Hi friends! As we put the cherry on top of the 2020 dumpster fire and say ADIOS to this year, I wanted to take a minute to say thank you.
I don’t take this blog or the work I’m able to do for granted, ever. Every single day I’m excited to connect with all of you in this space which first began when the Pilot told me to “stop shopping online so much and find a hobby that doesn’t cost anything.” <— lol. The blog has grown and changed so much over the years, and whether you’re an OG blog reader (thank you!!!) or a new friend (hi! welcome!!), I hope you know how much I appreciate you hanging out with me over here.

My happy memory from this year is that my husband and I bought our first house! It felt like we’d never be able to do this, so we are thrilled. We can’t wait to make some happy memories in it with our four-year-old and the dogs, too, of course!

A happy memory of 2020 was my second baby being born in April. It was super scary before and the surprisingly peaceful during. Silver lining for sure but here’s to a less chaotic and ridiculous 2021 lol

Best memory of 2020 was teaching my kids to cook dinners for the family since they had the time. I’m over it now though, bring back the afterschool activities (and school, for that matter)!

A happy memory from 2020 will be that our lives SLOWED down. Like WAY down. And while we had to re-arrange schedules and expend extra energy in the pool, we got to that together and not rush because we had practice, a game, etc.

happy memory: we took a trip up to the mountains as a family over labor day. We hiked and stayed safe but it was such a nice break from the routine and we made lots of fun memories.

A happy memory from 2020 is celebrating my mother’s birthday in March before everything shut down the following week. We went to a restaurant that she loved and laughed a lot and celebrated another year of her beautiful life. It was glorious!

Being able to connect via Facetime and Zoom with my nieces from afar this year brought me a lot of joy! I am so thankful for the technology to stiill “see” them growing up when I am unable to visit!
