Everydrop Water Filter (+ a giveaway!)

[This post is sponsored from Whirlpool® Water. Of course, all opinions are my own. Read on for more details + a giveaway for a lucky reader to get their own EveryDrop™ Water Filter + a $100 gift card!]

I’ve gotten away from my number-focused ways. There was a time when I counted calories judiciously, knew my weight and body fat percentage, and recorded various numbers in a notebook… or let them run wild in my brain. I haven’t weighed myself for months (and prefer to go by how my clothes fit) and no longer keep track of all the little details. The only thing I track now is something that has a huge impact on my skin, energy levels and metabolism: water intake. I have a big Nalgene bottle (32 oz.) and make sure I fill it at least three times throughout the day. (You need 96 oz. of water a day to live– more if you’re active!) Everydrop 1 of 1 4

I always have my water bottle with me, and pack one up for Livi too since she loves to drink water all day. Even when I travel, I’ll put an empty large water bottle in my backpack and fill it once I get through security. It’s better than buying plastic bottles, and this way, I have a water bottle for my trip. Here’s the thing, though: when I travel, the water kind of sketches me out. I’m always hearing about different things that can be found in the water system -ok, and I was traumatized when I read an article about some things that were found in Tucson- so I always figure: the more filtration, the better. Needless to say, I was pretty excited when Whirlpool Water offered to send me an EveryDrop Water Filter to try out. It was much smaller than I imagined, Everydrop 1 of 1 and came in a cute travel case. Everydrop 1 of 1 2 I quickly assembled it, and couldn’t wait to try it out: Everydrop 1 of 1 3 Something that surprised me was how quickly the water came out! It would be so easy to use this between a public water fountain and my bottle. Everydrop 1 of 1 5 In reality, I don’t see myself carrying it around with us all the time -I have too much to lug around as is -but it is definitely something I’ll use while traveling. If you’d like to win your own + a $100 Visa gift card, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post with techniques you use to drink more water. I have a few in this post, but my all-time favorite is to infuse it with fresh fruit and herbs.  You can get up to two entries by completing any of the methods below!

  3. aeb on November 5, 2013 at 7:46 pm

I always add lemons and limes to my water. Game changer in flavor – I find myself drinking way more water and it masks any odd tap flavors!

  4. Tori L on November 5, 2013 at 7:47 pm

I love me some H2O, I’d love to try it out!

  5. Karin on November 5, 2013 at 7:47 pm

I only drink water and I use a pure filter. But, when I travel I use a brita water bottle filtration system. It works great.

  6. Kim on November 5, 2013 at 7:50 pm

This looks awesome! I love chia seeds in my water 🙂

  7. Kelsey S on November 5, 2013 at 7:53 pm

I like to mix some cold brewed herbal tea into my water to give it a little flavor boost! Delish!

  8. Kimberly on November 5, 2013 at 7:56 pm

My office is freezing so I drink warm water throughout the day. Hydrates me and keeps me warm!

  9. Caroline on November 5, 2013 at 8:13 pm

I started drinking a lot of water after I was diagnosed with kidney stones a few years ago and now it’s second nature. My Camelbak water bottle makes me drink more than a normal water bottle because the bite and sip straw is so easy to drink from!

  10. Kayla on November 5, 2013 at 8:17 pm

I make sure I bring a water bottle with me EVERYWHERE. I’ll drink it all day long if I have access.

  11. Rose on November 5, 2013 at 8:26 pm

I bring a couple of water bottles with me to work and challenge myself to finish each one by a certain time of the day.

  12. Sarah on November 5, 2013 at 8:29 pm

I, too, always carry my Nalgene with me to make sure I am drinking enough water each day, especially when I travel!

  13. Sarah on November 5, 2013 at 8:33 pm
  14. Erin on November 5, 2013 at 8:33 pm

I have no problem getting enough water each day. I drink 1-2 liters with each meal, and between! But I always make sure to have a water bottle nearby throughout the day.

  15. Rebecca on November 5, 2013 at 8:34 pm

I keep a water bottle at my desk at all times and make myself drink one before lunch and one after lunch. Then when I’m at home and want an after dinner cookie or treat I fill a cup up with water and drink it before I got to eat the treat!

  16. Rebecca on November 5, 2013 at 8:37 pm
  17. Sarah on November 5, 2013 at 8:38 pm

Thanks so much for the GREAT giveaway. In order to make sure I am constantly drinking I make sure to have water always accessible: I have a water bottle for my desk, one at home, and a small one for my purse. 🙂

  18. Tracey on November 5, 2013 at 8:56 pm

I have a 24 oz. water bottle that I make sure to fill 4x/day. It helps try and get through 2 before lunch, ’cause then I know I can drink the 3rd during lunch and the 4th the rest of the afternoon. 🙂

  19. Abby on November 5, 2013 at 8:58 pm

I’m getting there but could always do better! I carry my water bottle around with me all day, and it does help.

  20. Lisa on November 5, 2013 at 9:11 pm

I have the contigo water bottle that keeps it cold for hours!! Makes me more likely to drink it.

