“Want a sandwich?”

It’s definitely cave mode over here.

I walked outside this morning to let Bell do her thing, and the fresh air felt so nice. It kind of reminds me of when I’d be home sick from school and then on the day I went back, the sun would seem so bright. Maybe we’ll take a walk today 😉

Even though we’ve spent lots of time in the house over the past few days, I couldn’t be happier to spend it with my two favorite people.

baby and dad

We’ve become nocturnal, and I’ve been posting more fitness content lately instead of the usual “here’s what we’re up to” mix since we’re still getting the hang of things. All of the pictures I’ve taken have been of this beautiful tiny thing-

her fingers and toes

toes

and my most intense workout involves shaking a rattle and making silly faces.

 the girls

She was not impressed.

Meals have been super simple- at least once during the day, one of us will say “want a sandwich?” and make a giant sandwich for each of us,

eggs and things

eggs and oats

and meals brought over from the fam, like this salad from Zinburger

salad

(chicken, greens,

and their truffle fries…

fries

Someone just woke up and wants to eat/snuggle, so I’m off but I’ll be back with a Family post later tonight <3

xoxo

Gina

  4. mary on January 12, 2012 at 9:44 pm

Cute! You’re probably not going to feel like blogging (or doing much of anything besides baby care) for a while, and when you do feel like blogging it’ll probably be mostly about the baby that you want to talk about. Which is fine with me!

Aww she’s so beautiful! This post is making my ovaries start to fire up. I need to tell them to calm down and hibernate for a bit longer… I’m only 22! 😛

You are amazing to be blogging so diligently with a baby under a week old! Those days are such a blur to me, but also the best days of my life!!!

Girl, keep taking it easy! Spend at least two weeks doing as little as possible besides eating, resting, and feeding/loving the little one: You deserve it!

  11. Kath on January 12, 2012 at 10:55 pm

I’m so thrilled for you, she’s a beauty. And the video is great haha.

She is such a pretty newborn! It was worth her not coming early, they often look like little old men but your girl is just gorgeous. Hope you’re enjoying the first few days and getting a few hours sleep!

Such a cute little baby! I love the Pilot and Olivia picture, so adorable to see a grown man hold a tiny baby.
I can see how you would get teary-eyed when you see him with her. I imagine my husband doing the same someday, cannot wait 🙂
