Fave things giveaway: Tiny Devotions

Hi! Happy almost-Friday. Hope youโ€™re enjoying the morning! Some new stuff going around the blog: there is a โ€œbookโ€ tab in the menu bar, I also updated my โ€œFriendsโ€ tab (with my favorite blogs; many of you said you used it for your daily blog reading and it was MIA!) and new Livi-isms post up on the family page. Also, I wrote a post for Demos Health about the 5 things that keep people from getting fit if youโ€™d like to check it out here!!

Now itโ€™s time for todayโ€™s giveaway, which is something I wear every.single.day.

Tiny devotions

Tiny Devotions mala beads!! (Stacked here with two Pura Vida bracelets)

Iโ€™ve been wearing the Tiny Devotions mala beads for a few years now and love how they look and feel, but also what they stand for. Theyโ€™ve been worn for thousands of years for their spiritual and healing qualities. When you wear your mala beads, you can use them to set an intention for each day or for your life in general. There are a variety of stones, materials and cords to choose from (which all mean different things!).

Today, Iโ€™m giving away a Goddess Stackย ($127).

Tiny devotions

This rhodonite, lotus and garnet stack has the intention of loving your inner goddess. ย

Too many people overvalue what they are not and undervalue what they are. This stack will help the beautiful goddess in us all shine through. The lotus promotes new beginnings and the combination of all the stones will balance you and increase your well-being. Butterflies represent transformation. They evolve from a caterpillar into a beautiful, wondrous being โ€“ much like a woman finding her inner goddess!

Garnet, Rhodonite, Lotus ย

One size fits all. Adjustable string fitting a 5inch-8inch wrist.

Hereโ€™s how to enter:

-Leave a comment with an intention that you set for yourself each dayย

I’m not very good about setting intentions, so this would be a great reminder!

  2. Elizabeth on December 11, 2014 at 10:49 am

I don’t really have intentions for the day. I suppose I try to take care of myself, and not be too hard on myself when I make mistakes.

I wake up with the intention to be present in every moment of my day, because I’ll never have that day back again. No matter if I have a frustrating/bad day or a great one, I try to find the good in it and learn from the experience.

what a great gift. As a Hindu, I have one mala necklace with brown beads, and this would be nice to keep with it. I use the mala necklace every day during my meditation of certain prayers, repeating each small prayer 108 times ( the number of beads on the necklace) .

Other than daily prayer, an intention I set for myself every day is to be kind with my words, to work hard, and to be as healthy as possible.

The 108 beads on the necklace represent the 108 different formations of the Hindu gods…. even as a Hindu, I just recently learned that fact.

It is said that by using the necklace or bracelets to count your intentions… the simple movement of the beads through your fingers has some beneficial effect. Neat huh ? !

An intention I set each day is to learn from my previous mistakes and to know that each day I’m smarter than the last. I sometimes try to be perfect with my eating and working out and recently each day I try to look at the big picture instead

  35. Kelsey Yoki on December 11, 2014 at 11:23 am

Most days, I try to set myself up for a new intention, depending on what I feel. But most days, it is to choose joy. To me, this means to look at the small things in life, and that having a positive look at my day ahead will help me in ways I don’t always realize until I look back. Excelsior (or silver lining) is my intention when I’m going through something hard.

  36. Jen on December 11, 2014 at 11:23 am

I try to live in the moment and enjoy life without getting too caught up in planning for/stressing about future events. Especially important with an 11 month old growing up in the blink of an eye!
