One Happy Dehydrator

Hi guys 😀 Looks like ya’ll wanted some yoga! I don’t blame you one bit- it’s an amazing giveaway 🙂 You have until midnight to enter and don’t forget to enter the coupon code “Fitnessista” for 30% off your YogaDownload.com purchases.

I DID have a lot of awesome pics (and macaroon porn) for ya, but I took my memory card out of the camera and have NO IDEA where I put it!! Gah! It’s going to drive me crazy.. until I buy a new one tonight and find the old one somewhere random, like in a shoe, a week later. Scatterbrained :/

So I re-took some pics via the Crackberry.

The puppers and I went on a glorious 40 minute walk this morning. We took it nice and slow (TWSS?) and admired the gorgeous spring scenery.

Does anyone know what type of tree that is? It’s PINK! And beautiful. One thing I will miss about Valdizzy: gorgeous flowered trees.

I met Jeni at the gym and did 30 minutes of abs with her –and she did cardio while I watched with jealousy and chatted with the other trainers- and then we went to get smoothies at the Main Squeeze.

I rolled with the standard Tropical Superfood smoothie with Sun Warrior and spirulina that I had in a baggie in my purse 😉

When I got back to the casa, I got down to biznazz.

One happy dehydrator:

And yes, the cacao macaroons are stuffed with raw crunchy almond butter

IMG00120-20100323-1554

I know, right? 😀

A very exciting delivery came from Amazon.com today (I have a problem.. I’m open about it, though. Online shopping and I are friends):

IMG00121-20100323-1556

This is one of the products that Amazon always recommends for me. After seeing that perfect booty and pair of legs for a month, I just went ahead and bought it up (just what they wanted me to do, haha). I’m about to go up to the yoga room and see if it has an awesome ab routine to do. With superclean eats and a focus on toning the next 2 weeks, maybe I’ll have a banging six-pack when it’s over? One can only dream 😉

Off to *crunch and burn* then head back to work.

xoxo,

Gina

They look like cherry blossoms to me! But I could be wrong! I love them though, I wish Spring would get cracka lackin’ over here, because this dreary weather is muy triste! And those macaroons look so delicious. Yum.

  7. Heather (Heather's Dish) on March 23, 2010 at 4:25 pm

I have that dvd too… I do feel some burn but to me its pretty boring and the voiceover creeps me out. Let me know what you think about it.

  10. PRT on March 23, 2010 at 4:30 pm

I think that’s an almond tree. I have a few near my house and after the flowers fall, bitter almonds appear, but maybe it’s another tree from a near family.

That smoothie and macaroons look amazing!!! Drooling over the keyboard right now just thinking about the macaroons…

  11. Teri [a foodie stays fit] on March 23, 2010 at 4:32 pm

I’ve wanted that DVD for so long! I can’t wait to hear what you think.

I want those cookies…yummy! Any word on your online store?

No idea what tree that is, but we have a lot in Winston-Salem too. They are goregous!

  13. LisaG on March 23, 2010 at 4:37 pm

So those are raw reese cups; gotta be good. Yea, that’s a cherry tree.

  14. liz on March 23, 2010 at 4:38 pm

I’ve been seeing that DVD everywhere! It’s at the top of my netflix queue and I was thinking of taking it on vacation with me next month. Looking forward to your review

  15. kate on March 23, 2010 at 4:39 pm

Those macaroons look so good! Im in favor of anything filled with almond butter!

  16. Karyn on March 23, 2010 at 4:39 pm

that looks like a cherry blossom but i only thought they were in the dc area (not native to the us but a gift from japan). but i could be wrong on both counts haha

and i have to delete all the emails amazon sends saying “you’ll like this” because odds are i will and then i’ll buy it haha!

  17. Raewyn on March 23, 2010 at 4:43 pm

Holy yum…those macaroons look amazing! I nearly passed out when you said “almond butter”. That smoothie looks good too. Hope that Body Sculpt works out and you’re able to do it!

  18. Elizabeth on March 23, 2010 at 4:46 pm

It might be a red bud tree. My mom and I had a whole conversation last weekend about why red bud trees are named as they are when the buds are pink. 🙂

  19. Kilee on March 23, 2010 at 4:54 pm

Macaroons look nummy yummy! I’m sorry to hear about your knees still bugging you. I think that you are very smart to take some time off and listen to your body. I once had to spend 10 weeks in a walking cast. However, those 10 weeks healed my ankle and I was back to doing what I love to do. Way to stay strong and focus on what you can do health wise!

  20. Megan @ Healthy Hoggin' on March 23, 2010 at 5:02 pm

Amazon recommends that DVD to me, too! (I think I have a similar online shopping problem!) Look forward to hearing what you think about it. 😉

  21. Kimberly J on March 23, 2010 at 5:02 pm

That could be a crab apple tree? They are so beautiful and pink during the spring!

  22. lisa on March 23, 2010 at 5:06 pm

I have that DVD and I really like it.
I also have Physique 57- so I have been using that one a little more – I like to spice it up a bit.
I hope you are feeling better very soon!

  23. Keri on March 23, 2010 at 5:08 pm

It is a cherry blossom tree! They are beautiful. We have cherry blossom races here in NJ in April when they are in full bloom 🙂

  24. adriana on March 23, 2010 at 5:12 pm

    Hi Gina
sooooo…I ran my first marathon on sunday. yay! my muscles are sore and hurt like the dickens. anti-yay. (also anti-yay: had to walk 2.5 miles uphill to Dodger Stadium (start line) before the marathon due to the UNBELIEVABLE traffic gridlock that formed around the area!!) GOOD NEWS: I received my foam roller today! Can’t wait to try it when I get home.

