Spring smoothie date
A lil spring chat with my friends out there and sharing some exciting news.
Hiiiii! How are you? I hope that your day is going well and that you had a lovely weekend. Itโs been a while since weโve had a smoothie or coffee date around here, so Iโd love to catch up!
(in real life, it would be a fresh smoothie, not a bottled smoothie but let’s just go with it)
Letโs grab a smoothie, and catch up a little.
If we were having a smoothie dateโฆ.
Iโd want to know how youโre doing. Like, REALLY doing. How are the kids? How are you feeling? Are you stressed about May-cember and end of school stuff, or doing ok?
Iโd want to know if youโve taken any new workout classes, tried any new restaurants, and Iโd love hearing all the details about upcoming vacations and summer plans.
Iโd tell you that Iโm so relieved that we started homeschooling P. I was SO stressed about it and put a ton of pressure on myself, which is why I didnโt consider this possibility earlier, but sheโs a different kid. Sheโs thriving, weโre having so much fun together, and I honestly feel like itโs giving me a chance to enjoy her childhood a bit more. Since the girls were born, itโs been a wild ride, and as an anxious person myself, I was always focused on, โwhatโs nextโ and two steps ahead, instead of enjoying the present moment. The past couple of years, Iโve forced myself to be more present because theyโre growing up so, so quickly. I canโt even believe Liv will be in 8th grade next year!
Iโd tell you that Iโve been teaching barre at an amazing local studio and would invite you to take a class! While I donโt teach nearly as much as I used to – I canโt imagine teaching 15+ classes a week again – my 1-2 classes a week are perrrrrfect.
Iโd also share the exciting news with youโฆ weโre headed to Europe for 6 weeks, maybe longer. Weโre going to Italy, France, and Spain, and I.canโt.even.wait. Last year when we went to Spain, we toured a couple of gorgeous apartments. With the tax (21%!) we calculated that we could spend the same amount of money to spend almost the entire summer in Europe for the next 19 years, and have the flexibility to go wherever, instead of being in one spot. So, summer #1, letโs goooooo!!! Of course, Iโll share all of the adventures on Instagram stories and here on the blog. It feels like a huge treat and weโre all ready for it.
Iโd ask you if you like pickleball and if you wanted to play sometime. Iโm not good at pickleball, but I love it, and am always looking for chances to practice. The kids are into it, too!
Iโd ask you if youโd split a gluten-free treat with me, and plan our next catch-up date, since time flies by and at this point, you have to schedule things way in advance. ๐
So tell me, friends: how are you *really* doing? Any summer plans? Do you like pickleball or no? Letโs chat in the comments section.
xoxo

Can you please explain this? Tax savings? Tax on what? Sorry if I’m being ignorant!
Sorry I didnโt explain it better! Thereโs a 21% tax on houses if youโre not a resident. For a 500,000 apartment, thatโs 105,000 extra dollars on the cost of the house that goes towards the government. The Airbnb we stayed at least year was around 3-4K/month so we figured we could stay somewhere similar for about 6 weeks of summer for 19 years instead of paying 100k in taxes
I wondered what the cost explanation is too, what Tracy said above,
Thank you
That tax breakdown is wild! Donโt blame you for going this route.
So excited for you all for this adventure! Canโt wait to follow along!
