What I wore: 7/17

tucson 001

Dress: J Crew

Sandals: Banana Republic

Cuff bracelet + necklace: Express

Why I like it: this dress was on super sale at J Crew –after the extra 30% off, it was like $20- and I love the bubble hem that isn’t too obnoxious. Sometimes things can get a little too bubbly and I’m not a fan, but this one was perfect. I also like how I’ll be able to throw a long cardigan over it and wear with booties to take it into fall. Since summer is going to be quickly ending, I’m focusing on transition pieces that are more classic and easily adaptable to slightly cooler weather.

‘since summer is going to be ending quickly’ – noooooooooooo!!!!!! I feel like summer has barely started! :'(

Summer has barely started! Officially, we have another two months, so don’t rush it. Don’t forget, some of us live in climates with brutal winters, lol. Don’t make summer any shorter than it already is.

Love this dress and those yellow nails! I was wondering if you would consider posting some cute workout outfits? I mean, I don’t go to the gym for a fashion show, but I always like to look nice even if I’m getting sweaty! I just don’t want to be *that* girl in the gym, ya know?

P.S. You can’t even tell your pregnant in that picture– I thought it was a picture of you in the dress pre-pregnancy, ha 🙂

Doesn’t go too well with your body type, imo. It makes your shoulders look really broad and your hips non-existent. It’s not that flattering on the twins, either. Sorry to go against the flow of compliments. I typically really like your fashion sense, just.. this one didn’t do it for me.

    • Fitnessista on July 24, 2011 at 12:05 pm

i know what you mean. it’s definitely been a challenge for me to find clothes that look flattering right now.

I hear ya. 😀 It gets a lot easier when the tummy gets bigger, strange as that may be. Silly awkward in-between phase.

they look great with your skin tone & nail color.
