Rodan + Fields giveaway

Hi friends! We’re enjoying one last day in Cali, but in the meantime, I have some fun posts planned! Today is a giveaway and Fashion post, and tomorrow: a new dance cardio video. Hope you’re having a wonderful start to your week! xo

_______________________________________________________________

My normal skincare routine would probably make some people shudder.

It involves using a little cleanser (usually Yes To brand or Juice Beauty) on the Clairsonic at night, nighttime moisturizer, and tinted SPF moisturizer for day. Once or twice a week, I feel fancy and use a LUSH face mask. That’s it. Full-on skincare/makeup routines freak me out a little bit (toner, exfoliator, makeup remover, primer, whaaaaat?!) and I always feel intimidated when I check out new products. If it ain’t broke, right?

Well, my friend Jeni has always had absolutely gorgeous skin. In the 5 years I’ve known her, it’s continued to become even more vibrant and beautiful. When she last came to visit, it was absolutely glowing, so I asked what products she’d been using. (Unlike me, Jeni knows about makeup and skincare and stuff haha.) She had started using the Rodan + Fields products (founded by the same doctors who created the ProActiv solution) and loved them so much that she became a consultant for them. Since I was curious to try it out, she offered to send me some samples when she got home. (And because she’s one of my closest friends and know it’s important to me, she also triple-checked to make sure that the products weren’t tested on animals. Rodan +Fields is cruelty-free and supported by PETA.)

When I first opened the package, I was really excited to try out the facial, lip serum and exfoliator she sent. The verdict? I absolutely loved everything. My skin looked noticeably different in a couple of weeks. Since I found the products to be extremely effective (yet gentle enough for my sensitive skin) I asked Jeni if she might be able to do a giveaway.

Here’s what one lucky winner will receive:

Rodan

Mini Facial:

You can check out more of the products on her site here and there is a solution tool to help decide what products would be best for your skin.

How to enter:

Just leave a comment with with your favorite skincare or beauty product. If I had to narrow it down to one, mine would be Moroccan oil. It makes my hair smell great and keeps the frizzies away.

I’ll pick the winner via random number generator and announce in this week’s Friday Faves post.

Hope you have a wonderful day! <3

xoxo

Gina

(Not sponsored– just wanted to support one of my best friends and spread the word about this awesome line)

  2. Angela on July 17, 2013 at 4:56 am

I always need to have some form of lip balm, melaleuca works great for me. It contains an spf as well as keeps my lips super moisturized.

  3. Michelle on July 17, 2013 at 4:59 am

I love coconut oil. It’s great for moisturizing my skin and even helps with the frizzies in my hair. You just have to make sure to only use a tiny bit in your hair or else you’ll look like a grease bomb.

  4. Amy on July 17, 2013 at 5:14 am

I’m totally in love with Aveeno lavender body lotion-it’s not too greasy, and smells great! Now my face regimen, however, could use a little overhaul, which is why I would love to win this!

My favorite beauty product has to be coconut oil! I use it as a hair mask once a week and also as a face moisturizer at night. I have yet to find a cleanser that I love.

  18. Nikki on July 17, 2013 at 7:46 am

When it comes to skincare, Proactiv. When it comes to makeup, nude lipstick by Revlon.

  20. Kate on July 17, 2013 at 7:52 am

My favorite product – hands down – is probably Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer! It’s lightweight yet very moisturizing (without leaving my face greasy).

  21. Katie on July 17, 2013 at 7:53 am

I would really love to try these products and Moroccan oil! My skin has been haywire for a while now, so on a continuous search to calm it down again, I don’t have a favourite product or one that has worked for me recently!

  22. Lauren on July 17, 2013 at 7:56 am

  28. Kate on July 17, 2013 at 8:33 am

I really have noticed a lot of benefits to my skin since I started taking drinking Apple Cider Vinegar everyday. My skin is clearer, even with major hormone imbalances that have made my acne come back worse than it was in highschool. I also really love origins ginzing under eye cream, it helps with circles/bags and has a clean refreshing smell.

  29. Christina on July 17, 2013 at 8:44 am

My favorite is Bobbi Brown face cream. These look great!

  30. Anna on July 17, 2013 at 8:46 am

My favorite product is my Mary Kay Timewise moisturizer. One of the only moisturizers my sensitive skin can take!! I would love to try this new stuff out though!

  31. Katelin on July 17, 2013 at 8:48 am

I am like you…no idea what I am doing and have used the same product since in High School. I use Clean and Clear everyday lotion during the day and regenerative cream at night.

  32. Annie @ Annie Get Your Run on July 17, 2013 at 8:49 am

Cetaphil, for sure. It goes along with the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” mantra. It also fits the “if it ain’t expensive, it’s right up my alley” idea. 🙂 I’ve been using it for almost 10 years….love it!

  33. Amber @ Busy, Bold, Blessed on July 17, 2013 at 8:52 am

I think I need to get on the Moroccan oil bandwagon! I think my favorite beauty product is eye primer. I love to do some eye shadow, but I always feel like it ends up all smudged in the crease of my eye by the end of the day… until someone introduced me to eye primer. I seriously use the cheapest one from E.L.F. at Target (I think it’s a dollar… it might be $3) and it works so great… my make up will stay put all day! Game changer 🙂

  34. Helen on July 17, 2013 at 8:56 am

I love my Shiseido face cleanser. Very gentle but effective

  35. Lauren on July 17, 2013 at 9:02 am

Coconut oil for make up remover – so effective and gentle! I also use it for night time moisturizer.

  36. Kelly G. on July 17, 2013 at 9:05 am

My favorite skincare product is probably Clinique dramatically different moisturizing lotion because it’s something my mom always uses and it reminds me of her.

  37. Alisa on July 17, 2013 at 9:05 am

Can’t live without my clarisonic! Also recently discovered Josie Maran spf 40, which I love!

  39. Amanda on July 17, 2013 at 9:11 am

  43. Jenny on July 17, 2013 at 9:16 am

I try to use antioxidant serums in the morning and they seem to help! My fav is Skinceuticals CE Ferulic–expensive but effective. And then layer on Blue Lizard sunscreen for the intense AZ sun!

  46. Anna Bolina on July 17, 2013 at 9:19 am

My favorite product is a tie between vaseline and tea tree oil.

Tea tree oil is a great all-purpose natural antibacterial. I use it on blemishes, bug bites, cuts I fear will scar and blisters. It’s a wonder product!

I had terrible acne as a teen and when I went on accutane my skin was SO painfully dry. My dermatologist told me to slather vaseline on my face in the night. I was so hesitant, but she insisted it wouldn’t give me more blemishes. And BOY was she right. No matter how much I slathered, I started waking up with super soft glowy skin. Now I use it for everything! I put it on my feet and elbows after I get out of the shower, and/or before bed under socks. I use it to soothe blisters and seal in topical medication.

And…now that I’m all old, I use it to compliment my nighttime retin-A treatments. 🙂 It’s taken me from childhood to adulthood.

  47. Lauren C on July 17, 2013 at 9:20 am

I’d have to say my skin has improved since wearing SPF 30 on my face all the time! Can’t leave without it! Also love Alba moisturizer.

By far, I swear by the Clarisonic, ever since I started using it religiously everyday my skin is glowing!
