I’m a teenager (17 yrs) and I have basically no experience with “out-there” foods like chia seeds, maca, even Ezekiel bread! This awesome blog has taught me a lot about raw and natural foods and I think the chia seeds look like such a cool thing to try in my daily diet. I would DEFINITELY soak ’em in water (they sound like edible ShamWows… hee!) and then put them in smoothies and oatmeal in the mornings so I don’t get as hungry during school. I’d love to try them!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. abergin on February 11, 2010 at 10:33 pm

I have never tried chia seeds, but the first thing I would try them in is oatmeal and smoothies. I would love to see the benefits of these minute (but powerful) seeds.

    Hi Gina!

Oh my gosh, I have been DYING for some chia seeds for SO long. But they are SO darn expensive – and my college student budget does not like the price!

Chia seeds would totally give my overnight oats an extra punch and as a vegan, it would improve my intake of omega 3s!

    Love,
    Heather
