Slugging Along

Hey everyone! How’s your morning?? Mine has been a little slow!

Even though we hit up the gym, it failed to give me that energy boost I can always count on…

Maybe it’s because I found out about Patrick Swayze right before going to bed.

And then let my tears fall into the raw banana nut ice cream I had for dinner….

001  (We didn’t have enough left to fill the container..so instead of tossing it into the compost, I munched it into my belly)

Banana, almond butter, mesquite, coconut meat, a little agave, vanilla and sea salt

003

Way more nutritious than Ben and Jerry’s, but ice cream nonetheless 😉

Maybe it’s also because my sleep schedule has been helter skelter since I got here.. Megan usually gets home a few hours after I go to bed, and then I wake up pretty early so I can gym it up with Michelle.

Maybe it’s because I’m missing this little thing:

This little thing:

016

And this thing:

image  (Hahaha here’s an explanation for that)

Today’s workout was not as heart-thumping as I prefer but something is always better than nothing 🙂

I had a banana sandwich before leaving the hotel-casa:

001

And did:

Elliptical Level 5 5 minutes
Stability ball hamstring curl Body weight 3 sets of 12
Medicine ball squat 6 lbs kettleball 3 sets of 12
Cable abductor 7.5 lbs 3 sets of 12 on each side
Cable kickback 10 lbs 3 sets of 10
Medicine ball crunch 6 lbs kettleball 3 sets of 12
Hill walking Speed 4.0, incline 4.0-10 30 minutes

I just got back to the hotel-casa and it’s time to get ready for school 😀

Hope you have a great morning and I’ll see ya with pics of all of the goodies we’ll be making today.

I’m especially stoked to try these kale chips that are in the dehydrator:

021

And these rosemary walnut crackers

022

They’ll be nice and crispy…

023

Aight, I’m out.

Hasta luego, bloggies <3

xoxo,

G

I have been sad ever since I heard about Patrick Swayze too!
How sexy was he in “Ghost”!!?? That’s when I first fell in love with him.

Thanks for the great blog updates about your adventures at 105 degrees. I so want to go there!

I am slowly adding more raw items into my diet – many thanks to you. I never even thought about it before finding your blog! And guess what I had for breakfast this morning – a banana with almond butter! It was delicious!!

Hey there Gina, I saw your Patrick Swayze tweet when I woke up this morning, so that’s how I found out. It’s really sad. He was the picture of grace with how he handled his battle with this terrible disease.

Just think, when this weekend hits, you’ll be halfway to getting home to see the puppers and your man already! Time will fly by with how busy you’re keeping. We all appreciate so much that you are keeping us filled in on your fun adventure! Have a great day!

I can tell you’re a little lower key today Miss G, hope you are doin’ ok. It’s gotta be really hard for you missing your Pilot, been there before with being separated from my hubs for a month and it sucks, no sugar-coatin’ that one. But I’m wishing you good vibes and happy days. Enjoy that ice cream and whatever the kale chips were garnished with looks really good, so maybe drown your PAtrick sorrows in those a bit 🙂 Hugs!

I’m a little blah today too..it’s raining here in AR. A little Boy George & Culture Club is cheering me up a little. I just bought an Excalibur, should be in any day now. All of your food looks so yummy, what cookbook would you recommend to someone new to raw foods?

  15. K on September 15, 2009 at 11:09 am

I asked for a dehydrator for my upcoming b-day. I’m most excited about making crackers in it! I’ve been marking recipes online already!!! Can’t wait to see how yours turn out! 😀
