Stitch Fix Wins for Winter

Hi friends! Happy humpday! Hope you’ve had a wonderful day. I had an acupuncture appointment, and then we’ve just been getting things ready for the fam’s arrival.

I’ve had some requests for a Stitch Fix review, and it’s funny that I haven’t posted one in so long, because my latest fixes have all been home runs. I’d been feeling a frumptastic for a little while, as I transitioned from maternity clothes back to my normal size. I had donated/sold a ton of clothes in my capsule wardrobe pursuit and recent closet purge, so I wasn’t left with a ton of options that I loved and that also fit me. Stitch Fix saves the day.

Stich Fix Wins

My stylist, Alexandra, has been so thoughtful to send realistic clothes for my lifestyle. For example, a cute button-down makes a lot more sense than a sparkly clubbin’ shirt right about now and that make me feel put-together, even when I’m scrambling to get ready. Trying to get the girls fed, the three of us dressed and out the door to get Liv to school is pretty hilarious. Thankfully, it’s pretty easy to just throw on a pair of jeans, a cute shirt, and throw my hair into a messy bun.

I was thinking about photo logistics for this post because my camera bag was stolen from the car, along with my batteries and chargers. (Thankfully the thieves did not get the actual camera. But, they did get my favorite North Face jacket and some gifts for the girls.) Then I was like, OH YEAH! I HAVE A SELFIE STICK.

Stitch Fix Selfie

The only thing that makes me feel better about actually owning a selfie stick -it was free from Beachbody haha- is that I have no clue how to use it without looking like I’m holding a selfie stick. That makes it better, right?

So behold, iTune self-timer photos. 🙂

Here are some of the Stitch Fix wins that have become the uniform:

Kut from the Kloth Odilia Dress

Shirt dress Stitch Fix Win

(similar shoes here and here)

I have a mild shirtdress obsession. They’re classic and chic; perfect for running around with the kiddos and nice enough to wear out to dinner.

Hem & Thread Cody Graphic Print Cardigan

Cozy cardigan Stitch Fix Win

This sweater is SO warm and cozy! The neutral print matches everything, and it’s easy to throw on and go. Best part: the hoodie.

Cozy cardigan hoodie Stitch Fix Win

bella dahl plaid blouse (similar here)

Plaid blouse Stitch Fix win

(with boyfriend jeans, and sneaks from MYHABIT)

This is my new favorite shirt. I wear it at least once a week haha.

Gojana fringe necklace

Fringe necklace Stitch Fix win

Ok, so not the most functional for everyday life (“Come here child, but make sure I don’t spear you with my necklace”), but I love interesting pieces for date nights or events.

So there ya have it. Any one else get an awesome Stitch Fix shipment lately? What’s your current uniform?

xoxo

Gina

I’m sorry to hear your car was broken into! I’m glad they didn’t get the actual camera but that sucks! 🙁

I wish there was something like Stitch Fix in Canada!

    • Fitnessista on January 20, 2016 at 9:53 pm

yeah it was on xmas eve, too! it was a bummer, but everything can be replaced :/

  3. Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine on January 20, 2016 at 4:54 pm

    • Fitnessista on January 20, 2016 at 9:53 pm

Ha! I got a selfie stick free at a blogger conference and I cannot imagine where I would ever use it. I mean it would be kind of obnoxious whipping it out in public & posing (although it might be very funny). I live in shirt dresses all summer. I love that one!

    • Fitnessista on January 20, 2016 at 9:53 pm

i would feel silly if i ever toted it around with me haha
also, tom would probably pretend he didn’t know me

    • Fitnessista on January 20, 2016 at 9:52 pm

  6. Jenn @ Tri Stuff I Like on January 20, 2016 at 5:40 pm

I love the dress and the cardigan! One of these days I’m going to break down and use Stitch Fix – I’m horrible at dressing myself!

    • Fitnessista on January 20, 2016 at 9:51 pm

it’s a fun way to switch it up! i always get something i wouldn’t pick on my own

  7. Jess on January 20, 2016 at 5:46 pm

Do you get petites? I only get petites from StitchFix and I find the options are so limited…these choices are fantastic!

    • Fitnessista on January 20, 2016 at 9:51 pm

i don’t! my stylist is awesome at picking pieces that will fix well, even though i’m short and have a shorter torso

      • LJ on January 21, 2016 at 6:51 am

You definitely don’t look short! I look at your photos and think how slim and well proportioned you look.

        • Fitnessista on January 21, 2016 at 10:30 am

          oh, thank you friend <3

  9. Bethany on January 20, 2016 at 8:38 pm

I decided to splurge on one Stitch Fix in my 2nd trimester and it was great! The best I’ve even gotten. So many cute tops that fit and not one piece of maternity clothing.

    • Fitnessista on January 20, 2016 at 9:50 pm

that is so awesome!! i got a couple of non-maternity pieces while i was preg that were PERFECT. they know what’s up

  10. ellen on January 21, 2016 at 2:24 am

I love your style! I wonder if they ship in the UK! I loved all the clothes!

  11. Julia@yogawinehappiness.com on January 21, 2016 at 4:48 am

Everything is so cute! I took a break from Stitch Fix while pregnant because I was lucky to get so many hand me down maternity clothes. I can’t wait to start it up again in the spring when I can fit into regular clothes again!!!

  12. Amanda on January 21, 2016 at 6:14 am

Success club prizes are so weird sometimes, lol. I also have no idea how to use my selfie stick.

    • Fitnessista on January 21, 2016 at 10:31 am

right!! and i’m not sure it’s something i want to be great at haha

  13. LJ on January 21, 2016 at 6:49 am

We don’t have stitch fix in my neck of woods. I guess I am lucky, because I don’t think I could afford all the clothes. 🙂 My current uniform is a bulky wool sweater and jeans. I have two of them and I wear them on alternate days (to fool myself into thinking the other people at my office wouldn’t notice I only have two warm sweaters).

I do have more sweaters than two but those are the warmest ones. The outdoor temperature barely makes it above zero (F) and the heating in my office has a hard time keeping up. I hate feeling cold when I have to sit still for hours.

These are all super cute! Like the rest of the world I’m loving flannel lately! Super comfortable and you can dress the tops up or down which I love.

  15. Julie on January 21, 2016 at 8:59 am

Love everything, but love love love those black flats!!!

  16. Jill on January 21, 2016 at 9:56 am

I have a different stylist from StichFix every time. Do you have the same one all the time?

    • Fitnessista on January 21, 2016 at 10:13 am

yes! if you find that one person really gets you, i’d request them each time!

  17. Julya Reynolds on January 21, 2016 at 6:13 pm

I love Stitch Fix!! I recently requested and recieved some amazing cardigans for easy breastfeeding, although I can’t remember the names. One has elbow patches and is my favorite right now. I love the cardigan you shared and will most definitely be asking for it in my next fix. Thanks for sharing some of your faves!!

  18. Jenny on January 22, 2016 at 7:14 pm

I love the flats! They remind me of Irish dance soft shoes. In fact I should wear my soft shoes out in public since they’re fashionable now. 😉

    • Fitnessista on January 22, 2016 at 9:59 pm

haha i asked my mom if i could have my soft shoes out of storage! sadly, they are long gone

  19. Yvonne Lawson on January 25, 2016 at 6:28 am

    WOW! All good.

  20. Cassie T on January 27, 2016 at 6:02 am

Love it! I got a similar flannel in my last fix and it’s so soft!
