Sad Soup

Hey guys!! The weekend is in sight 🙂 How’s your morning going?? <3

LOVED all of the awesome feedback for Bridal Bootcamp! Forgot to mention to leave a comment *here* after you finish the first workout- we can cheer each other on 🙂 (and I like to hear what you think of the workouts!)

Yesterday afternoon, I had a little photoshoot with Kayla Selans. She’s a photographer in Orlando and I needed some shots done for different blog thangs.

A couple of my faves:

wheel headshot dancer

Fun, huh?? 😀

I came back to the casa and packed up dinner to take to work:

dinner

An entire bunch of kale, massaged (in a creepy way), and topped with Nama Shoyu, rice vinegar, olive oil, cayenne, Garlic Gold, sea salt and pepper- crammed into a to-go container (which leaked in the baggie I was carrying it in… loverly)

kale

+ soup from Whole Paycheck and a Larabar

The soup was *supposed* to be an Indian vegan lentil soup. Um, it tasted like water and lentils. There were about 20 spices I wanted to add to it…

I worked late, came back to the casa and called it a night <3

This morning, I had oats on the brain:

oats

Pumpkin protein oats with:

-1/3 C steel cut oats

-1/2 scoop Sun Warrior (the last I could scrape out of the bottom of the bag!)

-1/2 C pumpkin

-Stevia, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg

-Blob of almond butter + cacao nibs for my face garnish

oats (2)

Well I’m off to get started on the days to-dos and squeeze a workout in 🙂

See ya later today with Fitnessista-fied mac n’ cheese.

xoxo,

Gina

2 weeks until Foodbuzz Festival!! SO EXCITED to meet everyone who will be there <3

Today’s workout jam: “Gypsy” by Shakira – ideal for a cooldown

i hate lackluster soups. amy’s soups are on sale this week at wholefoods (5 for 10). i scooped up a TON! i love the split pea, but tried the butternut squash last night. uhhh, it was thinnnnnnnnnn. real thin. so thin i wanted to drink it. it was also pretty flavorless. i suggest buying amy’s soups, but not the butternut squash 😉

You look so pretty in your pictures. P.S. Your recent yoga post inspired me to finally get up the courage to attend a yoga class – and I loved it!! Totally not scary at all haha. Your recommendations for poses to familiarize yourself with before attending your first yoga class was right-on. So thanks!!

  19. Diana (Soap & Chocolate) on October 21, 2010 at 11:36 am

    You so fritty. 🙂

That soup IS sad. In fact, if I’m gonna make soup my main course, it better be exciting–I’m probably like a dude that way. Whenever my mom used to make soup for dinner, my dad would be like, “…and what else?” Hahaha…

    • Fitnessista on October 21, 2010 at 12:04 pm

haha i’m the same way! if i’m having soup for dinner, it better be really GOOD soup

  20. Moni'sMeals on October 21, 2010 at 11:37 am

  26. Lauren on October 21, 2010 at 12:03 pm

The photos look awesome!!! So beautiful. 🙂
I hate when you feel like you could make a store bought food so much better. Its usually a reminder to me that I just wasted money on something I could have made 1000 x better at home. But I guess in the essence of time, it’s needed some days. 🙂
    Have a great day hun.
