Peanut butter jelly dip + Bitsy’s Brainfood giveaway
This post is sponsored through my partnership with Bitsyโs Brainfood + includes an amazing giveaway opportunity.
One of the things that Iโve noticed about Liv and young kiddos is that they like to feel like theyโre part of the team, and not quite so different from the adults. This is why Iโll usually serve Liv what Iโm eating (or she eats it out of my bowl, haha) or make her similar versions of our beloved meals. Itโs a fun way to find out new favorites, and sheโll surprise me with the things she prefers. (Like the other day, she came into the kitchen and asked for a small bowl of cornichons. I was like, โWhat?”) Needless to say, she was excited to see that I made a kidsโ-size cheese board for a recent dinner party.
I just cut up some turkey and cheese with a star cookie cutter, washed some strawberries, added a couple of string cheeses,
and made a bowl of peanut butter and jelly dip to serve with the new Bitsyโs Brainfood Smart Crackers. The adults ended up going crazy for this stuff, too, and the crackers are perfectly sweet and salty.
Are you ready for the dip recipe? Itโs seriously the easiest thing ever. (It reminds of a recipe I once read that was something like โOpen a can of peas. Heat in a saucepan with butter. Eat.โ haha)
Combine equal parts cream cheese, peanut butter, and strawberry jam (<โ I used 1/3 cup of each). Heat on a medium-low until smooth and warm. Serve topped with cinnamon. Thatโs it!
At least a few time during the night, the Pilot kept saying how great it was. It will definitely be a party staple from now on!
The dip paired perfectly with the new Maple Carrot Bitsyโs Smart Crackers, which Liv absolutely loves. The Bitsyโs Brainfood Smart Cookies are a staple in our house, so Liv was thrilled that there were new Bitsyโs boxes when we went to Target.
Some more info about their new Smart Crackers:
-Each serving contains half a serving of organic veggies, and are a great source of Vitamins A, B6, B12, D and Folic Acid
-Theyโre nut-free and baked in a peanut-free and tree nut-free facility
-The crackers are in fun Tangram shapes which help to teach logic, math and spatial reasoning. I appreciate any opportunities to inject learning into snack time, and the first time she tried the crackers, Liv started creating houses and rockets with the shapes.
-The Bitsyโs Brainfood brand was handpicked as one of the 20 natural, organic and sustainable brands as part of Targetโs Made to Matter collection. This makes it easier for consumers to find natural, organic and sustainable lines while shopping at Target. The Bitsyโs cookies and crackers can be found at Target, and are 20% off through the Cartwheel app.
-Bitsyโs Brainfood is one of my favorite product lines to purchase because the ingredients are fantastic, and I love the philosophy behind the brand. It was created by two moms with a mission to make healthy food fun, and they want to encourage kids to enjoy healthy options while theyโre young, as these habits will stay with them as they grow. They donโt hide the fact that there are fruits and veggies in their products because they want kids to know what theyโre eating.
You can join the Bitsyโs Smart Cookie Community here (US residents) to receive samples, exclusive information and coupons.
(Livโs favorite flavor is the Sweet Potato Cinna-graham, and I love the sweet and salty Maple Carrot Crisp. We still need to try the Cheddar Chia Veggie!)
And now itโs giveaway time!

My son requests just peanut butter and jelly mixed together as a meal. The dip will probably blow his mind!
I don’t have kids – and can’t wait to make this dip! It sounds perfect!
I would love to try these for my toddler! He isn’t a fan of sweet potato or carrots so I’d like to see if he’d enjoy these crackers!
We melted cheese on saltine crackers — fine dining at it’s best!
I loved (and still do) pretzel bites!
I picked up a box of the carrot maple at Target after you said you liked them. I may have eaten more than my daughter. They are great with cream cheese and cinnamon too.
When I first saw the kids cheeseboard I thought it was adorable! My daughter would be equally as excited to be included in something like this for my next dinner party. ๐ Thanks for the idea!
