Fave cold weather gear + a giveaway- ENDED
Welcome to Tucson, winter.
I have to say, I was a little bit excited when I pulled out my beloved purple Scuba hoodie this morning.

It felt so weird to easily zip it, instead of awkwardly trying to zip it over a large pregnant belly like last year, even though I do kinda miss the belly. I love the soft fabric, the cozy hood and the thumbholes, of course. While it never gets cold enough to warrant working out in a sweatshirt out here, it’s definitely one of my favorite cold weather pieces.
Also on the list: my new arm sleeves that I bought for the race a few weeks ago.

It’s a perfect way to keep warm, without having to commit to a long-sleeved shirt. You get too hot, you take the sleeves off and, in my case, stuff them in your shirt to give you some crazy-looking bumps.
I also love running tights, ear warming headbands and mittens when it’s time for outdoor workouts in the cold. As much as I love all of the extras, hoodies will always be my favorite! I adore so many different styles and brands.

Favorite winter workout would be skate skiing!
For some reason, I am really looking forward to the long runs this winter in rainy, chilly Seattle. That sweatshirt looks perfect for working out in wet weather!

my favorite winter workout is zumba! i live in florida so the instructors at my gym occasionally take the class outside! it’s gorgeous and you get to warm up your cold bones by shaking your bootay!!
I love a brisk walk! Also love 30 day shred for days when it’s just too cold to go outside.
I am learnign to love running in the cold. I would also love to go snowshoeing…we just need a really good storm here in CT!
I love running right before or right after it snows (if the sidewalks have been cleaned). It’s cold, but slightly humid so no burning chest and chapped cheeks! You work up a great sweat without feeling too hot. There is something oddly satisfying about bundling up and working up a sweat even though there is snow on the ground 🙂

I took my first hot yoga class last night and LOVED it!!!! I moved to MI for school so this is my first snowy winter. I learned the hard way about the importance of layering when working out outside (let’s just say I was purple by the end of my run). Keeping my fingers crossed for a few more outdoor workouts before the snow is here to stay.
I’m a runner, no matter what the weather! Though I certainly layer up in the cold DC winters.

After a pretty mild fall, it finally started getting colder here in DC, so I’ve been going to fitness classes instead of running outside.
Favorite winter workout…a 4-5 mile trail run on a crisp winter morning when you are so cold at the start but end up warm as a bun in the oven!

Bikram yoga baby! Though I live in Austin where it doesn’t get freezing, it’s still the perfect winter work out. Makes me feel like I’m working out in the middle of summer. It’s so great to work out all the stiff kinks from the cold weather and all the running I’ve been doing.

My favourite winter workout is lifting weights! (It also happens to be my favourite all-the-time thing to do haha). I live in Canada and it gets COLD. I also really want to try cross country skiing this year…hopefully some snow will build up when I go home for Christmas break!
I used to love running in the freezing cold when I lived in PA! I’m sad we haven’t been stationed anywhere for the past few years where it gets very cold but whenever we go home for the holidays (and I’m not preggo) I love to get a little afternoon jog in as the sun is setting, Christmas lights are turning on and there’s a nice snowy chill in the air 🙂
Being from New York and getting tons of snowy winters throughout my years, my favorite winter workout has always been playing in the snow with my doggies 🙂 burns calories and makes my heart warm to run and chase around two big pups who are playfully roughhousing and trying to catching snowflakes 🙂

Fav winter workout: WEIGHT TRAINING.
last year I trained for a half marathon in temps below freezing – and I had a blast!
My typical winter workouts are those I can do in my living room since it’s cold and dark when I work out at 5:30 in the morning.
I looooooove walking/running at the beach in the winter!!! it feels so different than the usual warmer months and I love that the air smells different 🙂

Looks so cozy! My favorite winter workout is a sweaty 45ish minutes on the elliptical (intervals or cross-country setting) or yoga. Even better? 20 minutes of elliptical followed by yoga!

Hopefully this isn’t a double post (I didn’t see my original comment): My favorite winter workout is a long run on crisp winter day. Nothing better than getting my blood pumping to ward off the freezing cold. And I’m always proud of myself when I’m done…because I didn’t turn back home just because it’s a bit cold out.
