5.2 Friday Faves

Hi friends! Happy Friday! Whatโ€™s going on this weekend? Liv has a dance competition, so weโ€™re headed up to Phoenix, P has a basketball game, and weโ€™re meeting up with friends for gelato. I hope you have a fun and relaxing weekend ahead!

A highlight of the week: it was Maiseyโ€™s 4th birthday! ย We celebrated by grilling her a filet mignon – her first ever and she LOOOOVED it – with a night of swimming and fetch, and then a trip to Petco to replenish her tennis ball stash.

(Easter picture because she spent most of her actual birthday looking like a wet rat from playing in the pool)

I canโ€™t believe that weโ€™ve had this fluffy, lovey girl for 4 years now. She brings so much joy and love into every.single.day and weโ€™re so lucky sheโ€™s ours.

Itโ€™s time for the weekly Friday Faves party! This is where I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love to hear about your faves, too, so please shout out something youโ€™re loving in the comments section below.

5.2 Friday Faves

Fashion + beauty + random:

Wrapped up week 4 of homeschooling. We finishedย Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing (I wanted something light and fun to start) and it stood the test of time. We were cracking up at so many points during the book. Judy Blume helped me fall in love with reading for fun when I was young, and itโ€™s amazing that sheโ€™s doing the same for P.

This dress! I havenโ€™t really hopped on the butter yellow trend until now but the fabric is dreamy and itโ€™s lined, so not see-through at all. On sale here.

Celebrating my friend Anaโ€™s birthday! Her party was a Georgeโ€™s Wine Shop and we had appetizers, desserts, and drank wine and chatted with all of our friends. It was perfection.

(my dress is from RTR – you can use this link to try it free for one month. I love it for travel and events!)

Donโ€™t forget to check out this yearโ€™s Motherโ€™s Day gift guide here. SO much good stuff ๐Ÿ™‚

Read, watch, listen:

New Sabastian Yatra. SO pumped for his new album to come out in a couple of weeks!

Listening to this podcast episode right now. Itโ€™s WIIIIILD and while I donโ€™t agree with everything he says – or even most of it lol – Iโ€™m fascinated. I love hearing different perspectives on health and wellness.

Iโ€™m looking for some more ideas for non-WWII historical fiction. <โ€” these books ALWAYS suck me in with their captivating stories and beautiful writing, but trying to expand my horizons. Some previous books Iโ€™ve read and enjoyed: Mistress of Rome series,ย Yellow Wife, Lady Tanโ€™s Circle of Women, andย The Lotus Shoes, so if you have any ideas for books from different time periods and countries to explore, Iโ€™d love to hear them.

Fitness, health, and good eats:

Our weekly tortilla tradition has been going strong. This was *girl dinner* for me and the girls one night: tortilla, salad with homemade dressing, and strawberries. Deeelish.

Making these tacos asap.

Exciting news: Lumebox is 50% off right now through the 8th! This is one of my favorite things to use in my morning wellness stack โ€” I ย love it for sore muscles, mood, skin, and injuries. I had a mole removed from my chin, so Iโ€™ve been using the red light on it a few times each day. You can use this for so many different things, and Iโ€™m not sure when theyโ€™ll do a sale like this again. If youโ€™ve had your eye on one, Iโ€™d snag it up!

Do you have a house salad??

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today! Have an amazing weekend and Iโ€™ll see ya soon!

xoxo

Gina

If youโ€™re up for a heavy one- Where the Coyotes Howl. Itโ€™s set in the early 1900s on the plains of Wyoming. Definitely need some tissues!
