I have just one criticism but this is a matter of opinion so not really. Whenever I click on a blog to check out, I like when it opens in a new window. That way when I want to return to the wonderful Fitnessista blog, I don’t have to click back a bazillion times.
There are codes that you can use when building in links that will open the link in a new window automatically. That way your readers will just have to click the link, see what it is, and when they close they are still at your blog cause they never left. The program I use gives the option to “open link in a new window” when building a page, but for raw html you can input the coding yourself.
You can find lots of free sites that provide such code if you just Google it. i.e. how to open links in a new window…
This feature is good for your readers cause it eliminates the annoyance of hitting the back button and its good for you cause your traffic doesn’t leave your site. =)
Someone may have said this before, but you should link all of these friends so that their blogs open in a new window. I want to see everyone you follow but want to get back to your site right away without clicking back a bunch of times. Make sense? Super easy to do just have to do it in “HTML” mode of wordpress, you just add this: target =”_blank” to the end of a link. See below. :o)
Hello, Hello!
Gina, I love your blog- long time reader, first time commenter 🙂 – thank you for getting info about good food and fitness out there.
A while back, I was checking out your blogroll list of friends and came across blog called ‘the petite athlete’. Not to sound like a stalker, but the blog just disappeared one day and I can’t find it. Any ideas where our virtual friend went? Just thought I’d ask!
Keep up the good work and congratulations!
Kristi
hey there Gina! Long, long time reader- and a few emails exchanged. I’ve got a new GLUTEN FREE blog and would be honored to be added to your blogroll and given a shoutout!
Gina, I am so glad that I found your blog. My wife and I have a blog of our own that tries to offer information and motivation through our own personal journeys from fat to fit. I plan to visit your site frequently, and would appreciate it if you visited our blog as well. I would love to hear any advice you have that would make it as accessible as your site is to your audience. Our blog is at http://tnthomefitness/blog/
Gina,
Thanks so much for the great list of bloggers! I am wondering if you have anyone in the Phoenix/Tuscon area specifically that you follow as a blogger?

Thank you so much for the awesome website, I have been trying to get myself motivated, I love to exercise, but it’s been the food that has been the problem…I think I have found my motivation, your site is amazing, and I love the summer shape up…starting on Monday.

Instead of this:
protein-a-cinno
It looks like this with the target =”_blank” added after the full link.
protein-a-cinno
HOPE that makes sense. Just a little tip from one social media geek to another. xoxox
SHOOT messed that up… haha
would look like this… I can email you. haha
“http://www.quillandcouture.com/2010/11/alt-control-delete.html”
“http://www.quillandcouture.com/2010/11/alt-control-delete.html” target =”_blank
Thanks so much for adding my blog, I feel totally honored!
