Barre3 giveaway

Rise and shine, it’s giveaway time!

As you guys know, I’ve fallen in love with Barre3 workouts over the past year. A studio is opening up in Tucson very soon -in the meantime, check out their free Saturday classes at lululemon in La Encantada!- and I was stoked to see that they have a studio here in La Jolla. I’ve been a couple of times already and love this challenging, balanced and fun workout, which contains elements from dance, traditional strength, yoga and Pilates. It also makes my thighs quiver and beg for sweet mercy; I’m always pleasantly sore after a class.

One of the things I’ve noticed and love about Barre3 is that they support an entire healthy lifestyle: one that doesn’t end when you leave the studio doors. They provide online workouts, recipes, nutrition tips, and also childcare (aka the Play Lounge) for mamas who want to get in a workout. Working out each day and taking a little time for myself helps me to be more present and more productive in everything I do — I’m sure many of you feel the same way! I love the fact that Barre3 helps to make this feasible for women with young kiddos, busy professionals (who can bust out a workout while traveling, thanks to the online workouts), anyone looking for an effective and fun workout, or someone who may just be getting started in fitness. During class, they provide lots of modifications so if you want to go Turbo, you can, or if you’re a beginner, you can easily modify.

Barre3 is running a spring challenge this May, and they kindly offered some awesome giveaway packs for three lucky readers.

-To participate in the Spring challenge, take up to four 60-minute Barre3 classes each week from May 5 – June 1st and two 10-minute online workouts. You can substitute any of the online workouts if you can’t make it to a class (or if there isn’t a studio near you) and adjust the schedule according to your lifestyle. Participants can also follow the provided meal plan. If you’d like to try the online workouts, they offer a free two-week trial here.

-Three lucky readers will each receive the Spring challenge pack, which includes 30 days of unlimited online workouts, weekly emails with nutrition tips and recipes, access to the weekly online lectures with Sadie Lincoln (founder of Barre3) and functional nutritionist Andrea Nakayama, an orange core ball, and an amazing Barre3 Mason jar tumbler (in the first pic above).

No Barre3 studios in my state, but I’ve been scheming with my girlfriends to try out a similar workout studio that just came to town. It looks like so much fun! My fitness goal is to add some new workouts to my schedule. Most summers I just bike, but this summer I want to bike AND try other fun things.

This Spring I really want to get back into Strength Training. I stopped doing it after my wedding to take a “break” that has lasted approximately 6 months. I’m getting burned out doing all cardio all the time and and miss how good it feels to lift heavy things off the ground!

I love that Barre3 caters to those who do not live near a studio with their online and mobile options!

This is great! I tried Pure Barre last summer with a two week coupon and it was a great workout. The only reason I stopped going is because its pretty expensive. I would love to get back on the barre wagon!

Oh I’ve wanted to try this for so long! I am moving on Saturday and trading my 3-hour daily commute for a 20 min walk to and from work– which means I finally have time again to DO THINGS besides sit on a bus and train! Barre3 is something I’ve wanted to try for a long time 🙂

  23. Katherine K on April 24, 2014 at 11:52 am

My goal for spring is to increase my core strength after having my second kiddo in late February. (The Barre3 10-minute postpartum workout and your April plank challenge are my go-to exercises for that – thanks to both for such great workouts!) 🙂

Excellent giveaway – I’ve been looking to try other styles of barre classes (I’m obsessed with PureBarre right now!) and the online option sounds great for days when I’m not near a studio (which is basically any day I don’t commute into work in DC…)

  44. Dyanna on April 24, 2014 at 12:00 pm

I really want to get my sled pull/push weight up to 500lbs. and Increase my monthly mileage for runs

  45. Jennifer on April 24, 2014 at 12:01 pm

Oddly enough, one of my Spring fitness goals is to take at least one barre class! This would be the perfect kick start!

  46. Lara on April 24, 2014 at 12:01 pm

My goal is to take a weekly yoga class. Usually I work out early in the morning by myself in my home. That keeps me consistent but I find it so fulfilling to get out and be active with others sometimes too, especially for yoga. The vibe helps me be so much more focused and relaxed than when I just do it by myself.

  47. kristin M. on April 24, 2014 at 12:02 pm

Per your list of things to do in April, I added a fitness goal for myself to workout at least 4 days per week. Amazingly, with my crazy school schedule I have been successful with this goal. I will be studying for and taking my first round of board licensing exams in June so my spring fitness goal is to remember to make fitness a priority each week and to take time for myself to workout while I am crazy busy prepping for boards.

  48. Morgan on April 24, 2014 at 12:02 pm

Great giveaway! Have been trying to incorporate Barre into my workouts, and have used your Barre Burner videos as a lunch time workout or as an exclamation point to a larger workout! Spring fitness goal – incorporate a new form of workout (barre, boxing, yoga)

  49. Amy on April 24, 2014 at 12:02 pm

My spring fitness goal is to workout once a day!

  50. Alison W on April 24, 2014 at 12:02 pm
