Hi friends! As we put the cherry on top of the 2020 dumpster fire and say ADIOS to this year, I wanted to take a minute to say thank you.
I don’t take this blog or the work I’m able to do for granted, ever. Every single day I’m excited to connect with all of you in this space which first began when the Pilot told me to “stop shopping online so much and find a hobby that doesn’t cost anything.” <— lol. The blog has grown and changed so much over the years, and whether you’re an OG blog reader (thank you!!!) or a new friend (hi! welcome!!), I hope you know how much I appreciate you hanging out with me over here.

I did your survey and your age groups are not unique. I think it should be 45 to 55 and then 55 to 70.
My favorite memory of 2020 is renting a lake cabin with my family in July.

We went to Joshua Tree the week before lockdown and because it was foggy, the park was empty! It was so much fun to have the park practically to ourselves!
I got engaged this year!!! So incredibly excited to marry my best friend in 2021!
My favorite thing about this year has been spending more time with family. I love being home more with my kids. Even if they love their iPads and friends more than me den days 😉

My happy memory is rescuing two cats a few weeks ago. Like you, we experienced a huge pet loss this year (both of our elderly cats with significant health issues passed this fall. They were our loooooooves and it was just so so so hard. Your posts about Bella have really hit home. ❤️). While we weren’t ready for a little bit, two adorable cats joined our lives and we are just so happy.
A funny aside, about a week ago, my husband told me, “I’m probably the only 40 year old who learned a rubix cube.” I shared your post about the pilot learning one this year too! He appreciated that. 😉

In a year full of sadness and grief, my husband and I were ecstatic to welcome our first baby, a sweet, silly, and wonderful little boy, in May. He has been a beacon of light and fun in the midst of this pandemic, and I am so grateful!

I live in Alaska and my family lives in Wisconsin. I was so grateful I made it home to be with my dad before he passed.
I did the survey! Our European vacay was cancelled d/t Covid, but we created happy 2020 family memories with two family trips instead. Glacier National
park and Sedona. Gorgeous!

This is amazing!! I had a really tough year – I lost my mom to breast cancer in June – but I am grateful for so much time with family, as we’ve really needed to lean on one another <3

My child lost her first teeth! Four to be exact.
Fav memory? The sense of community when walking multiple times a day in my neighborhood during the pandemic. Or just smiling watching kids play outside and thinking – life goes on! Let’s make it the best we can.
