Friday Faves 5/5
Helloooooo! Happy weekend to ya! What are you up to this weekend? Liv has a dance competition, the kids have an event at school, and itโs a friendโs First Holy Communion. Lots of fun and celebrating on the way! Itโs been pretty low-key around here this week because I broke my toe. It happened before I was supposed to film Fit Team tutorials – I filmed them out of pure adrenaline, I tell ya – and while itโs definitely on the ups, itโs put a bit of a damper on my activity. Itโs been propping it up and covering it in arnica a few times a day, which has helped tremendously with the bruising.
I also ordered another pair of Vivobarefoot sneakers. While theyโll likely take a while to be delivered (and hopefully my toe will be better) theyโve become my favorite shoes. They feel SO much better than the ones that smash my toes.
Iโd love to hear what youโre up to this weekend!
Itโs time for the weekly Friday Faves party. This is where I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love to hear about your faves, too, so please shout out something youโre loving in the comments section below.
Friday Faves 5.5
Random:
A new travel blanket.
Itโs pretty much impossible for me to sleep on planes, mostly from anxiety and also because I require a *real* blanket to sleep soundly. When we go to hotels that donโt have duvets, Iโll usually ask housekeeping for extra blankets, or will use a towel so that I feel weight on my body. (I know, what a weirdo.) I got this travel weighted blanket to use for a couple of upcoming red eye flights and will definitely report back! Iโm taking it to Phoenix for a little hotel test drive this weekend.
I love that you can roll it up and easily take it along with you.
Alcohol-free prosecco!
This was surprisingly amazing. (Ordered from Thrive Market and also am loving this brand of rosรฉ.)
Still loving the rose bushes!
A friend said that theyโre pretty hard to kill, even here in AZ, and theyโve already produced so many gorgeous flowers. We have Blue Girl, Let Freedom Ring, Barbara Streisand, and Pop Art. The girls are also into having fresh flowers in their rooms. <3
Motherโs Day Tea at Pโs school.
It was SO beautiful and adorable, and of course I was fighting the ugly cry the entire time. It was just so sweet. We had a lovely breakfast, did a craft with the kiddos, they shared special artwork with us, we had our pictures taken, and the kids sang, โM-A-M-Aโ (to the tune of YMCA) before giving us a flower. I canโt.
Liv transferred to this school halfway through second grade, two months before the world shut down, so it was my first time experiencing it.
It was also Maisey’s second birthday!
Two years with the sweetest, floppiest gal. She loves sardines, coconut water, long walks or hikes, howling, and being held like a baby. We took a walk, went shopping at Petco, sang, “Happy Birthday” (she howled along), and she had ice cream with peanut butter.

Gina
Hi Gina! Happy Friday! I love that you have beautiful hiking areas nearby — that’s definitely one thing I miss about living in Northern California, because we don’t have as many close in Charlotte. Also, I’ve been wanting to try an F45 workout for a long time and need to get to a studio one day soon. Thanks for sharing my meal ideas post, and have a wonderful weekend, friend! ๐ xoxo
I remember you posting the recipe for the eggless eggnog last year, but I think this year Iโm going to have to make it and bring it to a party! I happen to have some raw cashews in my pantry so no time like the present!
