Guess who ventured into the world today….

me and baby2

It was so nice to get out.

FREEEEEEEDOM!

We had a lovely brunch at Eclectic Cafe:

eclectic5

Lox, eggs, potatoes, OJ

lox

and fruit

fruit and yogurt

for me,

the Pilot had granola, yogurt, eggs and French toast.

Nana and Tata met us for coffee while we ate- it was a perfect Sunday morning.

We’re just chilling around the house for now and some friends are visiting tonight.

Hope you’re having a great weekend <3

Winter Shape Up week 2 will be up tomorrow!

xoxo

I LOVE your hair!! I hope I look as gorgeous as a new momma as you do!

  2. aj on January 22, 2012 at 3:54 pm

You look so great, Gina! I’m borderline obsessed with pics of the new little peanut! The brunch looks heavenly and OUTSIDE!??? Its been around 5 degrees here in Minnesota lately. The idea of outdoor dining is just a distant memory at this point. Sigh.

  3. Kelly on January 22, 2012 at 3:55 pm

Olivia is so tiny!!! WOW! Glad you got to get out and enjoy the morning! 🙂

  4. Sable@SquatLikeALady on January 22, 2012 at 3:56 pm

You look beautiful!!! 🙂 Did everything look brighter and hyper-saturated after being stuck inside for so long?!

  5. mountain girl heidi on January 22, 2012 at 3:58 pm

Hey Gina, I had a question about the Week 1 workout. I feel lame for not visualizing them well in my mind, but I’m having a hard time figuring out the lunges/bicep curl/high knee move. Do I do the full lunge before coming up with a high knee and then the bicep curl (all in one big move) or do I do the weighted lunges separately before ending with standing high knee and bicep curls?

Hope you’re feeling better! I’m sure it feels great to get out and about again.

    • Morgan on January 22, 2012 at 5:26 pm

I took it as do them seperatetly…do the lunges first…then the high knee/bicep curls together.

  6. Megan W. on January 22, 2012 at 3:59 pm

You finally got your lox, i think that was something you were craving while preggars 🙂 So glad you got out to enjoy some sunshine! Congrats on the amazing addition, love following your journey thus far!

  9. Sara on January 22, 2012 at 4:05 pm

This does not look like bed rest!!! I hope you got right back on the couch as soon as you got home. .. *stern look*.

    • Sara on January 22, 2012 at 4:06 pm

Is couch the right word? Or do we say ‘sofa’, where you live? I mean the soft thing that lives in your lounge/living room. 😀

    • Fitnessista on January 22, 2012 at 4:08 pm

I’m on the couch right now 🙂

      • Sara on January 23, 2012 at 4:23 am

Good girl, I wouldn’t like to have to turn all ‘Personal Trainer’ on you. I am a complete bossy boots when it comes to rest and recovery. If you do it right, you only have to do it once. 😀

  10. Sana on January 22, 2012 at 4:06 pm

Hahaah, the Pilot looks so confused 😉

    • Fitnessista on January 22, 2012 at 4:17 pm

It’s because he ordered something healthy 😉

      • Lisa on January 22, 2012 at 8:35 pm

That’s what I was thinking that breakfast would normally be steak, eggs & biscuit! Gina you look great. Love seeing baby pics! She’s so sweet.

Glad you guys got out, went out to eat, enjoyed some nice food and sunshine…after having a baby, it truly is the simple things in life that you used to take for a granted a little that all of a sudden you have newfound appreciation for..well, at least I did 🙂

    Have a great week, Gina!

  23. Rachel on January 22, 2012 at 5:06 pm

  32. Chelsea @ One Healthy Munchkin on January 22, 2012 at 6:26 pm

It must have been so nice to get out of the house! Especially when it involved such a delicious brunch. 😀 I love how the lox is scrambled into the eggs. I need to try that!

  36. jan on January 22, 2012 at 7:11 pm

It’s funny cause your meal is typically a “guy” meal , while the pilot’s meal is more typically a “girl” meal 🙂

  45. Negar M on January 22, 2012 at 10:35 pm

It’s amazing what fresh air can do! I’m glad you got to venture out, you deserve some fun in the (milder “winter”) Sun!

Ironically, I lived within walking distance of that area and never once ate at Eclectic. I tried Renee’s and ate at Frank’s (1.99 for breakfast was too good to pass up before class), I think they’re all related somehow…..

    It’s all a big Tucson mystery…..

  46. Lena @Fit on the Rocks on January 23, 2012 at 12:05 am

Olivia looks so peaceful…almost like she’s enjoying having the sun, too 🙂
