Empowering
Hey hey hey ๐ Howโs your day going? Hope itโs been fabulous <3
Iโve been moving a little slowly today! After my adventure-filled weekend (exploring, ninja fighting ghosts, and feasting on Chicago food is no joke) and getting into V-town at 2am this morning, itโs been a little slo mo over here ๐
Something that helped wake me up:
An Empower Glo Bar!
I havenโt had a Glo bar in forever, and when I saw one in my swag bag, I was so stoked to try them again. I usually prefer whole grain options for everyday stuff (these have white rice in them), but decided to roll with it. The verdict? LOVED this flavor. It was crunchy, chewy, slightly sweet and had a beautiful coffee aroma and flavor.
Some yaโll asked to see my Lulu goods, so hereโs the outfit that I picked up:
A cute red tank top โ the fabric is SUPER soft!
and some black capris:
Not gonna lie, my debit card wept a little when I made this purchase, even though I get 15% off for being a fitness professional. I have SUCH a hard time dropping crazy dollas for workout clothes even though I use them multiple times a day. Expensive jeans? No problem. Expensive yoga pants? Notsomuch. I think itโs because I know how stanky and sweaty Iโll get wearing them. Usually, I get Nike Tempo shorts at Nike outlet, yoga pants at Victoriaโs Secret and tops at TJ Maxx or Target. Who knows though, maybe Iโll be a Lulu convert??
Snackage:
Choc cherry bomb. Using FRESH cherries that I had to de-seed myself. That is love.
Some fun stuff came in the mail today!
Goji berries, courtesy of Sun Foods and my ZIN (Zumba Instructors Network) DVD and CD for this month. Teaching the Zumba class at HLS with Diana this past weekend made me even more excited to start teaching again in Orlando! ๐
Iโm off to train a client, then meeting the girls for dinner and Eat, Pray, Love. Has anyone seen it yet?!?
Enjoy the rest of your day <3
Gina
Upcoming: That cookie giveaway I told ya about! Weโre getting everything finalized as I type this and I think youโll love it ๐
Something to read:
-The Lululemon manifesto โadore this. One of my faves: โThe conscious brain can only hold one thought at a time. Choose a positive thought.โ
-Ghost stories!!! Ok, so now that *mostly everyone* is out of the creepy weepy hotel the Summit was in (that I didnโt end up staying a single night at, haha), here are some of the links with info about the hotel:
and tons more! Sabrina and I were Googling stories about the Congress Plaza when we left the hotel and were each snuggled in a Heavenly bed ๐
i would’ve been scared staying in that hotel, too!
i really think it’s just as well there aren’t any lulu stores here in england… i am pretty tempted to buy some of their pants from all the way across the atlantic.
i don’t really splurge too much on workout gear as a rule – if i need a bit of a boost i’ll buy the same ยฃ5 vest tops as always, just in pink, purple or red ๐
with all this zumba love, i reckon i’m gonna have to at least shuffle around at the back of one class – my gym has only just caught on to the trend. can i treat it as a “real” workout (as in sub it for circuits?….pleasepleaseplease??!!)
Lululemon is such a great store, but yes, my bank account cries too. Hopefully you like your new goods- wearing mine always makes my workout better because I feel like I look better! Have a great Tuesday!
very pretty outfit! That’s my favorite workout cloth shop! I wish they are cheaper though ๐
I saw Eat Pray Love last night. I read the book a few years ago so I enjoyed the movie… I always hate movies when I have recently read the book because I compare the 2 too much.
Enjoy!
I love your Lululemon choices! Trust me, they’re worth the money. ๐
๐ please let us know how you like your lulu purchases!
i saw the movie this weekend and lOved it! so good.
i love your zumba outfit! so cute!
I have a haunted hotel story for you . . . staying at the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, WI. One floor noted to be haunted, even the staff doesn’t like to go up there. Three of us walked the halls on that floor – but didn’t notice a thing. Until we got back to the elevator. We were standing there waiting for it to arrive, and a glass framed picture on the wall shattered right in front of us. I kid you not! Needless to say we got quite the cardio workout as we high-tailed it down the stairs instead of waiting for the elevator! Sounds like you had a great time – glad you’re home safe and sound.

GAHHHHHHH! that is so creepy!
Great blog! Found you from the open sky newsletter!
thanks so much for saying hi! ๐
Gina, did you end up wearing the rent the runway dress?

I never spend money on workout clothes! I get the draw of having cute stuff to wear to the gym or a class but I feel guilty getting such nice expensive stuff all sweaty and gross! I always just wear shorts and a t-shirt. Its no fashion statement but I’m comfortable and I don’t feel bad getting all sweaty!
Gina, I would LURVE to hear what you think of your new lululemon gear ๐
I work for head office in Vancouver, BC – I’m willing to bet you will be a lululemon convert for sure!
