  2. Amy on November 6, 2009 at 11:00 am

I’ve never even tried POM but would probably just mix with sparkling water for some sparkle or maybe some sparkling wine?

    Thanks!

  7. Kelbut33 on November 6, 2009 at 11:04 am

I would share my case of POM with my friends and have a POM party! I would do virgin POMtinis and regular POMtinis. I would create recipes with the POM juice and share the entire event (photos, copy, recipes, etc.) with the folks at POM!

  8. Gannon on November 6, 2009 at 11:05 am

I’d use it to spice up some smoothies, and to add a little zing to mulled apple cider!

    Grilled Eggplant with Pomegranate Sauce

    Makes 6 servings.
    Ingredients

    1 large eggplant
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    3 cloves garlic
    1/2 cup pomegranate syrup
    Salt

    Garnish
    Minced parsley
    1/2 cup pomegranate seeds
    Preparation

Cut eggplant into 1/4 inch slices and place on paper towels. Sprinkle slices with salt, weight them down with heavy plates or a board for 30 minutes, then pat them dry with paper towels.

Lightly brush with olive oil and place eggplant slices on grill. Grill them for 3 minutes on each side, or until they are lightly browned on both sides. Remove from grill and arrange the eggplant overlapping on a serving dish.

In a mortar, crush garlic cloves with 2 teaspoons salt to a paste. In a non-metallic bowl, combine the garlic paste and pomegranate syrup. Spread a little of the mixture on each eggplant slice. Sprinkle the slices with minced parsley and pomegranate seeds for garnish and chill covered.

I found this on the internet and think it sounds great!

Either a pomtini or a mocktail with POM + seltzer and lime wedge would be great. I’d also like to try and use it to flavor pancake/waffle batter or mix into greek yogurt with some honey/pom seeds.

  13. Christina on November 6, 2009 at 11:14 am

I would totally use it in smoothies..I have before and it’s great! ๐Ÿ™‚ And yes..POMtinis sounds so awesome!

  14. Fallon on November 6, 2009 at 11:14 am

I would use up the pom juice in a Pom-tini ๐Ÿ˜‰ but during the holidays we make something at home called Candy Cane Punch and it calls for cranberry juice, to change things up a little I think the Pom juice would be wonderful in this punch. I’m drooling thinking about it!

  15. Lizzie on November 6, 2009 at 11:15 am

I made a POM quick break with POM seeds and juice the other day! I got the recipe from Carrotsncake. But I also love the seltzer/POM juice mix!

    YUMMY!!!!! Pomtini!

  24. Megan McKee on November 6, 2009 at 11:38 am

I love to juice them or put them into smoothies. My kids, however, love to eat them right out of a bowl with a spoon. They think they’re eating rubies, and they love the way they “pop” in their mouth! I love, love, love your website and have been following you for a while now. I found you right before you went to school at 105 degree academy and have been hooked ever since. Thanks for being an inspiration!

  25. Betty on November 6, 2009 at 11:38 am

I’ve honestly never tried POM but I would love to try it in a smoothie!! I’ve always wanted to try it and will soon.

  26. Sara on November 6, 2009 at 11:39 am

I LOVE your blog!! I use POM juice for a marinade with chicken. POM juice, olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, orange juice, and sliced chilis. Marinate and grill. Slice chicken for salads, slice super thin for fajitas or tacos. YUM!

Thank you for all of your recipes and pictures! Are you sure you can’t divulge the Raw Chocolate Tart recipe???? ๐Ÿ˜‰

  29. Brittney on November 6, 2009 at 11:44 am

  43. Becky on November 6, 2009 at 12:21 pm

I love to mix pom juice with unflavored seltzer or the lime flavored one for a mocktini. I would also love to try it pomtini style…I think I am out of vodka but have some rum in my liquor cabinet! ๐Ÿ˜‰ OR since it is getting cooler, maybe a little pom juice in my green tea sounds yummy!

  44. Y on November 6, 2009 at 12:25 pm

eee! I am obsessed with pomegranate and although I would gladly eat/drink it in any form, I like it straight up the most. I’d say half for that, and half for gin cocktails…

  45. Serena on November 6, 2009 at 12:29 pm

Hi Gina! I like pom juice by itself, but I’d love to experiment and put some in my homemade kombucha.

  46. Melissa on November 6, 2009 at 12:29 pm

I would love to try pomegranate waffles, like Caitlin from Healthy Tipping point made. I also plan to try making a vinegrette with Pom Wonderful some time.

  47. Megan on November 6, 2009 at 12:33 pm

I would love to try a POM smoothie, as well as some sort of POM vinaigrette… sounds perfect for the Holidays!

I have yet to try POM but I would love to try it in smooties and oatmeal. I would also try freezing it to make freeze pops for the lil one.
