Lovely Day for a Tea Giveaway

Hellooooooo 😀 How are ya?? I’m so glad ya’ll are liking the Winter Shape Up workouts! Keep up the amazing work and update me with how you’re doing! I’ve already heard some awesome feedback from this week’s workout. Check it out, yo 😉

Today has been a chocolatey day.

It all started with this beast:

bfast cookie

An ooey, gooey chocolate bfast cookie.

-1/2 cup multigrain oats

-1 smashed banana

-almond milk

-raw cacao powder

-1 T almond butter

-1/2 scoop vanilla Sun Warrior

-drizzle of the agave cacao syrup Katie sent me

I am a hardcore chocolate lover, and this was almost a little too much sweet for breakfast.

You never would have guessed from my mid-morning snack:

bar

Bahah. More chocolate 😉

Guess lots of veggies are in my lunch future.

I also had a shot of “C”:

emergen c

(Tip: when you use less water, it tastes WAY better)

And LOTS of tea.

tea

(Thank you again to Celestial Seasonings for the sample!)

Whatever this weird ick is, I’m still fighting it 🙂

I spent the morning cleaning the casa then took these little monkeys to the vet.

dogs

Viesa had to get her bordatella, and Bella cowered in the corner the whole time even though she didn’t need to get anything today. They both got ice cream afterwards, though 😉

I’m about to take them for a walk, then meeting Jeni at the gym.

I told you guys that this week I’d let you know about the craziness that’s going on in my life (it’s all good stuff) so I thought I’d start with a little hint.

I’ll be wearing these again:

shoes

😉

Have a wonderful day and I’ll see you soon!

xoxo,

Gina

More cooking school or opening your own?!? I hope so! I hope you sell things online that I can buy. YUM! 🙂

And I did not like my first few attempts at the bfast cooking, but THAT ONE looks amazing and I must try again. You had me at gooey chocolate.

  2. Paige (Running Around Normal) on February 8, 2010 at 12:28 pm

Viesa and Bella are adorable – as always.

Hmm…work shoes! Are you going to be managing your own studio? Going back to school?
    I can’t wait to find out 😀

  3. Jamie (A Healthy JD) on February 8, 2010 at 12:39 pm

For some reason I can’t leave a comment on the actual Lovely Day for a Tea Giveaway page so I figured I’d leave the comment here?

I am currently fighting something going around my school, I’ve been super tired and stuffy. I am always in need of a pick me up and I live on tea. I would love to win this tea package! Thank you for posting it 🙂

I think those are the shoes you wore when you were at 105 degrees!!??

    Sweet puppies! <3

  5. Jenny on February 8, 2010 at 12:43 pm

I also could not leave a comment on the Tea Giveaway page…so I am leaving it here instead! 🙂

I usually eat pretty healthily, but lately I feel like I am eating too many sweets, and could definitely use a cleanse. I make fresh fruit and veggie juices at home, and I think that some cleansing tea would be a perfect supplement to the juices! Yummmm.

    Thanks!

  6. Molly @thevegandorm on February 8, 2010 at 12:46 pm

I have no idea, but I”m guessing more culinary school? (Those look like comfy shoes to stand in, I guess!)

  7. Molly @thevegandorm on February 8, 2010 at 12:48 pm

P.S.: for some reason I can’t comment on the giveaway!

  8. Jessica @ The Process of Healing on February 8, 2010 at 12:50 pm

Love Danskos! I just got a pair of the tall boots, so cute.

  10. Aileen on February 8, 2010 at 12:59 pm

I tried to leave a comment on the tea giveaway page, but for some reason I couldn’t? I’d love a chance to win — I have a very stressful exam coming up in a few weeks, and I’ve been having trouble sleeping. Some tea to help me relax would be great!

  11. Jenn on February 8, 2010 at 1:02 pm

I couldn’t comment on the other page either, but here are my symptoms: scratchy throat, froggy cough, starting to feel a little sluggish and run down. Please, no more sickness this winter! A little help from Celestial Seasonings would be wonderful!

  12. Brittany on February 8, 2010 at 1:02 pm

My guesses: More culinary school, opening your own raw takeout shop, baking and selling raw goodies??

  13. Amy on February 8, 2010 at 1:03 pm

Wow – so much going on!!!! BTW…just passing it along – blue agave on sale – link on my blog:

    http://notjustbeansandrice.blogspot.com/2010/02/blue-agave-on-sale.html

Don’t know if you used this – can you give me your opinion on it before I purchase? Thanks!

