On the go with Beachmate + a giveaway!!

This post is sponsored by my friends at Beachmate and includes an awesome giveaway opportunity. Read on for the details!

When I’m out and about with the girls, I’ve been able to streamline all of our gear so that I feel like I have everything I need without being totally strapped down with bags, gear, and babies. P is riding in the Ergo, the diaper bag is on my arm, and Liv is holding my hand. We’re able to go pretty much anywhere we want to go, and all of our essentials are in the diaper bag. One of the things I couldn’t quite figure out: lugging all of our beach gear to the beach with two small children in tow. This was especially challenging after my hand surgery, since my hand is still pretty weak and I couldn’t grasp heavy items.

Beachmate to the rescue.

Beachmate 8 My friends at Beachmate sent us one of their stackable storage systems to try out, and it has been a game changer.

Beachmate

We can put everything we need in the Beachmate, including food, sunscreen, hats, towels, and extra clothes. You can flip the multi-purpose buckets over to use as tables for snacks and lunch, and it also includes a cooler for snacks.

Beachmate 2

We enjoyed a pizza picnic on the Turkish towel, and had everything we needed in the Beachmate.

Beachmate 5

Beachmate 6

Beachmate 4

Bonus: the storage system can be used to build sand castles, and the Beachmate also came with two shovels. This was definitely Liv’s favorite part.

Even fully packed, it fits easily into the car.

One thing that stood out to me was the quality of the design. Everything feels very well-made and durable, so it will last us for summers of wear and tear.

Beachmate 3

Beachmate kindly offered a giveaway for one lucky reader, who will receive their own customizable system + a beautiful Turkish towel. It will make those summer beach days less bogged down with gear, so you can pack everything up and enjoy!

In the absence of a beautiful Turkish blanket/towel like this one, I pack an old queen-sized bed sheet and use that to set up my spot on the sand!! That’s my must-have.

Beachmate seems like such a genius idea! Favorite beach memory is a bunch rolled into one – yearly family vacations as i was growing up and now with my own family.

Our neighborhood pool just opened up and I’ve wondered how I’m going to make it there with two small kiddos by myself! I love that this includes toys for the kids without having to lug those along in addition with everything else.

I can’t leave the house for the beach without a refreshing drink other than water, whether that be a juice or a beer depends on the day 🙂

This beachmate system would be brilliant for picnics at the park, too!! We don’t live near a beach, but love to pack a picnic and play at the park (sandbox included, so sand castle building is part of the fun!). I love this concept. Much better than what I typically do…resort to several bags to carry everything we need.

I have so many fond beach memories from my childhood. We always went to the beach each summer, so it’s hard to think of just one. But one that comes to mind is when I was a guest. I didn’t have any responsibilities, so I could just relax and enjoy myself on my favorite beach: Destin, FL.

  29. Jennifer M on June 2, 2016 at 1:27 pm

Just curious, if you use the containers to play in the sand, is there a way to pack up and keep away from leftover food and other things you don’t want to get all sandy? Or are you carrying those separately now? Thanks.

    • Fitnessista on June 2, 2016 at 1:33 pm

each container has a cloth handle, so we’ll rinse out the sandy ones in the ocean and carry them by both handles. when we had our pizza picnic, we still stacked everything together when we were done. the rinsed containers were next to the other bins (all the food had been eaten haha) and it didn’t get any of the other stuff sandy, since they were still in separate containers

        thanks!