  21. Barb on November 5, 2013 at 9:13 pm

I have an hour commute each way to work, so I drink a bottle each way and drink one at work and I am good to go 🙂

  22. Kristin P. on November 5, 2013 at 9:14 pm

I would love this. I fill up my “big bubba” water bottle at the beginning of the day before I teach first grade. Lately I have been sketched out by the quality of the drinking water at school and this is the perfect solution!

  23. Amanda on November 5, 2013 at 9:15 pm

    Love lemon in my water!

  24. Emily on November 5, 2013 at 9:18 pm

I ALWAYS have my Camelbak water bottle on me. I carry it with me all day to ensure I’m constantly drinking water. Sometimes I flavor my water with flavored stevia drops. My favorite is a couple drops each of orange and vanilla!

  25. Emily on November 5, 2013 at 9:30 pm

Never leave your house without a water bottle!

  26. Amy on November 5, 2013 at 9:35 pm

I tend to drink more water if it’s carbonated I love my soda stream but it does not travel well like this would!

  27. Leah on November 5, 2013 at 9:43 pm

I find that if I drink through a straw, I am able to get more down without thinking as much about it. 🙂

  28. sarah s on November 5, 2013 at 9:45 pm

i spruce up my water with mint or a splash of juice. and i also drink carbonated water alot to mix things up!

  29. Cady on November 5, 2013 at 9:52 pm

If I ever get bored in class/at work, I just pull out my water to keep me awake 🙂 Better than snacking and keeps me hydrated!

  30. Kathy on November 5, 2013 at 9:53 pm

I try to front load the day with water. If I wait too long, I feel tired and I won’t meet my goal by the end of the day. Also, herbal tea is a great way to up water intake, especially in the winter. Thanks for the contest!

  31. Julie on November 5, 2013 at 9:53 pm

I carry my bottle everywhere I go – try to drink a full one in the morning and keep it with me all day. Sometimes I put hair ties with how many I want to drink on my bottle and take them off as I finish each.

  32. Erin on November 5, 2013 at 9:57 pm

I have a problem with the sketchiness of water in public. Plus tap water in Tampa Bay is horrid. I have found myself desperate for more water (I drink like a camel) and I end up buying bottled water which I really don’t like to do for a multitude of reasons. This would be a perfect alternative. I also love your idea of bringing the water bottle & filling it once through security when you travel.

    • Erin on November 5, 2013 at 9:58 pm

Oh & I love to add cucumber & mint to my water. Makes it so refreshing.

  33. Jen on November 5, 2013 at 10:04 pm

I bring a large bottle of water with me when I go out. I love water so I think I probably drink enough each day.

  34. Maggie J on November 5, 2013 at 10:05 pm

I always try to set goals for how many glasses I’ll drink each day. Usually it depends on how active I am, but often I find that I drink the most water when I’m sitting at my desk and am bored!

  35. Wendy on November 5, 2013 at 10:14 pm

I always carry around a water bottle with me!

  36. Liz on November 5, 2013 at 10:15 pm

If I drink through a straw I tend to drink more water! I have 4 water bottles that have a plastic straw so I get enough everyday! But the little filter looks great for on the go!

  37. Amy on November 5, 2013 at 10:24 pm

first thing first, I drink a huge glass of water right when I wake up-it gets me jump started for the day!

  38. Melanie on November 5, 2013 at 10:46 pm

I have a couple of Camelbak water bottles in fun colors which I love and they motivate me to drink more water! Also have a couple of fun Tervis cups, which I love for water as well as hot beverages

  39. Nataly Carbonell on November 5, 2013 at 10:51 pm

I exercise to unduce thirst 😉

  40. aly on November 5, 2013 at 10:54 pm

I drink a ridiculous amount of water a day. I am a teacher and the water at school grosses me out, so I pack three nalgenes to drink while I am at school. This water filter sounds perfect for me!

  41. Lindsay Parker on November 5, 2013 at 10:55 pm

I have marks on my water bottle reminding me where I should be.

  42. Bianca @ Sweet Dreaming on November 5, 2013 at 11:01 pm

i always fill up a glass or water bottle to keep with me and drink every hour!

  43. Kara Neill on November 5, 2013 at 11:10 pm

I use a Nalgene water bottle to help me measure how much I’ve had throughout the day!

  44. Sarah b on November 5, 2013 at 11:11 pm

I stash water bottles in spots that I will see them randomly in the house…whenever I run into a bottle…..I drink 🙂

  45. Janna on November 5, 2013 at 11:17 pm

I always carry a water bottle no matter where I go.

  46. Marian on November 5, 2013 at 11:17 pm

I love adding limes to my water … definitely helps me drink more water!

  47. brittany on November 5, 2013 at 11:21 pm

I carry a water bottle everywhere I go! Did you know that a person is allowed to carry frozen items through airport security…oftentimes I freeze a bottle of water and then enjoy it as it melts. thanks for the great giveaway!

  48. Jacque on November 5, 2013 at 11:25 pm

Awesome! I’m a total weirdo when it comes to water and only drink filtered if I can – I bring 2 big Nalgene’s to work every day and try to drink a third after my evening workout! Thanks for the giveaway!

  49. Holly B on November 5, 2013 at 11:29 pm

I’m one of those weirdos that actually prefers water to soda, so its pretty easy for me. I do keep bottled water around, so I can grab and go when I need to.
