My favorite holiday tradition is getting matching jammies to wear on Christmas eve. And, let’s be honest, I’m not changing all Christmas day;)
We always watch the family stone as a family!!!! I look forward to this time of year because I love this movie so much!
we love getting hot chocolate and driving around looking at lights!
Favorite holiday tradition is ice skating with my family on Christmas Eve! Gets our bodies moving before the food comas begin ๐
Having a Christmas cookie bake-a-thon with my mom and sister.
Our family’s yankee swap. It gets really competitive ๐ I also love our Christmas night spaghetti dinner at my husband’s moms.
My favorite holiday tradition is making breakfast with my family on Christmas morning!
One of my favorite traditiond is watching Home Alone!!
Just pre ordered your book! Can’t wait to get it…congrats!
I preordered a copy of your book! ๐
I love traveling to my sister’s house on Christmas Eve and watching her kiddos open presents Christmas morning!
I’d say making family recipes that have been passed down and going to church as a family on Christmas eve!
there is only like one tradition that my family has: my dad and i set up the mini train around the “chritmas tree” (the train always goes up first, the tree…. not so much, haha). we do it together and it always brings back wonderful memories ๐
Every year we go to our local candy shop, Logan’s Candies, that still make candy canes by hand. They have demonstrations for the public and everyone watching gets a warm freshly made right before your eyes piece of candy cane. They are the best candy canes you will every have. My friends and family always look forward to a candy cane from me with their gift.
Also, I pre-order your book previously. I hope that counts as well. ๐
definitely holiday baking!
Elf on the shelf! My little niece told me the other day how she’s nervous because she thinks Elf saw her being mean to her little brother the other day. I thought it was so cute, she was so concerned that Max the Elf will tell Santa!
My husband and I always dedicate one Friday or Saturday evening before Christmas to camp out on the couch with nibbles and a bottle of wine to watch Love Actually. I only let myself watch the movie once a year, and I look forward to this little date night in all year long.
I love getting together with family on Christmas! I am looking forward to creating new traditions with my own little family! I can’t wait to see my 1.5 year olds excitement on xmas morning!
Family Christmas with EVERYONE haha! Super fun tradition. My bf hasn’t missed a Christmas with family in 37 years ๐
I love holiday baking and watching childhood Christmas movies!!
I love going to church with my family on Christmas Eve.
My favorite holiday tradition is a new one for me this year…baking for all my loved ones and sending care packages to the people I won’t see over Christmas ๐
Since I was little, and my mom and step-dad have been together, we have always had our Christmas celebration on the 24th. Our food for Christmas has always been pizza – we have utilized different pizza places over the years but we’ve always had it (as well as other treats). It was something that was so exciting and special to me as a little kid and still is. Everybody loves pizza, right? Oh, and we get together and be a family as well which is even better than the pizza.
Favourite Christmas tradition: opening the house to all the friends and family we won’t see on the day on Christmas Eve. Stuffing them with food and holiday cheer
My fav holiday tradition is sipping peppermint coffee in my holiday pjs.
Prawns on my parents’ balcony on Boxing Day (the day after Christmas). It’s always super hot and the perfect way to end Chrissy in the summer.
This has been a tough year, as my family lost my mother right after Christmas. I’ve never cared for the season, but something sparked me this year to really get into it, and I’d like to think that my mother has everything to do with it from “up there” as it was her very favorite time of year. So this year (and every year after this), I vow to embrace all of the family traditions. I feel like I’m seeing these for the first time!
My favorite holiday tradition is Christmas Eve at my Mom’s. We have our neighbors over who are family to us.
my parents buy us calendars for the new year
We always go to the movies together as a family on Christmas Day. It started because my grandfather owned several movie theaters when my mom was growing up. He had to work on Christmas Day because it’s actually one of the busiest days at the movies, so my mom and grandma would go be with him at the theater. Now we keep the tradition going and head out for an early afternoon show after opening presents.
My favorite holiday tradition is one night for my kids to sleep by the Christmas tree…I did this as a child too.
This book looks awesome! Fave holiday tradition: watching family home videos from years ago and drinking hot apple cider.
Three years straight my hubby and I have always put the tree up together and made a whole night of it (just like when we were kids)!
My favorite holiday tradition is church on Christmas Eve followed by a party with all of our old neighbors!
My parents always travel to AZ for the holidays. We make a big meal together then watch It’s A Wonderful Life.
My favorite holiday tradition is Christmas eve… we go to my aunts house with my grandparents and have clam chowder, fish, potatoes and cookies just the ten of us. Sounds like a lot but the next day we have 40 people over!
Preordered too! I would love to give one away on my blog. Would you be interested?
My husband and I recently started the tradition of watching White Christmas and having our own little pre-Christmas – just the 2 of us – on the night before we leave to go visit family. It’s nice to slow things down if only for a few hours and just be able to celebrate the season together.
I love spending the day together with my family on Christmas Eve & then we all head to church together that evening. They live 12 hrs from us so we only get to do this every other year and it’s one of my favourite days of the year!
My favorite Holiday tradition is going to the Zoo with my nephews and riding the Zoo train and seeing all the Christmas lights! The entire place is decorated like whoa!
I also pre-ordered. I’m excited, I love switching workouts and recipes up!
I love cutting down a Christmas tree and decorating it.!
My favorite is baking & decorating the sugar cookies we leave for Santa on Christmas Eve. My boys love it too!
We celebrate Hannukah at this time of year and what has become a favorite tradition is having my sister and her kids over for a latke bar – potato latkes with lots of different toppings.
My favorite tradition is part of my job but I love it! Dancing in The Nutcracker!
Being able to spend Christmas Eve with most of my family, then heading to the midnight Christmas Eve service at church!
We usually make gingerbread houses with my mom just before Christmas – but we make them using graham crackers, frosting, and little milk cartons from her school (she’s a kindergarten teacher). It’s so much fun and SO much easier than the more involved kits.
My favorite tradition is grabbing Starbucks and driving around to look at Christmas lights. It’s even more magical if we have snow on the ground!
We love having cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning!
