A rich and chocolatey treat, which is also dairy free.
Prep Time:60
Total Time:1 hour
Ingredients
Scale
10 oz of your favorite coffee
3 tablespoons drinking chocolate (or dark chocolate chips)
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch of sea salt
Splash of vanilla
1/2 cup milk of choice (I used almond)
6 ice cubes
Sweetener to taste (sugar and maple syrup work well)
Instructions
In a large glass, whisk the coffee, chocolate, cinnamon, sea salt, and vanilla. Set aside, and allow to cool to room temperature before storing in the fridge.
When the coffee mixture has cooled (an hour or so), stir well to combine the ingredients.
Pour the mixture into a high-speed blender, along with the milk and sweetener. Blend until frothy. Taste and add sweetener as necessary -I used 1 tablespoon of sugar for the Pilot and it was perfect- and serve immediately.
Notes
Garnish with dairy-free whipped cream, chocolate shavings and cinnamon.
