Salmon Cakes

A healthy protein-packed meal or snack option, with a slightly sweet twist!


  • 2 6-oz cans of salmon (no skin or bones)
  • 6 oz cooked sweet potato flesh
  • 1/2 cup almond meal
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley


  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl
  2. Form into patties and place in the fridge for about 30 minutes to set
  3. Cook in a pan or on an electric griddle with a little butter, ghee or coconut oil
  4. Enjoy with your favorite veggies or atop a green salad
  5. Freeze any leftovers for a quick and delicious meal later in the week!
