Are you of Greek descent? Always happy to meet fellow Greeks ๐ Out of the menu choices in your picture I would go for Souvlaki or Pastitsio. Love both!
I grew up in the Greek Orthodox Church (although I’m Romanian) and lived in Greece for a semester and always love seeing anything Greek! Thanks for sharing the pictures! Looks like you had a good time ๐
Looks Delish! I think by looking at this i just got hungry again.I love Greek food! My husband is Greek, I went to Greece last summer for my first time. Nothing like baklava dripping in honey… Amazing;-)
I forgot about the Greek Festival! Thank YOU! I cannot wait. I have never been but live really close, and I need something to look forward to tomorrow ๐ :). That reminded me too; Meet Yourself is in less than a month! PS: i’m impressed with pilot getting around on crutches. i hurt my ankle too and am being a baby:)
Yum! I love Greek food! I’ve never been able to try baklava though because of my nut allergies… I need to make it my mission to make a nut-free version! ๐
Our Greek Festival is next weekend. I never miss it! I love the pastitsio and spanakopita but I really love the pastries. My favorite is the custard (can’t remember the Greek name).
I am a big big fan of your blog and I have been following you for a couple years now, although I rarely comment. Congratulations on your beautiful baby.
I have a question – would you consider doing a blog post on cleanses? I am planning a two week cleanse to celebrate my birthday and I would love to get your opinion on these kinds of diets. (my plan is no meat, no dairy, no alcohol, no cigarettes, no processed foods and LOTS of yoga :-))
thank you so much, laura!
i haven’t written too much about cleanses, but i do know that women’s health has a great one (i think it’s called women’s health detox?)
it avoids everything you mentioned and also includes some recipes
hope this helps a little! happy almost birthday and thank you for reading ๐
xoxo