  14. The Hot and Fit on February 8, 2010 at 1:08 pm

Hey Gina and happy Monday! Thanks for the challenge! I have already scheduled it into my planner! Love it!

  15. Jessie (Vegan-minded) on February 8, 2010 at 1:09 pm

Hmm, those look like your culinary school shoes, so I know it’s got to be food related!

By the way, I couldn’t comment on the giveaway page for some reason, but I could really use some Sleepy Time tea from Celestial seasonings to help me relax and get to bed earlier. 🙂

  16. Teri [a foodie stays fit] on February 8, 2010 at 1:09 pm

Like everyone else, I can’t leave a comment either. consider this my entry! 🙂

I’m feeling worn down and would love a little tea package!

  17. Cara on February 8, 2010 at 1:12 pm

    • Fitnessista on February 8, 2010 at 4:14 pm

      yes it does 🙂

  18. Cindy on February 8, 2010 at 1:15 pm

My entry for the tea give away: I am trying to reduce the coffee in my life, but it is cold in Illinois! I would love to try some new hot teas as a sub for the crazy amount of coffee I usually drink. 🙂

  19. rachelgab on February 8, 2010 at 1:15 pm

I often feel fatigued and frequently get headaches. I am trying to give up coffee, so the tea would be welcomed 🙂

  20. Kate on February 8, 2010 at 1:16 pm

My sleep is much better than it used to be, but I’d love to try the Sleepytime Tea for those nights that still have me tossing & turning.

  21. Susan on February 8, 2010 at 1:17 pm

    i love tea..anytime, anywhere. 🙂

  22. kittay skeezah on February 8, 2010 at 1:18 pm

  23. genesis on February 8, 2010 at 1:20 pm

my symptoms are im feeling healthy and want to stay that way.

  24. maren on February 8, 2010 at 1:21 pm

couldnt comment either!! but ive been trying to fight off a cold for sometime now and it keeps coming back! teas would be helpful!

  25. lauren on February 8, 2010 at 1:24 pm

My symptoms: where to start? I have GERD and always experience side effects from the disease. They include a “lump in the throat” feeling, sore throat, heartburn and sometimes feeling short of breath. I also am feeling SUPER run down, working 3 jobs and going to school full time is not helpful in staying healthy.

Thanks again for always posting awesome advice!

  26. kara on February 8, 2010 at 1:25 pm

i have been fighting the ick too.. I think I need a nice big glass of C to help and some tea, of course!

  27. Melissa on February 8, 2010 at 1:26 pm

For the tea giveaway. I’ve had a upset stomach and runny nose since yesterday.

  28. Kayla S. on February 8, 2010 at 1:27 pm

My symptoms for the Celestial Seasonings giveaway would have to be mainly feeling bloated and/or run down. Boated due to the veggies I eat (but they’re sooo good!!!!), so I’d love to be able to enjoy a mug of tea at night to reduce that. Thanks!!

  29. Amy on February 8, 2010 at 1:27 pm

I could not leave a comment in your tea giveaway, so here are my symptoms:

I need to cleanse my body after over-indulging in fatty foods, alcohol or caffeine.
After lots of goodies at yesterday’s super bowl party (sans the alcohol), I feel the need to cleanse my body! Which is perfect, b/c this Saturday is my bday and Sunday is Valentine’s Day!!

  30. Diane on February 8, 2010 at 1:36 pm

I’d love some energy or cleansing tea! And I’m gonna guess something in the medical field??? Maybe dietician/nutritionist???

  31. Kelly on February 8, 2010 at 1:36 pm

The Bfast cookie looks delish!! And I’m in need for some new tea.. I tried the Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride this past holiday season and loved!! Hope you get to feeling better!

  32. Teresa on February 8, 2010 at 1:37 pm

I must say that I am very happy and so thankful to be generally healthy and almost never sick. My health and wellness are important to me and I pay close attention to how I treat my body. All that being said, I do suffer from lack of energy (although I do remain very active), which I am experimenting with right now to try and improve. I do love tea and would love to win the giveaway!

Glad to hear that you are starting to feel better. And so intrigued to learn about the changes coming up in your life! What could those shoes mean?

