My summer bucket list
Last year, I shared my summer bucket list and thought Iโd create another one for this year. There are so many fun outdoor and summer events here in SD, and Iโm looking forward to time outside with the fam and pups, enjoying the beach as much as possible, and reveling in the season of sand castles, grill parties, and evening walks for ice cream.
-Paddleboard as much as possible.
-Make Hawaiin shaved ice.
-Take one more Tucson road trip.
-Make sโmores.
-Throw a half birthday party for Livi with a jumping castle at the park.
-Start a batch of limoncello (which will be ready for fall when I can drink it!).
-Attend an outdoor concert.
-Take early evening walks outside.
-Take Liv to a swim movie night.
Whatโs on your summer bucket list?
xoxo

Such a great idea doing a seasonal bucket list! It is winter here, my least fave seasonso maybe doing one would help me put a positive spin on it and get me out of the winter funk!
I love Liv’s green patterned jumpsuit. You have such an enviable summer bucketlist. i plan to visit LA this summer from Africa. Gina, any ideas on what i should look out for?
Summer Bucket List (a few that I can think of)

– Go for walks each evening after dinner
– Camping trips to new campgrounds
Summer rocks!
I really want to make s’mores and have a beach bonfire. Those are my top two : )
Limoncello? I’ve never heard of that but it sounds divine! Hopefully you’ll be sharing the recipe?
I’ve been wanting to make my own Limoncello for awhile, I’ve bookmarked so many recipes — but in the end I know it’s pretty simple!
-Make it to the Madison Farmer’s Market
-Make s’mores during bonfire night since I have to replace my wine with something ๐
-Find the sprecher traveling beer garden and enjoy a root beer float
-Chill on the Hill; a weekly outdoor concert series
did you see love taza’s recent post on making shave ice at home? i felt so inspired after reading it.
My husband and I went to Maui 2 years ago and ate at Mama’s Fish House and it was so good…can’t wait to go back! We are taking our daughters to San Diego this summer! If you have any suggestions on things to do or places to eat, I would love to hear your recommendations!
so fun!! where are you staying? and how old are the girls? the seals at la jolla cove are amazing, they might also like the children’s museum, the zoo (!), belmont park, the little italy farmer’s market (saturdays). for eats, if you’re looking for more casual food, ob noodle house and hodad’s are incredible, and we also love bo beau kitchen, great maple for breakfast (must do!), pizza port. i’ve also heard corvette’s diner is great for kids but we haven’t been yet
Thanks so much for the recommendations! We will definitely check these out! Our girls are 12 and 10. We are staying at Hilton San Diego on Mission Bay. I am also hoping to do some SUP while visiting, as I have taken a couple SUP classes, but just at an instructor’s home in their private “lake” and loved it!
oh, you’re in a great location! lots of stuff nearby. they also might like old town (awesome mexican food and there’s a shop where you can dip your own candles). you can SUP right there in mission bay (there’s a spot in belmont where you can rent a board for $20 the first hour and $20/hr after). have so much fun ๐
Now that I live in Chicago I feel like there is SO much to do, especially during the summer. I know I am going to miss lots of things since there’s just so much to choose from!
Summer bucket list…
1. make it to the local pool at least 15 times. this may sound strange but i bought a pass and if you saw how much of a bust our summer is here in northwest PA right now, you’d understand. non.stop.rain.
2. build an ark
OR
redo my closet. i have grand plans to make my closet much more user friendly.
3. make the transition back to being an AM exerciser. i have more energy in the evening but i definitely feel better when i get it done first thing.
Hi Gina,
My Summer bucket list, consists of spending as much time outdoors with the family, beach fun, lots of bike rides and making time to get some R and R with my hubby!
I have a question regarding Yoga. I would like to start practicing a mind, body type yoga. I have been practicing Pilates for the last 10 years and need to change it up a bit with stretching, learning to breath and medication (stress management). Can you point me into the right direction as to what DVDโs are good for beginners? Any advice would be very much appreciated =0) Thanks
i love shiva rea. she has wonderful beginner DVDs!
Thank you =0)
1.) go to the beach
2.) take Matilda to the splash pad several times
3.) go stand up paddle boarding
4.) use our fire pit to make smores