P.S. Send some macaroons over my way…maybe they will help me make up for my calorie deficiency as I have no appetite since Sunday.(jk…kinda)

  25. Jessica @ The Process of Healing on March 23, 2010 at 5:18 pm

I’ve seen that DVD a million times too and i’m very curious about it as well!

  26. Marianne on March 23, 2010 at 5:18 pm

It’s some type of ornamental cherry tree.

  27. Allie (Live Laugh Eat) on March 23, 2010 at 5:23 pm

Send some of those macaroons over my way, K?? 🙂

  28. Tay on March 23, 2010 at 5:27 pm

Those are my favorite trees ever!! I’m pretty sure those are cherry trees. But they might be a different tree that blooms a little later and is a little lighter pink with bigger flowers. I LOVE coming home just to see them!

  29. Jessie (Vegan-minded) on March 23, 2010 at 5:31 pm

First off, your macaroons look mouthwatering! I’m not sure what that tree is called, but we have flowering trees like them all over in FL. So pretty! I am interested to see what you think of the body sculpt dvd. I just got my own copy a couple of weeks ago and I love it so far. 🙂

  30. Caryn on March 23, 2010 at 5:53 pm

please do a review of that dvd (if you want to and have time and stuff)! i’ve been eyeing it up for awhile and am anxious to hear what you think!

  31. kristina on March 23, 2010 at 6:00 pm

i love these trees too! it looks like either a cherry blossom or plum blossom tree. i believe that the plum blossom trees yield a darker pink color than the cherry blossom trees.

  32. Janel (Eat Well with Janel) on March 23, 2010 at 6:06 pm

Hey lady! I have been to the Exhale in Boston (AMAZING!) and took their core class. It was honestly one of the hardest workouts I’ve ever done so I hope the DVD is just as good. Enjoy!

  33. Anne on March 23, 2010 at 6:11 pm

I bet you’ll love Core Fusion!! I’ve been doing Physique 57 which is similar (the creators were actually taught by Core Fusion creators) but I’ll be interested to hear your thoughts on the DVD!

  34. Ashlei on March 23, 2010 at 6:29 pm

I’ve been loving my dehydrator lately too! Yummm for macaroons! 🙂

Hehe you have my address, in case its not already written on the bottom of those macs!

  36. Vicky on March 23, 2010 at 6:45 pm

Cherry blossom tree! We have tons in DC (Cherry Blossom Festival is right around the corner) and they’re almost at their peak. So gorgeous!

  37. Spotty Prep on March 23, 2010 at 6:54 pm

I drove through Valdosta on my to and from Charleston this weekend and could not believe all the flowers on the way! So pretty! I thought they were crepe myrtles or dogwoods, but I guess they are cherry blossoms!

The macaroons look AMAZING!! (A Macaroon boutique is opening next to the hotel I stayed at in Charleston!)

  38. Kristin (Cook, Bake and Nibble) on March 23, 2010 at 6:55 pm

WOW, pure food sex… those macaroons look foodgasmic. How do I get some of those over here?!?!

Can’t wait to hear your DVD review!

  40. stacey on March 23, 2010 at 7:03 pm

Hey Gina- I was wondering what brand of mung bean pasta you use? I found pasta at whole foods made from mung bean starch but it didn’t list the protein content you mentioned in one of your posts.

  41. Kelly on March 23, 2010 at 7:04 pm

Wow that is a great booty and set of legs on that DVD cover.

  42. Carrie on March 23, 2010 at 7:31 pm

I can’t wait to hear what you think about that DVD. In fact, I would love to know what you think about the Lotte Berk method. I have Lotte Berk and the Method DVDs. I did not like the workouts on Lotte Berk (they talked too much about body positioning), and I thought the Method DVDs were too long. I hear Kelly Ripa gets her ridiculously toned body by doing a bar method class.
Anyway, please share what you think of this type of exercise…..pros, cons, can they really get you that toned?
    Thanks!

  43. michele on March 23, 2010 at 7:41 pm

I have that tree too! I think it is a cherry blossom, but curious what other say (didn’t read comments yet). I love Exhale Core Fusion. I do them for free on Exercise TV (through my cable). Can’t say enough about it. Very, very challenging it a very good way.

  44. amy on March 23, 2010 at 7:41 pm

That could be a dogwood tree!

  45. livelaughlove15 on March 23, 2010 at 7:42 pm

I have that DVD and its a good workout. It took a while for me to get used to it, since I typically like to lift weights for strength training. It definitely makes you burn!

  46. caronae on March 23, 2010 at 7:43 pm

I believe that’s a magnolia tree. Aren’t they gorg? SO JEALOUS of your new DVD. Amaze! Happy Wednesday (almost)!

  47. Alison on March 23, 2010 at 7:46 pm

Looks like a cherry blossom or a dogwood tree! I hope you like the video – I bought the set and I really liked it…the guy and girl are kind of hilarious to watch. I’ll be interested to see what you say!

  48. Sarena (The Non-Dairy Queen) on March 23, 2010 at 7:53 pm

I think that is the same show they have on FitTv now…if so, it definitely works some muscles I did not know I had. I loved that it did not use weights and that you could really feel what you are doing.
