Annual survey + Favorite Things Giveaway

Hi friends! As we put the cherry on top of the 2020 dumpster fire and say ADIOS to this year, I wanted to take a minute to say thank you.

I don’t take this blog or the work I’m able to do for granted, ever. Every single day I’m excited to connect with all of you in this space which first began when the Pilot told me to “stop shopping online so much and find a hobby that doesn’t cost anything.” <— lol. The blog has grown and changed so much over the years, and whether you’re an OG blog reader (thank you!!!) or a new friend (hi! welcome!!), I hope you know how much I appreciate you hanging out with me over here.

Every click, comment, follow, like, product purchase, and pageview directly helps our family and I am sending you so much love and gratitude.

How about a little giveaway?

Each year, I put together some of my favorite products to surprise a lucky reader friend.

I am grateful that my family is safe, that there is food on the table, and that there is hope for the future. God bless!

Honestly, so many happy memories! We bought our first house and moved to the ‘burbs and got married! What a weird year but I am thankful for so many things. Accepting and embracing that I cannot control outside circumstances but can control my reaction to them is the best life lesson I’ve learned this year.

Seeing my son grow this year, being able to ride his bike especially

  8. Josie on December 21, 2020 at 12:41 pm

As difficult as working from home with a 5 year old and a just turned 2 year old, it gave me the opportunity to really watch them grow. My daughter was just a little over a year old when we when this all started. She has grown so much in the last 9 months and getting to watch it has been wonderful. I went back to work when she was 10 weeks old, so getting this time with her has been the best part of 2020.

Going on vacation with my Sister and Nieces before lockdowns hit last February. We went to Arizona to visit my parents who live there and it was my nieces first time being there (that they remembered) so it was fun spending that time with them.

You know, despite the dumpster fire you just reminded me that there were many happy memories this year. Seeing my boyfriend recover from COVID in March is a very happy memory, watching my sweet German Shepherd puppy Pola become the sweetest dog, cooking more than I ever have, and getting a little injection of hope with the vaccine news (pun intended;)

I work at a hospital on our vaccine project and I am grateful the end is near as we just started vaccinated our colleagues this weekend! At one point we delivered the vaccine to an ICU nurse that worked the shift when we lost almost 20 patients in one shift to COVID. I’m so grateful for science

Getting to spend so much time cuddled up home with my littles was trying at times, but also the best opportunity to slow down and enjoy the little things -rediscovering a love of board games, nightly family walks around the neighborhood and much more!

The happiest memory I have of 2020 is the birth of baby #2 – my little girl! Watching her grow up has been a shining light in the midst of so much darkness. And her big brother is crushing it, too!

I turned 40 this year in April. At the beginning of covid I thought for sure everything would be shut down for maybe a month and be open in time for my birthday. Well, we all know how that turned out. But! It was one of my best birthdays ever. I started a new job and the staff was (and is) awesome and made me feel welcome and part of the group. My family took time to reach out to me. My husband and kids let me plan a day of what I wanted to do which was having a picnic and going to the lake to hang out on the beach.

  49. Cathy on December 21, 2020 at 12:56 pm

My happiest 2020 moment was hearing my don will soon return home from Deployment!
