a virtually unlimited closet with Le Tote

This post is sponsored by LE TOTE and includes an amazing offer for reader friends. This link will get you 20% off your first month!

Hi friends! Iโ€™m really excited about todayโ€™s post because it features one of my shopping-from-home loves: LE TOTE

Le tote box 1 of 1

Hereโ€™s how it works:

-You create a style profile by answering some questions and clicking on outfits you love by clicking the heart. (I had way too much fun with this process.)

-A stylist will curate your tote based on your picks, and youโ€™ll receive 3 garments and 2 accessories in your tote.

-You can wear the items as often as youโ€™d like before sending back in the prepaid envelope, and when you do, youโ€™ll receive a new tote immediately. If thereโ€™s something you love so much you want to keep, you send everything else back and theyโ€™ll charge your card for any items you wanted to make your own. For the items you do keep, thereโ€™s a sweet discount- up to 80% off retail price.

-Itโ€™s only $49/month for a virtually unlimited closet, and they include high-end brands with excellent quality from some of my favorite stores like Saks, Nordstrom and Shopbop. It makes wearing expensive brands very affordable!

Why this is awesome:

-I LOVE trying trendier pieces, but have a habit of wearing the same thing a lot before getting sick of it. This way, I can try out a variety of pieces with no commitment and continuously have access to new-to-me items. I especially like trying out the different jewelry options since I rarely branch out with jewelry.

-You donโ€™t have the leave home (amazing when shopping time is limited with a little one, who recently discovered hiding in shopping racks), and they do the laundry for you! Cue the laundry angels.

-You can customize your boxes to get exactly what you want! A stylist picks out the items for you, but 24 hours before the box is shipped, you can go in and switch items you donโ€™t want or need that week.

-I just found out that they will be offering maternity in the fall. My bump will be a baby by that point, but awesome news if any of my friends out there recently found out you’re expecting.

Hereโ€™s what was in my first tote:

Black and white striped dress:

Strpe dress 1 of 1

Printed maxi:

Printed maxi 1 of 1

Star necklace (I get compliments on this every time I wear it)

Star necklace 1 of 1

and this silver clutch. I knew immediately when I opened the tote that Iโ€™d want to keep this one, as I have a similar white clutch I use all the time.

Clutch 1 of 1

They also sent this gorgeous red crop top, and I wasnโ€™t quite sure how I was going to wear it with the baby belly. Julie just posted a picture wearing a crop top with a maxi skirt over it, and it looked so cute with her pregnant belly. Totally copying (thanks friend).

Dogs and crop top 1 of 1

A special offer code for you: click here to get 20% off your first tote (the code FITNESSISTA will automatically be applied)!!

I love that silver clutch! Who makes it?

I’m going to have to check out Le Tote – I also tend to wear clothes a bunch at first and then archive them in my closet.

Are the clothes that you get in your tote ones that were already worn by other people and sent back?

    • Fitnessista on July 22, 2015 at 2:02 pm

i think so? i didn’t even think about that because they look and smell brand new!

I have been using Le Tote for several months and looooooove it. Such a great concept. Only one thing: I just wish the shipping was faster – it says two day shipping, but when you have to send it back, get the return processed, process the new shipment and then finally send the new box out … it ends up being at minimum 5-6 days in between, which means often I’m spending more time per month waiting for a tote than actually enjoying my awesome totes! I was told they were going to start shipping your next tote when they got the scan for your precious tote being returned, which would make a big difference, but haven’t seen that play out yet. Overall, I still love the fun totes and no commitment of trendy pieces.

*previous (though they are often precious!)

    • Fitnessista on July 22, 2015 at 2:01 pm

interesting! that’s good to know. maybe they’ll start implementing those changes

    • Nina on August 3, 2015 at 10:46 am

That’s strange – I find the shipping super fast! I send mine back and then get an email within the next 24 hours that they are prepping my next tote and I always go in an finalize it ASAP. My last tote I returned on a Thursday afternoon and my next tote was delivered first thing Monday morning.
I hope the shipping speeds up for you!
I am in love with Le Tote!

ok I must say that I am intrigued and I love your items, but what do they do with the items that were worn? they washed it after you send them and send to another member? I am not clear on that one, so basically its like exchanging clothes with your friends, only in this case with strangers?!
The printed dress is adorable, and you look beautiful in it.

    • Fitnessista on July 22, 2015 at 2:01 pm

hahah yes, i think that’s exactly it. (is it weird i didn’t even think about that? they look and smell brand new)

      • Katalina @ Peas and Peonies on July 22, 2015 at 2:07 pm

haha I like playing dress up with people I know, but O don’t know how I fee about wearing something that God knows where it was! The idea is great, I can see who it can work, and since its not brand new items that’s why its affordable, I guess there is something for everyone’s needs ๐Ÿ™‚

Such a cool idea! Love the idea of having a rotating closet. Perfect for when you want to jump on the trends that you KNOW aren’t going to last more than a season… ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for sharing!
