10/4: Friday Faves {sneak giveaway}

Livi now asks me to please braid her hair most mornings. She’ll tell me if she wants a braid, Dorothy braids or a bun. I tell ya.

-Salmon tacos. We had taco night this week, and this 15-minute meal was blackened salmon with lettuce, avocado and a cumin-lime yogurt sauce on corn tortillas. I heated up some black beans to go with it and boom! Dinner was served.

-A new kombucha scoby! The “mother” scoby is usually only good for about 3 batches, and none of my baby scobies were strong enough, so it was time to replenish the stash. I have a giant batch of kombucha fermenting away in the pantry and am so excited to play with some holiday-esque flavors 😉

-Physique 57’s new website and an all-new cardio sculpt option for their online classes. I haven’t been able to do P57 at home with half marathon training, but I’m so excited to check out their new workouts when the half is over. If you check out the new ones, let me know how they are!

-Fall decor. As soon as this post publishes, I’m heading out to the garage to bring in all of the Halloween decorations. Scary excited 😉

    I got in a 4 mi run with my dog this morning before work (I know, workin’ on the weekend. Fail.) and tomorrow I’ll go to the gym after work for a cardio circuit workout. I’ve been wanting to try out the nanos for my weight/circuit training. *fingers crossed*

    Hot yoga today and a run around the National Mall with my boyfriend tomorrow. I used some of the tips/comments from the post on getting your SO to work out to get him to agree!

    I run every AM before work w my dogs. Crossfit 2x after work. Spin/TRX Saturday and YOGA on Sunday. EVERY WEEK.

    I just got home from a barre class and that plus the walking I will do during my serving shift is the plan today then tomorrow I’m doing a 10k run!

    Walk/run with the toddler in the stroller, hopefully she’ll behave long enough to let me get a good one in on Saturday. And Sunday the husband is back in town so I’m hitting up a class at the gym, not sure what yet, just very excited to be able to go!

    A long trail walk in our gorgeous fall weather! I’m so happy it’s cooler down…taking the kids and hubby on a walk in the Mountains is good for the body and soul!

    I hope to fit in a quick interval/strength routine in today before my 10 year class reunion!!! When we get home tomorrow, I plan on an easy run in the neighborhood.

    I have a huge leg day tomorrow where I am hoping to hit a personal record on my back squats!

    We had aqua babies this morning followed by spin! Tomorrow the hubs and I are going for a family run followed by hot yoga! We pack family fitness on weekends because week days are so crazy! Happy weekend!!

    In between tons of schoolwork, I did a hot yoga session today and have a 30km marathon training session scheduled for tomorrow. It will be the longest run I have done yet, and I am super nervous!

    I have an early thanksgiving dinner today with my family, and then I am meeting a girl friend tomorrow at 8 am to go for a long walk in the river valley, maybe walk off some of the glorious food I will be feasting on tonight.

    Oh my gosh I’ve been dying for a pair of these shoes! I’m so excited for this giveaway! Saturday is an AM HIIT treadmill workout with an arms/chest circuit and Sunday is RUNDAY! I’m looking forward to a nice 6 miles.

    I have been eyeing these shoes like crazy! Friday I did an awesomely sweaty arm workouts and a short run with my pup, today it was a looooong walk with the pup, and Sunday (tomorrow) is a half-marathon!!!

    Busy weekend, but I love it!

    Love the shoes! This weekend I’m going roller skating on the bike path (got a pair of roller skates from the 70’s at a garage sale that sounds like a herd of shopping carts but I love them!) and plus some HIIT and yoga 🙂

    My fitness plan for the weekend is to be outside as much as possible! Maybe a nice long run and a couple walks with my dogs. I live in WY and winter is just about here, which wouldn’t be so bad except it usually stays for about eight months! 🙁

    I went to crossfit today for the first time with my friend who is a regular. I loved every second of it! Tomorrow is a rest day and then back to half marathon training Monday. Have a great weekend!
