Well that’s what I did Something about knowing there is a beautiful breakfast cookie waiting in the fridge for me makes me get out of bed so much faster!!! I woke up, took the puppies on a nice long walk and then came home to munch my cookie with some molten chocolate coffee. It was muy delicioso.
After breakfast, I went to the gym for some easy cardio (it’s my "active recovery day"). I hopped on the elliptical for 40 minutes and read the new Shape magazine. There’s a recipe in there for lighter chocolate brownies that I think I’m going to make for the party we’re going to on Saturday They look pretty glorious. While on the elliptical, I alternated between 5 crossramp and 5 resistance for 5 minutes, with 10 crossramp and 10 resisistance for 5 minutes for the duration of 40 minutes. It was a breezy little cardio sesh, but it always feels good to get moving, especially on a rest day. My friend Renee is subbing yoga today which I’m planning on going to. I honestly don’t like yoga at all (except for the meditative benefits) and she said she has a nice and relaxing class planned for today with lots of meditation. Sounds like a perfect rest-day activity to me.
After the gym, I had a Clif Mojo bar for a snack. These just aren’t my favorite. I like the Z-bars much better, and while these are good (anything with chocolate chips is good!) they are very salty. I’m super sensitive to salty foods, and when I opened the wrapper I could smell the saltiness. Of course, I ate it anyway (I hate hate hate wasting food).
My day today is going to be filled with cleaning (our friend Kim comes in tomorrow and is staying with us for a week), a little yoga, and somehow I got volunteered to take some squadron guys lunch right now from Thai Mobile. Sweet.
Hope ya’ll have a wonderful day!! It’s almost the weekend!!!!