Oh my gosh, this grosses me out SO much now but I lovedddd bologna sandwiches as a child. Mayo, bologna, bread. Yuck.
My 5 year old adores these crackers! I love them too!
When I was little, my favorite food was broccoli. Kind of weird, but I still love it now.
My girls are usually so picky with dry snacks, it’s hard to find something they both like. Our usual snacks are chopped up fruit or raisins. They always scarf it down!
Yum! We’ll have to try those little crackers
I’ve only found Bitsy’s once at Target, but I’m going to keep my eagle eye out!
Haha I was the worst as a kid… my poor parents. I lived off chicken tenders and corn on the cob.
This dip is being made tonight! PB & J is my favorite combo.
We just tried the sweet potato crackers and they were a huge hit with my super picky son! I can’t wait to try the others. I have always loved apples and cheese as a snack, my son refuses to eat them together but he will snack on both one at a time ๐
I am not afraid to admit that my favorite snack as a kid (and as a college student) was Totino’s Pizza Rolls. I could easily kill a bag of those in one sitting. Oh, to be 17 again. But for real, if Totino’s decided to make a new organic additive free version, I’d be all over that shit.
My favorite snack as a kid was granola bars!
Bugles were my favorite!
I was obsessed with the honey mustard and onion pretzel pieces. They were my favorite snack, and I remember getting myself a little bowl and taking them with me to my “hiding place” where I’d sit and read for hours.
I’ve seen these at Sprouts and ha e been meaning to try them!
Thanks for the giveaway! I can’t wait to make the dip for my daughter ๐
I just picked up a box each of Bitsy’s new cereals and the Chia Cheddar crackers are SO good!
My favorite childhood snack was Cheetos cheese puffs! I could eat those all day long!
goldfish! I’d eat them a lot more often now if i could too!
I loved PB and J!
My fav snack as a kid was peanut butter crackers…mmmmmm.
We love the Bitsy Brain Food cookies, the crackers look yummy too!
I always loved graham crackers with peanut butter on them! (as an adult I figured out adding some dark chocolate chips makes a killer dessert snack)
I remember eating lots of peanut butter toast! Maybe because that has not changed at all…
I don’t remember snacking a whole lot as a kid. Pop tarts maybe.
As a mom-to-be, I find it really helpful to read posts like this and get an idea of nutritious snack options/ideas for the near future ๐
I loved Handi-snacks! Crackers & cheese..with the little red stick ๐
That dip is so easy and sounds delicious!
My favorite snacks were chips and salsa and popcorn. Still are some of my favorites! I just bought two of the Bitsy’s crackers because my 4 year old is obsessed with pirates and dinosaurs. They sure have cute packaging!!
Cheese and crackers was my favorite snack as a kid.
As I kid, I loved all those sweet, junky snacks and treats. I ate a lot of Eggo waffles, mac and cheese and fruit snacks! ๐ That dip looks delicious too!
We just discovered the “cookiesl and they are so good!
I really have been meaning to try these. Thanks for the reminder!
my favorite snack as a child were BBQ chips. I know so healthy. My son’s is anything carb related. Like mother – like son!
Strawberry jelly on wonder bread…oh the 80s!
Favorite snack as a kid was Triscuit pizza – squirt of pizza sauce and piece of mozzerella cheese on top of a Triscuit, broil in toaster, and watch out for mouth burn.
One of my favorites things as a kid was nachos. I would specifically ask for “black bugs” (black olives) and “hot pickles” (jalapenos) to be on them. Even at a restaurant haha.
I’ts a tie between grandma’s chocolate chip cookie (her secret was the Nestle tollhouse recipe with more flour), oreo’s and doritos. I loved my junk food back then. Now I don’t even touch it.
I ate apples and peanut butter ALL THE TIME! Still do to this day ๐
I loved bologna sandwiches. The thought of it now disgusts me. lol
This dip sounds amazing and am probably going to make it this weekend lol!
That dip looks soo good!
I loved cream cheese and green olives on white bread as a kid.
Would love to try these esp for my little cousins!
