From the weekend
It’s been quite a weekend over here!
We took the little one to her friend’s first birthday party and had a blast.
Party favors:
(candy that the Pilot and I ended up sharing)
After the party, we came back the house for our first home-cooked meal in quite a while
(so I bought the rotisserie chicken first, but it’s a step in the right direction)
This morning was patio brunch with the fam at Eclectic Cafe:
I ordered the turkey scramble and fruit, which was good, but not my fave. Last week’s lox and eggs were much better.
And a pic of Bell, since she’s been lacking in blog face time lately 😉
Today we’re just chilling and taking care of things around the house before the week begins. I’m going to meal plan our dinners and grocery shop for the week, and get the Winter Shape Up workout together. I have a fun challenge for you guys tomorrow, so I’ll be looking forward to see what you send in.
Hope you’re having a very happy Sunday!
xoxo
Gina
Hot cocoa words of wisdom:
Those tights are the cutest – I’d quite like some for myself! 😀
me too!
Sounds like a fun weekend with your little family 🙂 I’ll have to try adding goat cheese to my sweet potatoes, I love the salty & sweet combo!
brunch looks delish! so happy you are enjoying the weekend with your new little fam 🙂
You look beautimous! 🙂
Cutest tights ever! You look gorgeous Gina. Truly. 🙂
Breakfast with the family is always so nice!! Your meal looked delicious! Happy Sunday 🙂
Yay Bella! Don’t worry, puppy, you’ll always be the first Fitnessista blog baby. 😀
Ahhh I love that Sunday’s are going out to Brunch Day!! Ryan and I usually do the same, but we’re lamo and end up at the Hot Bar from Whole Foods! LOL!!!
Have a great afternoon!!
xxoo
I love little feet 🙂 P.S. Your house is gorgeous!
Haha I wish adults had party favors at our parties still! I would be so happy if someone handed me a bag of candy at the end of the night 🙂
Yes! That’d be the best. Candy or maybe a baked good?! Dreaming big haha 🙂
AW!! first birthday party for the girl 🙂 so cute.. that cafe looks delicious!
You look SO beautiful. You are a glowing new mama! I’m very jealous of your crops and sandals in January look. Although I can’t complain too much – we have been having pretty “warm” weather for January in NJ.
P.s. Love Livi’s tights! I need them for my lil gal.
I love your cardigan. And your hair looks beautiful 🙂 Totally jealous.
You look absolutely gorgeous Gina, I pray I come out looking like you after being pregnant. You are just glowing!!
Bella looks like she’s still queen of the casa. 🙂
Mmm is there ever a time NOT to have hot cocoa? One of my favorite drinks
You look so cute! Love your top and sandals!
Love your outfit in the photo of you holding Bella! Those gold sandals, I die!
Gina you look awesome in that last pic…I am so impressed by just truly how amazing you’re looking SO FAST after the birth.
And also impressed you went to a kiddie bday party…given the nursing schedule, lack of sleep, etc. You go girl!
Gina, you look so beautiful! Seriously…did you just have a baby or what!? My husband took a month off after our twins were born and we were walking zombies and so tired ALL. THE. TIME. In regard to your other post about breastfeeding, congrats on being so successful with it! All through my pregnancy I had wanted so badly to breastfeed them but as 4.5lb preemies, they had trouble latching on (even the lactation consultants were not successful) and I couldn’t keep up with feeding them via bottle, then pumping afterward. I had enough to let them drink breastmilk/formula for about 3 months and then went formula full time. I am always in awe of hearing breastfeeding success stories.
As a mom of a 2 yr old and a 4 month old, I can tell you, rotisserie chickens are so a staple!! Welcome to the new mommy club. 🙂 Love your family posts–your darling is such a cutie. Your birth story was awesome–having just gone through it myself, it was literally painful to read though! lol…
Also, I have to say you look as gorgeous as ever. I really admire your healthy mindset in recovery. I have struggled with it this time around more so than the first, so it’s encouraging to read your posts. Keep it up, and don’t be afraid to ask for help–especially when the meals stop coming and the adrenaline wears off from the first weeks, and the lack of sleep kicks in! You might feel low, but don’t beat yourself up about it–it happens to all of us, and just know that it’s just a phase and you are doing great. 🙂
LOVE your outfit! You are looking fabulous Gina!!
You look fantastic Gina! And I love Livi’s cute little stockings!
You look so amazing!! I can only hope I look as good as you after a baby 🙂
Ok you do not look like you just had a baby! Love Livi’s tights, so precious. Nothing like baby girls clothes.
Sounds like a great weekend! Also, you are looking great Gina!
Good luck with the cooking this week — and using rotisserie chicken totally counts as cooking when you’ve just had a baby 🙂
You’re so thin…wow!
What kind of rotisserie chicken do you buy? I want some so so bad, but the only kind they sell at the local grocery store is “herb-garlic” and its definitely not organic or fresh or anything. Is yours?
Where did you get your ‘live with passion’ mug? I really like it!
seconded.
i’ve been searching online, and i can’t find any like it. i know i’ve seen these mugs with other quotes, too! drat…
Haha, I love your comment about the chicken. Certainly a step in the right direction 😉 Happy that you get to enjoy brunch with the fam now that you are not working! How long are you off work for? What is happening to Livi when you go back?
So jealous that you are wearing capris and sandals in January… I gotta move south!! : )
Awww are those the tights I got Livi?? Love them! Been trying to find then in 12 month size for Ella…she had a brown pair they’re the best! We had a first birthday party today too! Ella’s first kid party although there were way more adults than kids!
You seriously look amazing! I’m a little jealous ha! I didn’t look that good 2 weeks post partum…you don’t even look like you had a baby! And you’re fitting in your jeans?? That’s amazing! Good luck this week. This is when it gets tricky when you have to prep food. I know you’ll do great though.
Ohh, how I’ve missed hot cocoa this “winter”! I need a realllly cold day to have some. The high here tomorrow is in the 60’s – it is crazy!
Your baby’s little tights are so precious and you look fab btw. Really cute outfit.
You are GLOWING!! Oh my goodness =D Hope you got some relaxation time in this weekend too!
Look at those ballerina tights; too freaking cute. Seriously, all her outfits thus far posted on the blog are so cute. And you look absolutely amazing.
Love that hot cocoa mug!!! Where’d you find it?
Thank you! It was a gift 🙂
Cute mug!
I love that you get out of the house with Livi and go do things….nice to see you incorporating her into yoru life 🙂
I want that mug! Where did you get it?
At work- I’ll see if we still have some 🙂
