Vintage flair
ย
I bought this dress over a year ago and have had yet to wear it. I was *waiting* to have it tailored -it was only $6 at a thrift store, so I thought it would be nice to have it fitted and hemmed a little- and when I finally took it in, my brusque seamstress (who is amazing, but tells ya like it is) said, “Keep it like that. It’s fine.” Well, if you say.
Since then, it’s been a matter of actually wearing said dress.
I feel a little more brave out here by the beach because really anything goes, and no one really cares. People walk down the street with no shoes on, and on a daily basis I see a mix of athletic gear, homemade creations and tie dye. Finally, I decided to rock my $6 vintage dress along with my yellow Just Fab sandals.
(don’t mind the sock tan aka Skyscape tan)
With sandals and a big floppy hat, over a swimsuit, it will go from beach to acai bowl lunch with no probs ๐
That dress is super cute on you!
Your seamstress was right! That dress looks so great on you!!
thank you! ๐
The dress is really cute! You look awesome!
Great outfit!
Okay, that description of people walking around in tie dye and no shoes has me concinced you live in OB. Only on Newport!
I am the same way, I let clothes sit around for a while before I get the courage to wear them. Some times it takes a friend’s nod or me finding the right accessory, but I know exactly what you are talking about. The dress looks super cute on you and I love the yellow pop!
Love the outfit, and I love the shoes!
