Friday Faves

Hi hi! How are you? How was the week? Any fun Easter plans? We’re having the usual brunch with my dad’s side of the family (give me all the drunken French toast and egg dish) and dinner with madre’s side of the family. She got a new puppy and she’s the sweetest lil thing. I hope you have a lovely and fun weekend ahead!

An exciting development from the week: the Pilot is back after 2 1/2 weeks away for work. It’s been a while since he’s had to be gone for so long – usually it’s just a few days here and there – and we’re so glad he’s back! (There was that one time he was gone for 7 months. What a treat lol.)

We get into a groove and a routine while he’s away, but the hard part for me is that I have to be on my A+ game 100% of the time. (And do all of the school drop-offs, pickups, homework help, and extracurricular stuff. Whew!) Also, I missed my friend. We like having him around.

The girls and I had some fun adventures while he was gone: a dance competition weekend in Phoenix, and then to San Diego and Disneyland for Liv to dance in the Disney parade. It was her second year doing Dance the Magic with her dance team and it’s SO magical and fun. The kids have a blast and I love watching them dance down Main Street!

(Word to the world: the food at California Adventure is wayyyy better than the Disneyland food. The salmon above is from Wine Country Trattoria.

Food and Wine festival was going on while we were there, and one night we got like 6 different things and had a little picnic. The shawarma in Avengers Land is outstanding.)Friday Faves 4.7

And now it’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party! This is where I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love to hear about your faves, too, so please shout out something you’re loving in the comments section below!

Fashion + beauty:

Not even 24 hours after the Pilot got home, I dipped out for a solo shopping trip.

I got some goodies at lululemon and some new spring items from Madewell!

Here are the goods:

This yellow dress (size down if you’re in between; I got an XS)

These shorts which fit perfectly and aren’t too long or too short (TTS)

This top (on sale)

Beautycounter new cheeky clean highlighting balms are out! I’ve been waiting for them to release a highlighter and these give the perfect amount of glow. They’re almost like a lip balm texture but aren’t greasy at all. Check them out here! Cosmo and Astro are my fave shades.

Love this sundress in pink.

Happy Friday, friends!