  33. Kellie on February 8, 2010 at 1:38 pm

First of all, I love your blog!
Second of all, I just began drinking tea this past fall & am quickly falling in love with it! I am amazed by its health benefits & want to continue to explore different types and flavors!
Third, my symptoms. I am a busy busy college student trying to balance 18 credits, work, clubs, healthy lifestyle, and a social life!! I am often run-down & try to avoid getting sick as much as possible. I also am feeling quite bloated from a weekend of a little bit of indulging on caffeine & fatty foods. I’d love to cleanse my body with some delish tea!
Keep up the great work, you rock! 🙂

  34. Allie on February 8, 2010 at 1:40 pm

I am run down with a terrible (constant) stomachache! I would love to win some tea to help with that.

  35. Sarah @ The Foodie Diaries on February 8, 2010 at 1:43 pm

im so excited to hear your news! i’m going to stalk you on twitter right now to see if i can pick up any hints haha

  36. Krista on February 8, 2010 at 1:46 pm

Gina, this couldn’t have come at a better time for me. I’e been pretty stressed lately and have been suffering from almost daily heartburn and restless sleeps. I love to drink tea when I’m not well and LOVE the Celestial brand. Man I hope I win! 😉

  37. Amanda on February 8, 2010 at 1:50 pm

I workout, eat healhy (most of the time), and get 8 hours of sleep…but the last week my engergy level has been down, and I constantly am feeling tired. I would also like to detox from alcochol from my weekend nights 🙂

  38. Lauren on February 8, 2010 at 1:52 pm

I have a sore, scratchy throat from talking a lot (haha) and running outdoors in very wintry weather. I’d love some Celestial Seasoning tea to keep me hydrated and feeling great!

  39. Megan @ Healthy Hoggin on February 8, 2010 at 1:53 pm

Please enter me into the giveaway! I’m having trouble sleeping, because my husband is about to leave for a 6-week long work trip– I’m sure you can relate to that! 😉 Also, we’ve been indulging in too much fatty “comfort food” since hearing his travel news, so I’d love some tea for bloating and detox! Thanks!!

  40. Sarah R on February 8, 2010 at 1:53 pm

Cooking school? Or are you opening up your own business making healthy food??? Hum…

  41. Beth on February 8, 2010 at 1:54 pm

My symptoms: The past two days I’ve had an upset stomach with bloating. I would love to try the Tummy Mint. 🙂
I’ve also over indulged a bit over the weekends (or weekends in general) and the AM Detox seems great also.

  42. Carla on February 8, 2010 at 1:54 pm

I have had a sore throat the last two days, I am fighting it with all I can (Emergen-C, Sleepytime! etc) but I am worried it is going to develop wings. Whenever I get into a killer gym routine I always get ill…I am sure it is the gross people who don’t clean their machines. Anyways I have been a devoted CS fan since…forever, and would LOVE to try these new things, ESPECIALLY the Sleepytime Extra, as the original has been my love for years!

  43. emily on February 8, 2010 at 1:57 pm

    I love Celestial Seasonings tea!
I am hardly ever sick, but I do get occasional bad headaches, bloating, and fatigue. I also get way too stressed over life’s little issues. Maybe a relaxing tea package could help?

  44. jds on February 8, 2010 at 1:58 pm

i’ve currently got a sore throat and am snowed in in dc! this would be perfect!

  45. lori on February 8, 2010 at 2:00 pm

I’ve been fighting off something, but cheering on the saints to victory in the cold last night didn’t help. I woke up with a runny nose and a sore throat =(

  46. Mara @ What's For Dinner? on February 8, 2010 at 2:02 pm

AAH!!! Are you cheffing again?!?! I know Danskos are the shoe of choice for most of my chef-friends…

I got to visit the Celestial Seasonings factory/plant in CO when I was younger, it was so cool!

  47. Heidi (Fighting with Food) on February 8, 2010 at 2:03 pm

Those look like some comfy shoes for someone in the health field!

  48. Brigit on February 8, 2010 at 2:03 pm

Headache, exhausted and run down, sore throat 🙁 I feel nasty and some tea would be nice 🙂

  49. Heidi (Fighting with Food) on February 8, 2010 at 2:06 pm

After today’s workout, I’m feeling perfectly healthy with no odd symptoms to speak of! I’ll take a green tea, please 🙂

  50. Haleigh on February 8, 2010 at 2:06 pm

Are you going to go back to cooking school? I can’t wait to hear about what you have been up to.
