Bring on the boots

Living in Valdosta sheltered my fashion life. Thatโ€™s not to say that I didnโ€™t see fashionable people while I lived there, but the shopping was kind of scary. Even with frequent escapes to Jacksonville and Orlando, I kind of fell out of my usual stylish ways. When I first started to see boots and skinny jeans popping up two years ago [in magazines and blogs, not in *real life*], I had no idea which kind to get, since Iโ€™d have to order them. Thank goodness my fashionable Snacky Friend came to the rescue and suggested these beauties:

boots

[Sorry for the old blurry pic. All of my photos used to be blurry, and I had no idea, haha]

Iโ€™ve been in love with boots ever since.

Last year, I picked up this pair from Aldo:

boots

[LOVE the hidden wedge in these! They make me taller and I appreciate it]

and am already starting to scope out this yearโ€™s pair.

When I showed these to the Pilot, he flipped out, and not because theyโ€™re so beautifulโ€ฆ.

itโ€™s because theyโ€™re $500.

[But Iโ€™d wear them everydayโ€ฆ..]

Looks like Iโ€™ll be on a mission for something similar, unless the boot fairy pays me a visit ๐Ÿ˜‰

Last year, the lace-up grungy kind of boots were really popular, and this year some of the boot trends are:

Shearling or faux fur lined

[Iโ€™ll most likely be getting that pair. Similar cut to the Tory boots but a much more reasonable price]

I love boots so much, friends in college called me Jess in Boots. I’m still kind of addicted.

Enzo Angiolini shoes are a choice. The shoes are actually pretty good quality and affordable. I have a few pair in my closet that I love just as much as some more expensive ones. The Tory ones are cute too but $500 is a big purchase. I can’t wait to see which boots you buy.

I just wanted to say how lucky you are to be able to wear skinny jeans while preggo! I CANNOT wait until next fall when I’ll be back to my boots (They dont fit my swollen feet right now) and skinny jeans!

I don’t own a good pair of boots! I really love classic equestrian boots and I am waiting for the perfect pair. Until then, I will be living in my Uggs.

I have been lusting over those Tory Burch boots too!!! I told my husband that if those boots were a man, I’d leave him for them. ha ha…he told me I need to re-evaluate my priorities. lol.

I wound up with these boots instead, which were 20% off at the time (over $400 less than TB!) and I love them! Very comfortable and cheap enough to buy in a couple of colors! http://www.victoriassecret.com/ss/Satellite?ProductID=1265602442717&c=Page&cid=1314948170555&pagename=vsdWrapper

I just wrote about my (equestrian style) boots today ’cause I have SO much love for them. Problem is, now that I have a brown pair, I want a black pair! I don’t think it’s ever going to end…

I’m a Midwest girl, so boots are a huge staple here in fall, winter, and early spring. I think they are flattering on just about everyone, and for that reason, I feel they really are a good investment. I probably own 5 or 6 pairs, in a range of colors, but my favorites are probably the riding-styles Seychelles I bought last year from endless.com. Here is something similar from this year’s line (in whiskey):

This year I want to add a pair of short booties to the collection, so I’ll be on the look-out!

Pilot shmilot. It’s 2011 get your boots working girl! Garrr. I love Tory shoes in general and ended up with these http://www.saksfifthavenue.com/main/ProductDetail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524446427948&R=885427787945&P_name=Tory+Burch&sid=132DB4136314&Ntt=tory+burch+boot&N=0&bmUID=jbrYxLz. I adore your Aaden choice, I wish it came in that smoke color of the Selma. So many pretty things out now! You never showed us which MK watch you got, I received an e-mail showing me the new chocolate colors from Nordstrom?? Yum. I need a fashion post update!!

I am a boot girl, well I am a shoe girl. SO when fall comes…..boots and me are like almond butter and chocolate. I actually just purchased two new pairs of boots. A black biker style boot that I LOVE LOVE LOVE. And then for something a little fun for when it gets cold I got some short ones like the Boutique 9 ones you posted. I haven’t worn them yet, as I feel they are more of a winterish time.

I worked as a stage manager in Valdosta for 2 months a few years ago. It was really one of the oddest places I’ve ever spent a lot of time in. It made my town in Arkansas seem almost cosmopolitan by comparison. It also seemed to have an odd layout.
