. I’m okay with that, too. 🙂 Have a good night

So cute!!! I bet she was excited to see you!! The weather there looks so nice. I’m missing living in the SW now. I’m flying back to Spokane as I speak, and it is supposed to rain and be cold all week! Enjoy the warm weather. 😉

How fun to have the husband back 🙂 Is Frost amazing??? I am so excited because we are getting one by me (I live in Chandler, AZ). Ice cream is my favorite dessert ever!!!

Glad you had some quality time with Viesa!

The front bangs are lookin’ awesome!

And so are the al fresco shots…love outdoor dining and so glad you were able to enjoy (before it gets too hot!) for the season.

Happy for you and Pilot to be reunited most of all 🙂

Sleep tight for your early morning!

Awww, I think I just teared up. Family reunion!!!

PS I have weekly bang complexes (which sounds really, REALLY bad)

How fitting that Viesa AND the pilot returned to Tucson at the same time. You know, I’ve never really had a strong desire to visit Arizona, but you’re pictures are sorta making me change my mind! I might have to pencil in a little trippy-poo to the southwest sometime soon. 🙂

You rock the front bangs! Oh to have thick hair…

Ahh so jealous of your al fresco eating…. Can’t wait until the weather lends itself to that type of dining here. Especially since we just bought a little bistro set!

awwww best dessert visitor ever! she is so sweet!

I just brought my bangs back, I had them cut bad the last time, so they were not looking great, but now my bff cut them right and got my keratin, so woot woot!

I always think I want bangs until I actually get them. Then I always haaate them!!! Glad you figured it out for yourself. 🙂

People always apologize when they don’t have special food for me, but I really don’t care! I’m just fine eating a salad, potatoes and some veggies!

Love seeing the doggies! I meant to send you this link to a doggie whose mom taught her to bark at increasingly quiet levels. She looks like your little troublemaker: http://healthypets.mercola.com/sites/healthypets/archive/2011/04/20/woman-tells-dog-to-bark-more-softly.aspx

awww, Vies looks so happy! I LOOOOOOOVE Frost – one of my fave places if I’m in the mood for froyo/ice cream/gelato….i ALWAYS want to pick gelato. Unfortunately (fortunately?) its sooooo far from where I live so I rarely go.

    Hi Gina!
It was great meeting you in person last night at Frost. I have been reading your blog for about 2 years now and I absolutely love it! I think you have great wisdom to share with others, and I love the fact that you aren’t afraid to tell the world about your life. Keep up the good work. Oh, and congratulations on finally being able to live in Tucson with your hubby and family. I think it’s great!

The idea that a “plateau” isn’t failure but just your body saying its happy–that is so cool. I’ve never thought of it that way before. Thanks for the added perspective!:)

I love dining out on the patio. I can’t wait until the weather is nice enough here to do that!
