Guess whoโs been a lazy bum tonight?? *raises hand* ME! To be honest, Iโm not feelinโ so hot but more on that in a second :/
In happier news, I received the most lovely package from Katie today!
I asked for something fun from One Lucky Duck in exchange for some raw macaroons and she surprised me with a boatload of glorious goodies.
Cinnamon crispies from One Lucky Duck:
A nougat bar for the pilot:
CHOCOLATE AGAVE SAUCE (foodgasms in the near future.. I can already tell)
And a new book!
Pretty amazing, right?
Thank you again, so much Katie <3
So to be honest with yaโll, not too much happened according to the grand plan for the day. No run, no tart-making, nada. I often get asked how I donโt get burned out with all of the things I do (four jobs is a lot, haha). The only thing that keeps me going is when on nights like tonight, when I start to feel a little exhausted, worn down, or kinda sick, I lay low for the night. It doesnโt happen often, but when it does, I take a little break.
Off to continue my bum night and Iโll see ya in the morning, refreshed and doing the Friday dance.
xoxo,
Gina
FEEL BETTER DARLING!!!!
Enjoy the chill night ๐
Is that from One Lucky Duck in NYC??
Doing a whole lot of nothing is needed! I hope you’re night is extra relaxing!
Hope you’re feeling better soon – keep up the veggies and the vegging
Oh no lady. Hope your plan to lay low tonight works and you don’t actually get sick! Vegging is definitely nice every once in a while.
I thought this post might give a clue to what the GREAT news was that you mentioned on twitter- no such luck. ๐
Love veg days. Arent they fun? I get the most random things accomplished on days like that. That agave sauce looks oh em gee amazing. You gotta use it asap so we can all drool. ๐

Enjoy your downtime – you’ve earned it! ?
Enjoy the book. I found it really inspiring and thought-provoking — definitely one of my favorite recent reads.
I’m just finishing up that book. It’s a great read and will make you want to hit up a farmers market ASAP. I’m in Wisconsin and warm temps can’t come soon enough! I’m looking forward to helping my parents with the garden at their house. Can’t wait for fresh veggies!
Feel better chica! What a perfect day to get a little present to give you a little perk to your day. ๐
Hope you have a relaxing evening and enjoy the read. Put the feet up and enjoy.
Well, shoot! If anyone deserves a break, it would be you, me dear. I hope your evening continued to be “under the radar” and you’re up and refreshed today! ๐

Relax and enjoy your night! We all need those every once in a while!
Uh oh…hopefully taking the night off will help you recover. Hate, hate, hate getting sick!
That veggie pile looks deeelicious!
I hear ya, gina….it’s days like these that help us recoup our energy and strength. Our body is an amazingly designed machine…often people don’t listen to their bodies; honor your body, your strengths and weaknesses and go with the flow.
I have a question for you- what is your facial skin care regimen?…what cleansing and moisturizing products do you use?..do you use your coconut oil on your face?
Enjoy!… we are having a winter snowstorm…18 to 24 inches of snow expected over today and tomorrow.
hey geetha-
here’s a post i did on skincare: http://fitnessista.com/?p=3830
Hope you are feeling better!!
Great idea to do nothing…..It is what makes us stronger and better in the long run.
Nice looking package. The book looks like it will be an interesting read.
Feel better! Hope you do a book review for us on that one.

And will you do a review of the book when you’re done reading it? I’ve been looking to buy it but haven’t been sure if it’s “worth” it.
i already have plans for that chocolate suace ๐

That book is amazing. One of my top 5 reads ever!
Hey Gina,
Hope you feel better soon!!!! ๐ ๐ Kick back & relax, catch up on some gossip mags, shows, or new books ๐ We are snowed in here in DC so I’ll be doing the same!
xx
Lauren
Hope you’re feeling better!! Chocolate agave sounds beyond amazing!
Vegging out is a cure all – that’s what I’ve been doing since last night. Coming home from my business trip coupled with more work and school made K a very unhappy person. What a lovely gift from Katie! She’s such a doll ๐
Happy Friday, G$!
Sometimes you just have to listen to your body. I had a day like that and after resting and relaxing I felt ready to get back to exercise the next day.
We all need a chance to relax and veg out on occasion. You work really hard and definitely deserve an evening off from time to time. Hope you enjoyed it. ๐
That’s such a wonderful book. I fell in love with it! Discussions about canning tomatoes and gardening are made fun and interesting with her prose. Enjoy it!
That’s an AWESOME book and totally got me into eating local…or trying to a bit. Don’t know how easy that will be in Valdosta. I’m not even sure where Valdosta is…hahah.
I’m so glad you got the package! Hope you enjoy ๐
Good for you for taking a much-needed night off. Nothing wrong with veging! I’m doing that tomorrow during the day, and can’t WAIT.
I am in need of some expert advice on weight lifting! First of all let me say that you have inspired me to lift weights with your shape up plan! See my problem is that I run… and only run! I have been trying to follow your shape up plan and work my abs regularly, however, I feel like my lower back/muffin top is not going away. Do you have any tips on how to work this particular area? I thought that doing intervals on the treadmill would have an impact, but I’m not seeing it. Perhaps I’m impatient!
hey bridget,
here’s a post i did all about abs: http://fitnessista.com/?p=4136
๐ hang in there and eventually you’ll see the results you’re looking for!
hi gina- do you have any suggestions for beginners with yoga? i want to start at home- any dvds you would reccomend? i know you do the podcasts too.
thanks- love the blog!
